You're in your bed after a long day. It's warm and comfy and you soon find yourself drifting to [[sleep.]]You wake up lying in a flower field. The sun above shines bright, and you shield your eyes with your hand. You sit up, and realize that the field spans as far as the eye can see. A cool gentle breeze blows by, rustling the colourful flowers and sending a shiver down your spine. [["Where am I?"]] Only the wind responds to your question, so you begin to walk around, crushing the flowers beneath your feet. As you do, the wind picks up, and its coldness makes you shiver. Suddenly you notice a little cabin to your left, and you swear it hadn't been there a second ago. [[Go towards the cabin]] [[Keep walking]]You walk towards the cabin. Stepping inside, the first thing you see is a large warm fire burning in the hearth. In front of the fireplace is a wooden seat. Still shivering, you walk over to the fireplace and take a seat. The fire warms you right up. You suddenly smell something delicious, and looking to your right, you see a steaming bowl of soup set on a table next you. Your stomach rumbles loudly. "That wasn't there before," you say. Your stomach rumbles again. After looking around, you confirm that no one is around you. [["A taste wouldn't hurt"]] [[Don't touch the soup]] You keep walking, passing the cabin. The wind blows even stronger, and you shiver even more. You try rubbing your arms in the hopes that you could keep yourself warm, but it was getting far too cold. You look around again, and see the cabin is now right in front of you. You do a double take, looking behind you and expecting to see the cabin, only to see nothing but flowers. The wind blows even stronger, practically pushing you towards the cabin. [[Go inside ->Go towards the cabin]] "One head tells the truth, the other lies," the fairy whispers. "So before we can find out where the key is, we need to figure out which one-" "Tells the truth and which one lies," you say. "Okay got it." "A taste wouldn't hurt," you say as you pick up the bowl and take a sip of the soup. It's not hot enough to burn you but it's enough to quickly warm up your insides. [["Hey!"]]You look at the delicious smelling soup with suspicion, and decided to leave it as is while you warm up by the fire. You shut your eyes for a moment, and feel something weigh down on your lap. Opening your eyes, you find the bowl of soup in your lap, seemingly being for you to take a drink. Picking it up, you set the bowl back on the table. [["Hey!" -> Didn't drink]] "Hey!" You hear a small, squeaky, voice yell. You jump up and look around but don't see anyone. "Hey!" You hear it again, but still, you see no one. [["I'm down here dummy!"]]You look down at your feet and see a tiny glowing light hovering above the floor. "Are...you a talking light?" you ask. "What? No!" the light squeaks. It floats closer to your face, and you can see a small human-like figure with wings enveloped in the light. "Can you see me now?" they huffed. [["What are you?"]] [["This is the weirdest dream."]]The dragon on the left replies, "54." The dragon on the right replies, "6." You look at the fairy, who looks back at you dumbfounded. They began to glow a dull yellow. "I...spent years trying to figure out which one was telling the truth and you figure it out like it was nothing," the fairy queen whines. [["Guess you weren't asking the right questions."]]The dragon on the left replies, "The nucleus." The dragon on the right replies, "The mitochondria." You look at the fairy, who looks back at you dumbfounded. They began to glow a dull yellow. [["There's gotta be something I can do to make us even!"]] [["Please don't hurt me!"]]"That's better. Show me the respect I deserve! But you still had my soup." The fairy queen turns red with anger. "Well, there might be something actually. Might be dangerous, might be fun." You shake your head. "Dangerous?" "Well this is only a dream after all?" "I'm not doing anything dangerous. I refuse." [["Wait, what are we even doing?"]]The fairy queen fumes. "I will make this dream world collapse forever if I have to!" They fly closer to your face. "You have no choice!" The fairy queen turned bright red. "You need to be punished!" [["There's gotta be something I can do to make us even!"]] [["Please don't hurt me!"]]The fairy queen's redness fades. "Fine. Have it your way." They disappear, and slowly the cabin distintegrates around you. The chair disappears and you fall on you butt. You get up, and begin to wander around in darkness, looking for another cabin or even another flower field. You realize sooner or later that you will never find either of those things, or anything really, for eternity. End [[Restart]] "I need help to get back to my tower," says the fairy queen, flying out of the cabin. You break into a light jog to keep up as she flies across the flower field. The blustering cold winds have been replaced by a gentle cool breeze. "How do we get back to your tower, exactly?" you ask. "With my key," the fairy queen replies. [["So you just want me to accompany you?" -> follow fairy]] [["I don't see how I'll be of any help." -> follow fairy]]"Well there's a problem," the fairy queen says. "I've lost the key back to my tower." "Where did you lose it?" you ask. "I don't remember. Somewhere in the forest." [["Oh great." -> continue following]] [["So what are we supposed to do?" -> continue following]]"Don't worry. I know someone who does know," the fairy queen replies. You continue to follow the fairy queen. Soon enough, the flower field begins to fade away as a great giant forest appears up ahead. At the edge of the forest, you notice a large bronze statue of a two-headed dragon, seemingly guarding the forest. The fairy queen stops in front of the statue. Its eyes blink open, revealing bright golden eyes. "This statue will tell us where my key is!" [["You're joking."]] [["It's just going to tell us where your key is no strings attached?"]]"Nope!" the fairy queen beams. "It's all knowing." [["Surely there's a catch."]]"No strings attached!" the fairy queen beams. [["Surely there's a catch."]] "Well," says the fairy queen, "the statue is a bit of a puzzle. One head tells the truth, the other lies." "So we need to figure out which one is which, right?" you ask. "Yup. Otherwise we could spend years trying to find my key." [["Delightful."]] You approach the statue. It stares at you with both sets of eyes. "One lies," says one dragon. "One tells truths," says the other. "But which one?" the dragons ask in unison. "What question do you ask of us?" [[What is 3+3?]] [[What is the powerhouse of the cell?]]The fairy queen sighs. "Well, at least now we know which one is telling the truth. Now ask it where my key is." "Why can't you ask it yourself?" you ask. "Because I'm your queen, that's why," they reply, their colour changing into a deep purple and turning their nose up at you. [[You groan and approach the statue again.]]"One lies," says one dragon. "One tells-" the other dragon begins. "Yeah yeah, tells the truth," you reply, cutting it off. "Where is the fairy queen's key?" "In a wolf's den just inside the forest," says the dragon on the left. "At the bottom of the giant lake in the forest," says the dragon on the right. [["Wolf's den it is then!"]] [["The key is in the lake!"]]"You're right. My mistake," you say. [["Let's go to the lake." ->"The key is in the lake!"]] The fairy queen turns dark blue and gives you a strange look but doesn't protest. You wander around the forest, looking for any sign of a wolf's den. After what seems like hours, you stomach rumbles as you continue to search. The fairy queen has grown tired and rests on your shoulder. "I'm pretty sure you picked the wrong choice," the fairy queen says. "Let's look for the lake." [["I'm positive I'm right!"]] [[Fine, I'll look for a lake ->"The key is in the lake!"]] The fairy queen flies in front of your face. "Are you sure? Wasn't the left dragon the liar?" [["Oh yeah."]] [["No, I'm right."]]"I must've dropped it in there while flying around," the fairy queen says. "I hate myself." "Let's go to the lake!" you shout. The fairy queen is already ahead of you, flying past the trees. "Wait for me!" you shout as you run through the trees to try and keep up. You make it to a clearing with a large and serene crystal blue lake. The fairy waits by the surface of the water. "This must be the lake the statue was referring to," the fairy queen says. [["Any ideas on how to get the key?"]] The fairy queen pulls your hair. "Ouch!" you yelp. "Takes us to the lake or will trap you in dream limbo forever." [["It isn't in the lake!"]] [["Alright, alright, I'll go to the lake!" ->"The key is in the lake!"]] The fairy queen groans. "Fine. Have it your way." They disappear, and with them, the forest begins to fade away into darkness. You wander around looking for a forest or a flower field. You realize sooner or later that you will never find anything or anything really, for eternity. End [[Restart]] The fairy queen scratches her chin. "I could turn you into a fish! That'll make finding the key faster!" "Wait what?" Before you could protest, the fairy queen cast a spell, slowly changing you into a fish. You waddle to the water as gills begin to form on your neck. You're already fully in the water by the time the transformation is complete. [["Time to look for that key," you think to yourself.]]You swim around awkwardly, looking at the bottom of the lake for anything that looks remotely like a key. You hope to change back to a human as soon as possible after finding it. What you suspect would've been murky waters with your human eyes looked clear as day with your [[fish eyes. ]] Eventually you notice a sparkle in the sand. You swim towards it, and see a metal key. You try to reach for it, but remember you have fins when you start to roll around in the water. Instead, you grab it with your mouth and pull it out of the sand. You swim back to the fairy as you can to deliver her the key. The fairy queen flies down to the surface of the water when sees you and inspects [[the key up close.]] The fairy queen squeals and glows light blue. "This is it! I can't believe you found it! Now let's go back to the tower!" They begin to fly away, then they promptly stop and turn around. "Oh right. You won't be getting far with my help," they say. The fairy queen casts another spell, turning you back into a soaking wet human, now with a key in your mouth. "Next time, give me a little warning before turning me into a fish," you say. You spit out the key and hold it out to her. [["Here, take it."]] [["I helped you. Can I go home now?"]]The fairy queen shakes her head. "I want you to hold onto until we get to my tower. I'm scared I'll drop it again." You sigh. "How far do we have to go?" "Not far! Follow me!" The fairy queen flies away again, going deeper into the forest. [["Great, more running."]]The fairy queen shakes her head. "Not until we reach my tower. Besides, I need you to hold my key. I don't want to lose it again." You sigh. "How far do we have to go?" "Not far! Follow me!" The fairy queen flies away again, going deeper into the forest. [["Great, more running."]]You follow the fairy queen through the woods. "Hurry, hurry! I want to go home!" they squeak. "I'm going as fast as I can," you pant. "Well, go faster!" [[You sigh and continue running.]]The fairy queen eventually stops at another clearing in the forest. You take a moment to catch your breath as you look at the spindly tower before you. There's a small closed windows near the top of the tower, and a small door at the bottom. "We're here!" the fairy queen squeaked, glowing light blue. "Welcome to my home!" [["It's... lovely."]] [["I think the cabin was better.]]"Thank you!" the fairy queen beams. "I think so too." The fairy queen flies over to the door of the tower, waiting as you approached it with the key in your hand. [["Now, unlock it!"]]"Well," the fairy queen huffs. "I like my tower more. It has all I could ever want." "Whatever you say," you reply. The fairy queen flies over to the door of the tower, waiting as you approached it with the key in your hand. [["Now, unlock it!"]]With the key in your hand, you put the key in the lock and turn it. You hear a click, and slowly open the door. "Hurray!" Come upstairs! You can leave my key there and then be on your way," says the fairy queen as she flies up the stairs. [[You look at the narrow spiral stairs that lead to the top of the tower and sigh.]]You crouch, and slowly make your way up the stairs. By the time you make it to the top, your thighs feel like they're on fire. "There you are!" says the fairy queen when they see you. "I thought you got lost or something." "This tower wasn't meant for someone my size," you reply, still crouching on account of the low ceiling. "You can leave my key on that pillow there," says the fairy queen. You waddle to the pillow she point at and place the key. As you do, you feel something slimy bite your fingers. [["Aaa!"]]You yank back your fingers, and see a frog biting them. [[Shake the frog off -> frog prince]] [[Try to pull it off -> frog prince]]"Be careful!" the fairy queen screams. "That's my husband!" The frog lets go of your fingers and falls onto the ground. "Are you alright, my dearest?" asks the fairy queen, flying over to her husband. He responds by ribbiting. "Oh good, I'm glad." Meanwhile you stare on as the fairy queen plants kisses all over the frog. [[Clear your throat -> continuation]] [[Look away awkwardly -> continuation]]"Right," says the fairy queen, flying to you. "Here is your reward." They hand you a little silver necklace with a single pearl. "Ummm...thank you," you reply, putting on the necklace. "You're welcome!" the fairy queen beamed. "Now, I think it's time you...wake up." They snap their fingers, and you [[wake up.]]You sit up, looking around. You're back in your room. It's still dark out, and nothing seems out of place. Rubbing you neck, you feel something [[strange.]] Turning on a light, you realize you're wearing a silver necklace with a single pearl. You frown and take it off, placing it on your bedside table. "What a strange dream," you mutter. You yawn, then go back to be and drift to a dreamless sleep. End [[Restart]]
