Hey sweetie! Hope you been doing well, these past few years have been hard without you, but know that your hard work and sacrifices have kept us all proud. Even after all this time, hearing your name everywhere I go is still hard to adjust to, makes us miss you even more. I know you can't wait to come back and see how much Ryder's grown, he's starting school soon and keeps telling me how much he wants to be an astronaut, just like you. Here's a picture of us all, we miss you dearly, please be safe and make it home.

Due to the mass of Mars being less than earth, the weight of your legs feel lighter than ever. For this reason, normal exercise is essential. You continue to hop towards the afformentioned cave in the North.
20 minutes have passed by, traveling a distance of 2 miles you have arrived at the mouth of the cave. A chill runs down your spine as you see a glimmer of dust pass by your visor. You look behind to find a sea of red clouds floating over the horizon. Mountains miles in the distance and everything below has vanished from sight. Last week, you noticed the cave entrance being low in elevation and that the cave was submersed deep into the crust of Mars. With this in mind, the prospect of this cave showing signs of previous life is exhilarating. For centuries mankind has marveled over the possibility of life forms existing outside our home planet, Earth. Up until now, the previous missions to mars were via rovers and drones that had no way to traverse a channel of downhill, complex cave systems. [[Swim right->monster scene 1]]A deep humm comes from the depths of the water, shaking the pool of water you reside in. You feel movement beneath your feet, a chill runs down your spine, this shouldn't be happening, life can't exist on mars.
[[Swim as fast as you can to find shelter]]You succumb to intense panic you start swimming in random directions but that's no use, you you feel an unknown beast coming for you and in seconds mere seconds, a tug on your leg pulls you under, a quick sharp pain penetrates your entire nervous system, you try to let out a scream but you become numb as everything fades to black.

[[The end->Landing]]](stop:)]The environment is covered in dust and it's hard to recognize the usual landmarks. 30 minutes, tired, you arrive at your base. Things are disheveled and your base has seen better days, but all things considered everything looks like it's going to be alright.
[[go inside->good ending]]You've made it back home and everything runs as it should, thank goodness you prepared! Exhausted, you head to your bed and wait to report for your next adventure to unfold the day...
(if: $discoveredwater is true)[You also left a mark in history by being the first person to swim on Mars!]

(live: 3s)[(t8n:"dissolve")[[[The end->Landing]]](stop:)]Wiping down the rock with your gloves reveals a pattern that looks awfully like a fossilised animal that resembles some kind of fish? bug? It's to hard to tell just now. Overjoyed with the amazing new discovery, you hoist the fossil under your arm and wish to go back to see if the storm has subsided. (if: $lamps is true)[You turn around and see your lamps guiding your path back to the [[entrance of the cave]]](else:)[You turn around and notice a dark branch of paths that seems endless, you trust your ability to direct yourself back towards the start of the cave. [[You wander your way back into the labyrinth]]]Following the lamps makes the trip back up to the cave entrance a breeze. You arrive to the entrance of the cave and see that the dust has settled to the ground.
(if: $safe is false)[[[head back home-> walk after storm]]](else:)[[[head back home-> walk after storm 2]]] 10 hours have passed, no food, no water, and oxygen will only last another minute. Despite the greatest discover of your lifetime resting under your arm, there's no chance of making it out of this situation alive. You sit down against the wall of the cave, take your helmet off, and become another relic for someone to find someday.

Yesterday I had found that a northern cave show signs of containing fossil formations, though unlikely, it may be worth looking into.
