Adriana Williams The year is 1960; the Descent war is in full effect between the land of Banzai and Camp Zion. Citizens of Banzai have been kidnapped and held hostage by Zion soldiers. Kyro, the leader of Camp Zion, has threatened to kill the hostages unless the people of Banzai surrender. Before the war began, the land of Banzai was a beautiful place. The grass was green and filled with colorful wildflowers. The people of Banzai lived in a small friendly village. The villagers grew and harvested their crops and shared them with others. Everyone was kind and helpful and treated like family. [[Meet Daniel.]]"Jodie is my daughter; if anyone should be going after her, it should be me." When word got out that Daniel would travel to Camp Zion, many people went to him to make requests. "Please bring back my son; he is only two years old." "Give your price of credits, and I will pay it to you if you return with my wife." Others would offer to travel with him in hopes of rescuing other hostages. Daniel would refuse all of them. "There are already too many lives at stake right now; I cannot allow any of you to risk your own. I must go alone." Daniel has decided to travel alone, which means he has a choice between: [[Survival kit.]] [[Loaded rifle and three grenades.]]Daniel scrounges the land for soldiers to appoint to his crew to help protect him. The captain walks by his side, his black hat pulled over his blue eyes. He pulls his hat off and lays a hand on Daniel's shoulder, revealing the deep wrinkles on his face. "If I could send Percilla with you, I would; she was a strong, courageous soldier. Now go bring back you guys' daughter." Daniel's wife, Percilla, was a gorgeous, hardworking woman and a caring mother to her daughter, Jodie. Everyone spoke kindly of her and looked up to her. Her eyes could calm storms, and her smile could bring joy to anyone's heart without even trying. When word got out that Daniel would travel to Camp Zion, many people went to him to make requests. Others would offer to travel with him in hopes of rescuing other hostages. Daniel would refuse all of them. "There are already too many lives at stake right now; I cannot allow any of you to risk your own." The captain suggests three of Banzai's finest soldiers. Each man has their specific strengths. The captain of the land of Banzai is a good man whose judgment we can trust. [[Aaron West.]]There is only a 2-minute window to get inside the military camp. If time runs out before he's able to get inside, he'll get caught by Zion soldiers. [[Try to break into the military camp before the time runs out.]] [[Look elsewhere for Jodie.]]Daniel pulls the military camp door, but a sac is placed over his head and punched in the stomach. Rocks scrape against his back as the men drag him to a barricaded military camp, where he's chained to a chair. The men strip Daniel of all of his belongings. Cold air filled the dark room. A sliver of light shines through the entrance into the camp from the outside. Heavy footsteps echo the room. Sweat glides down Daniel's forehead. Suddenly, Kyro snatches the sac off Daniel's head and stands over him with a gun. He threatens to kill Jodie if anyone else tries to come onto his land. Kyro disappears into the darkness. Daniel must break out of the barricaded camp to find and rescue Jodie. [[Bargain with the guards to unchain him.]] [[Break out of the chair using your surroundings.]]Luther stampers onto Camp Zion near a group of Zion soldiers waving his arms. "Hey, over here, you bunch of idiots!" The soldiers run towards him and begin chasing Luther. "Catch me if you can, morons!" Luther ran in the opposite direction of the military camp for Daniel to be clear to get inside. Luther trips and a cloud of dust stirs up as the Zion solidiers surround him. Their brown uniforms cover Luther's body as they take him away. Daniel is now alone for the remainder of the mission. There is only a 2-minute window to get inside the military camp. If time runs out before he's able to get inside, he'll get caught by Zion soldiers. "We can offer you information on where your daughter may be for a reasonable price." [[Pay the price.]] [[Deny their offer.]]Now that Daniel is free from the chair, he must create a distraction to get past the soldiers guarding the barricaded camp. [[Throw a rock to create noise in a different direction.]] [[Used the chain from the chair to strangle the guard posted outside the barricaded camp.]] Daniel ducks behind some barrels of gun powder, retrieves a grenade from his pocket, and pulls the clip out. He quickly looks around and chunks it towards the area where the guards were standing post. BOOM! The guards dropped to their knees and began to crawl away from the entrance. Smoke filled the air. "What was that?" Where did that come from?" Daniel took the opportunity to escape, and once he had escaped the barricaded camp, he began searching for Jodie. Daniel lurks behind one of the dark green vans. Low sobbing echoes around the inside of the van. Daniel opens the van and finds Jodie and two other small children. The children jump and huddle together at the sight of Daniel. Jodie's eyes light up, "Dad!" "Shh." Daniel ducks down as the sound of men talking grow nearer. "The vans are loaded and ready to be transported, boss." The van's driver-side door slams closed. A black cloud puffs out of the van, and the smell of gas fills the air. Any minute now, the driver will take off. [[Strangle him with the rope used to tie up the children.]] [[Try to reason with him.]]Daniel spots a nearby van without a driver or keys. [[Hotwire the van.]] [[Continue traveling by foot.]]Daniel and the children sneak around the base to try and make it back to Banzai safely. Daniel looks back and notices one of the children has fallen behind. [[Go back and find the child.]] [[Continue on without them.]][[Sacrifice yourself.]] [[Fight the soldier.]] Daniel kneels down and wraps his arms around his daughter. A sharp pain shoots through his back and Jodie's scream rings in his ears. The land of Banzai is invaded by Kyro and the people of Camp Zion. Game over. [[Start.]] Daniel is killed, and the children are sent back to Camp Zion. The land of Banzai is invaded by Kyro and the people of Camp Zion. Game over. [[Start.]] Daniel glares at the Zion soldier. "Fight me like a man, without your weapon." The soldier drops his gun and puts his arms in the air. Daniel charges at him and knocks him to the ground. Clouds of dirt stir around the two. Blood spatters as Daniel's fist glides across the soldier's mouth. "Please, have mercy." cried the soldier. Daniel climbs to his feet and spits him. I'll show you the same mercy your leader did to my wife." Daniel picks up the soldier's gun. POW! Blood pools around the soldier's body. Daniel travels back to the land of Banzai to reunite with his daughter, Jodie. The people of Banzai conquer Camp Zion and save the rest of the hostages. The citizens of Banzai honored their fallen heroes. The captain promotes Daniel to general and places him and his daughter in a private military camp. [[Kill them.]] [[Welcome them into the village of Banzai.]]Aaron has the ability to shoot from a mile away and never miss. He was tough and rugged. No one knows where he came from, and he has never told. His dirty blonde hair was long and covered his face most of the time. West always had a toothpick in his mouth. His clothes were always worn out, and he always wore the same beat-up cowboy hat. People would say he gave the coldest looks and would send chills down their backs. [[Michael Pask.]] Michael attacks anything that comes his way with his bare hands. He is known to be very protective and has mild anger problems. His hands were large and calloused from who knows what. Michael was a tall, large man. He made a lot of people feel intimidated when he was around. Michael kept his shaggy black hair tied into a ponytail and his long beard braided. [[Luther Matin.]] Luther always puts others before himself. He has a heart of gold and will do anything to protect his land and people. His eyes were bright blue and almost sparkled when you looked into them. He was always clean-shaved and kept his blonde hair cut short. Luther wore worn-out wranglers, but when he wasn't working, he had on a clean button-up shirt. Everyone would say he was the kindest man they'd ever met. Camp Zion is a filthy wasteland run by an evil leader named Kyro. It was hard to believe anyone could survive on this toxic land or even want to. Dead grass spread across the ground, and the thick cloudy air made it almost unbreathable. Tiny run-down homes dotted the land and were slowly falling apart. Their only food source was trading with other villages far from them. It would sometimes take weeks before the people of Camp Zion would get to eat. This would result in many of their people dying from sickness and starvation. Kyro paid no attention to these situations as long as he was taken care of and had soldiers to fulfill his every order. The thick smoke-filled air made it hard to travel through. The primary source of navigation was the sound of gunshots. The closer he gets to Camp Zion, the stronger the air becomes from the toxic waste on the land. The crew encounters Zion soldiers along the way and must fight them off to continue. Unfortunately, Michael and Aaron get killed, so now it is just Daniel and Luther. [[Go after the child.]] [[Continue on without them.]] Daniel spots a nearby van that is empty and without a driver or keys. He can't risk losing another kid. "If you can find a way to get past the guards surrounding the camp, your daughter may be in one of the vans parked outside. You must hurry because the vans are about to transport the hostages at any moment." [[Throw a rock to create noise in a different direction.]] [[Throw a grenade.]] "So be it, just know that you may never see your daughter again." The soldiers exit the room, taking Daniel's belongings and leaving him alone. Daniel's only option now is to: [[Break out of the chair using your surroundings.]] Daniel crosses wires until the engine roars and then hops in. The children crouch in the back of the van to keep from being seen. Zion soldiers start towards us. [[Drive away nonchalantly.]] [[Run them over.]]Daniel spots Zion soldiers coming their way at a fast rate. [[Fight the approaching soldiers.]] [[Take another route.]]In a panic, Daniel hits the gas and runs over the soldier to prevent him from getting caught. The soldier's body slams against the front of the van and fumbles under the tires. Daniel looks in the rearview mirror and sees the soldier's body limp on the ground behind him. Daniel hears yelling in the distance but keeps driving towards the land of Banzai. The children lay silently in the back of the van but peek up as the van slows down to a stop. "Come on; we must travel the rest of the way by foot to avoid getting caught." Daniel sneaks around the land to try and make it back to Banzai safely. Daniel spots Zion soldiers coming their way. [[Fight the approaching soldiers.]] [[Take another route.]]Daniel couldn't help but look at the remaining people and be disgusted with them. "How could someone follow and live under a horrible leader like Kyro? Every one of you knew what was happening and watched what he did to our people but did nothing about it." Daniel looked down at the children clinging to their mother. He stepped closer to them and then knelt at their level. "The only innocent people here are these children. They know not better and have done no wrong. I can not allow anyone who chose to work and live under Kyro's command on my land or my village." Daniel commanded the soldiers of Banzai to find and bring the remaining children from Camp Zion to the land of Banzai. Once the land was clear of innocent children, the soldiers were instructed to terminate the remaining citizens of Camp Zion. [[Start.]] Daniel knew Percilla would have wanted him to help them and not hold anger towards them. These people were innocent bystanders who had nothing to do with the war or the death of his wife. Daniel welcomed the remaining people of Camp Zion into their village. The remaining soldiers were trained in Banzai's military and given new homes. Years went by, and the Banzai village was rebuilt and eventually spread over onto Camp Zion, now considered Banzai's land. The land gave the people of Banzai and their new members many benefits. A school was built for children they didn't have before and allowed them to develop education. They also made a small chapel for people to attend and fulfill their religion. Homes were built across both lands, and many crops were planted and harvested over the years. The Descent war was a thing of the past for everyone, and they never looked back. [[Start.]] Daniel looked at the other children and remembered the people who came to him before he left on his journey. Many begged him to find and rescue their friends and loved ones. He knows if he takes them all, they may be able to scatter and make a run for it. Daniel must decide if he wants to: [[Only rescue Jodie.]] [[Rescue all the children.]]Daniel walks to the van's driver's side and knocks on the window. "I don't want to fight you, sir. I just want to get back to my homeland peacefully." The driver slowly steps out of the van and looks at Daniel with a smug look. He reaches into his coat without breaking eye contact with Daniel. "You should have never stepped onto this land, son." Before the driver can retrieve his weapon from his coat, Daniel punches him in the face. A small pistol flies out of the driver's coat and slides under the van. Daniel lunges towards the van, but the driver runs at him and knocks him to the ground. "I'm going to kill you and those filthy little varmints." Daniel struggles to break free from the driver's grip but looks up and sees that the pistol is within his reach. He grabs the gun and looks down at the driver. "Hey!" POW! Blood pools around the driver's body. Daniel looked at the other children and remembered the people who came to him before he left on his journey. Many begged him to find and rescue their friends and loved ones. He knows if he takes them all, they may be able to scatter and make a run for it. Daniel must decide if he wants to: [[Only rescue Jodie.]] [[Rescue all the children.]]Daniel and the other children follow as they watch the soldier walk the child toward a military camp. They hide behind a stack of wooden crates labeled artillery. [[Use a gun from one of the crates to shoot the soldier.]] [[Run after the child and fight the soldier.]]The soldier falls to the ground, and the child stands completely still as he looks around. "Hey, kid, come here!" The small child looks at Daniel with a smile and begins running toward him. Once he is back in Daniel's possession, he and the other children continue on their journey back to Banzai. Daniel spots a nearby van without a driver or keys. He can't risk losing another kid. [[Hotwire the van.]] [[Continue traveling by foot.]]"Stay here, out of sight. I'll be right back." Daniel checks the surrounding area before he takes off running toward the child. The sound of his footsteps grows louder and alerts the soldier. Before the soldier can realize what is happening, Daniel jumps up and launches his fist into his face. Blood spatters from his mouth as he falls to the ground. "Run, kid!" The soldier scrambles to his feet but is knocked down again by Daniel. The small child takes a few steps back but remains in Daniel's sight. "Go, get out of here." Daniel tries to gesture in the direction he wants him to go, but he doesn't move. The soldier grabs Daniel's arm, but Daniel swings him onto the ground and snaps his neck. Daniel looks at the child through the stirred-up dust. "You're a great listener, kid." The child smiles as Daniel takes his hand and walks back to the other children. Once he and the children are all safely back together, they continue their journey back to Banzai. Daniel spots a nearby van without a driver or keys. [[Hotwire the van.]] [[Continue traveling by foot.]]Daniel is a 28-year-old man drafted into the war between Banzai and Camp Zion. Daniel has a 5-year-old daughter, Jodie. Cloth tents line the sandy dunes with sleeping soldiers waiting to take action against Camp Zion. Daniel wakes up in his tent to the sound of gunshots and yelling. He looks around and finds that his daughter is missing. After already losing his wife to Camp Zion, he immediately goes to his captain. "Sir, my daughter is missing, and I have reason to believe Kyro has kidnaped her."
