This mode is meant for showing the game on larger computer screen, while players join with mobile devices.
This game was created by Tapio Vierros for the 2022 Seven Day Roguelike Challenge. My goal was to explore "open world" level generation that incorporates different map generation algorithms into a single larger level.
The game reuses a lot of stuff from my previous 7DRLs Beware the Space Bears (2015), Fantastic Dungeons (2016), Pour Me More (2019) and an abandoned prototype from 2020. Another goal was to bring those divergent feature sets at least somewhat more back together, to easen making future games.
Art was crafted by several talented individuals, list of which you can find here. Also very helpful has been the rot.js library.
Your goal is to find the four amulets of power from the world and bring them to the altar at the beginning.
The game is turn-based and has permadeath in traditional roguelike fashion. The map details will change on each run, but large scale layout remains the same, so you have an idea what lies in each direction.
Sadly you perished on your journey and are doomed to be forgotten. Perhaps the next life is different...
