Sugarcane

You approach one of the large test tubes containing a life-less female body. The girl is covered in intricate wires and floats unconscious in the unfamiliar liquid. Her skin is snow white and veiny, appearing almost lifeless, matching her stringy long hair. Her ghostly eyes sit only half opened, although they appear to be lacking iris’ and pupils. Her body is bruised and cut and there is a number engraved into her forehead. Is she a test subject?\n\nThe sight send chills down your spine, but as you start to become calmer you continue to survey your surroundings. There are a number of buttons on the base of the Test Tube with a list of different options. One button, titled 'RELEASE', catches your attention. She instantly makes eye contact with you, her soulless stare piercing through your eyes. You stand still, frozen in shock, staring straight back at her glare. Suddenly her eyes widen monsterously as she begins to regenarate energy. She pounces on you in seconds and digs her knife-like teeth into your stomach, instantly ripping through your skin. In minutes, you are gorged by the mechanically monster.\n\n[img[testsubjectfallen.jpg]]

The Room\n\nSlowly, you come to conciousness. Opening your heavy, dreary eyes to find yourself in a strange room that you do not recognize. You look around and survey the bare and rustic enviroment around you. Dirt and grime is burried between the floor tiles and the wallpaper is torn and sodden. You raise your body off of the mattress clasping your head in your hands. You try to remember how you got here but are greeted by a splitting headache each time. You sense something is wrong with the door. You decide it is best to step away from it...\n\nMoments later, the door clicks and bursts open. Entering, a group of unfamilar, otherworldly creatures. Their eyes are dark and menancing and they instantly grasp you with their long, jagged claws. You try to struggle out of their hold, but your weakened body cannot fight against them. Pulling out a strange, gun-like object, they shoot a strange purple substance into your skin. You quickly collapse in their scaly arms, falling unconcious.\n\n[[Continue..|You are the Test Subject]]

The Laboratory\n\nLooking for an escape route, you discover a promising open fire escape at the end of the hallway. You decide to see what is down there in search of a way out. In your haste to find a way out, you jump down the stairs which leads you to another door. The door is locked, although you try the key that you found earlier and it opens smoothly. \n\nAstonished by the sights you are seeing in front of you, you wander into what seems to be a Laboratory. There are dozens of gigantic tubes spotted around the room, their contents are so distrubing it makes you feel nauseous and causes you to vomit.\n\n[[Clean up the mess you made|Clean Up]]\n\n[[The sights ahead of you are too startling to ignore, you must investigate immediately\n|Floating Girl]]\n\n\n

As you look through the files, lightly scanning them you notice your name written in one of the books. On the file, you are labeled as ‘PATIENT 44506’ with ‘Full Transplant’ written next to your name. Confusing. Additonally, you find drawings and labels for several procedures. They show the anatomy of a human and a strange, otherworldy looking creature with arrows linking them together. The labels are mostly scientific and are not understandable.\nAs you peer further into the drawers you discover a high-tech gun. The make of the gun is unfamiliar, you've never seen anything like it before. You decide to bring it with you for protection. \n\n<<set $Gun += 1>>\n\n[[Investigate Computers]]

The Office\n\nAs you head right down the corridor, you are intrigued by a particular door as it is the only one that has a intact window, complete with blinds. As you enter you realise it is somebody's office which has obviously been recently used. It seemed to be the cleanest room in the building with no debris littering the floor, even the filing cabinets were organised neatly. In curiosity you decide to look through. Each file seems to be just regular paperwork, mostly written in scientific terms which are hard to understand. Each piece of paper is labelled with a company's name, which you assume are the owners of the building. Perhaps they are why you are here? \nThere are also strange computer screens dotted around the room, some displaying images while others remain blank. You walk over to the mysterious alien spacecraft. The tall metal door is wide open, inviting you inward. Behind you, the stairway door swings open and there stands the Professor with a gun. She points it straight at your head, staring into your eyes with no fear or remorse. As though she has no concious. You begin to shiver with fright, tears well up in your eyes. Laboratory 344

Getting up off the bed, you wander over to the tall door on the other side of the room. Your legs feel weak and sore, but you power on. Matching the rest of the room, its once pristine white paint is now discoloured and appears to be peeling away, displaying the rusty wood underneath. It towers over you unsettlingly. \n\n[[Try to open the door|Try Door]]\n\n[[Take a step back|Step Back]]

You reach out to grab the doorknob, yet as soon as your finger merely grazes it, sirens begin to blare. You start to panic and your immediate reaction is to try to break your way out of the room. Instantly, you start throwing kicks and punches as the door ahead of you. It's useless. Beneath its wooden exterior lays a much stronger material. Are people trying to keep you in here?\n\nYour eyes begin to dart around the room as you try to think of something else you can do to escape. Your heart drops as your eyes sink to the floor, a green gas-like substance has begun to seep slowly through the cracks of the door. You begin to feel faint and your legs become wobbly as you lose control. Your eyes droop, closing before you collapse on the cold floor. \n\n[[Continue..|You are the Test Subject]]

Instantly you shoot off in a panic, throwing yourself off of the building in fear. Your heart drops as you realise where you leaped from. Unfortunately, you miscalculated your jump and did not realise how high up you were. Tears fill your eyes as you take in the mistake you have made.\n\nYou fall to your death.

Looking up at the computers, you realise that the screens display live camera recordings. You are being watched on CCTV, and you are not the only one. There are a few dozen holding rooms like the one you woke up in with what appears to be people lying in the beds. Your heart starts racing as you search for an exit. The Roof\n\nHastily you head towards the roof. Once you arrive you are greated by a relieving, yet chilling, cold wind. The roof is desolate and clearly unkept. A short wall stretches across the perimiter of the roof, graffiti pasted all over it. There is also a strange shuttle-like object, prehaps an abandoned alien space craft. There are some kind of glowing lights in the far distance coming from buildings over the trees. \n\n[[Investigate the Shuttle|Look at Object]]

You begin to investigate the other tubes, each looking fairly similar to one another. As you are examining one of the tubes, you notice a flickering light appear in its reflection, following by clanking footsteps. Instantly you leap to cover in fear. Peering over a desk, you observe, what appears to be, an experimental sciencetist with stringy violet locks. She walks over to some of the papers laying on the desk and proceeds to write on them. Anxiously you shift over and trip, making a quiet thud although drawing her attention to you. \n\n\n[[Throw Something]]

You clean up your reaction to the distrubing sights until you can almost make out your reflection on the tiled floor. You proceed to look around investigating each test tube. You are drawn in to one particular tube containing what looked like a small girl. \n\n[[Continue...|Floating Girl]]\n

You decide that the most promising option would be to press the ‘RELEASE’ button on the Tube, so you proceed. A loud whooshing noise blares from the tube as the liquid is sucked away through a separate pipe. The Tube loses its eeiry glow and the wires which were once attached are now torn away. The previously floating girl droops to the floor as the glasses that once surrounded her winds upwards. She lays there, motionless, sprawled out over pieces of broken glass on the floor for a few moments before she begins to quiver. Slowly, she begins to lift her mechanical limbs.\n\n\n[[Continue\n|Test Subject End]]\n

Her stare was sharp and unkind, could she be the one keeping you here? In fear, you launch a nearby test tube at her, sending it flying towards her face, in hopes that it would give you time to run. In miliseconds, her eyes shift turning a deep dark shade of black as her twitching body morphs into something otherwordly. Her once elgent pose is now transformed into a animal like stance. She lets out a ferocious scream, revealing her needle-pointed teeth, before leaping towards you. She grabs you with her monstorus claws, sinking them into your skin enducing excruciating pain. You scream as you look helplessy into her abyss-like eyes before she devours you whole.\n\n[img[testtubes.jpg]]

Ah! You are intrigued by the mysterious vase on the other side of the room. You stumble over and peer inside into its dark depths. For some strange reason the inside of the Vase is almost pitch black, so as you cannot see whats inside, you decide you should try to feel. You reach down into the darkness, although find nothing. You continue until you can reach the bottom. You feel a sharp metallic object and pull it out. It is a small key with a chain. \n\nYou try the key in the doorknob and it instantly unlocks, springing wide open. You shoot the Professor with the gun you found earlier. A glowing bullet flies towards her, punching her chest open. Multi-coloured purple and blue rays seap out of the gun shot wound surrounding her body. She collapses to the floor, morphing in and out of human and alien form. \n\nAfter a few moments she lays still, remaining motionless in her human state. She looks up at you in fear, “You just destroyed it, the alien parasite!" She can barely speak any words as she is so weak. "Please, we need to get out of here quick, I know the way out, I can help us escape." You go with your gut and decide to trust her. You run over and help her up, holding her up on the weight of your shoulder. She takes you through the hospital quickly, leading you outside allowing you both to find your way to safety.\n\n[img[roof.jpg]]

You wake up, once again in an unfamilar enviroment. Your eyes widen as you slowly begin to realise where you are. There are several large tubes positioned in different places around the room, intricate wires connecting them to the power system. You seem to be in an experimental laboratory. \n\nReasling you are stood up straight, you attempt to move your legs around but do not succeed. You can hear your heartbeat pounding in your ears as it becomes increasingly louder as you realise that you are trapped and encased inside of a tube. \n\nWires are wrapped around your arms and legs, all of them connected to different parts of your body, linking them to the machine you are inside of. As you look below, you realise half of your legs are missing along with several other parts. They have been modified and replaced by mechanics.\n\n[img[gif3.gif]]
