Stryker's Island'' It seems like an eternity now, but it was only a few days ago that Perry White, my boss, asked me to interview Ernest Walker. He was a smalltime thief who was convicted of murdering a woman during a burglary five years ago. He'd soon be paying the ultimate price. "I'm telling you, I wasn't there! I never touched her! The entire time during the interview, his heartbeat was steady, his eyes never wandered. I was beginning to wonder... I met up at the police station with Detective Bowman to ask for Walker's case file. I knew if I looked hard enough I could get something, anything. "There you go, Kent.
