In the land of Witonia, everyone is inherently magical. Magic is in their blood. Whether they use it for good or for evil is up to them. Of course, there will always be a few people who are not born with this magic in their blood. But they can live long and happy lives, though they will always be looked at as different. That is where our main character, Blossom, comes in. [[Click to play Enchanted by Monica Choquette]]Blossom looks down at the beautiful bracelet on her wrist. It is gold with multiple lovely gems on it, each a different color. It has a slight glow to it. She walks into her room, changes into a nightgown, and prepares for bed. She must decide whether to keep her bracelet on while she sleeps. She doesn't expect to do magic, but one never knows if something were to happen in the middle of the night. [[Keep the bracelet on]] [[Take the bracelet off and set it on the nightstand]]Blossom decides to keep it on. She crawls into bed, puts out the candle illuminating her room, and goes to sleep. [[Zzzzz...]]Blossom suddenly opens her eyes. She felt what she thinks were fingers touching her wrist, her arm, maybe even her cheek. She feels wind against her face, as if someone has just run past. She reaches for her wrist and realizes the bracelet isn't there. [[Jump out of bed and look for it]] [[Rush to her parents' bedroom]]Blossom shoots out of bed and begins frantically grabbing her sheets and shaking them, searching for the bracelet. She tosses pillows around, blankets end up on the floor, but still no sign of the bracelet. [[Rush to her parents' bedroom]] Blossom unlatches the bracelet and sets it on her nightstand. She crawls into bed, puts out the candle on her nightstand, and goes to sleep. [[Zzzz...]]Blossom runs out of her room and down the hall, sliding to a stop in front of her parents' room. She bangs on the door a few times. [[Walk inside]]In the morning, Blossom wakes up. She yawns, sits up, and stretches. She reaches over to her nightstand to grab her bracelet, but doesn't immediately feel it. She looks over and sees that it's gone. [[Rush to her parents' bedroom]] Blossom slams the door open. Her parents are sitting in bed, feeling a combination of confused and panicked, while also being half-awake. "Blossom?" her dad asks. "What is it, sweetie?" her mom asks. [["My bracelet is gone."]]That wakes them up. "What do you mean, it's gone?" [["I felt someone take it. They slid it off when I was sleeping. By the time I realized, it was too late."]] [["It was on my nightstand when I went to sleep. But when I woke up, it was gone."]]Her mom sighs. "I knew this might happen." "Honey..." "When you made her that bracelet, I warned you that this might happen," she snapped. [["What do you mean?"]]"This is why we told you to never take it off," her mom said. "Not only can it not be good to your body -- to just give and take away your magic -- but someone could easily swoop in and steal it without you even realizing it." "I was always afraid this would happen..." her mom said. [["What do you mean?"]]"Blossom," her dad said, "your bracelet was made after years of hardwork. Not only did I use my own magic, but several other people contributed as well, including your mother." Her mom nodded. "It is a very powerful bracelet, but we wanted you to have a fair chance at life, so we made it," he said. "We were aware of the consequences, aware that someone might steal it." "Someone very bad took it," her mom said. "They're probably going to do horrible things with that bracelet. It's more powerful than you realize, than you've had a chance to learn." [["Were you ever going to tell me it was so powerful?"]] [[Who do you think took it?"]]"When you were older and had more control over your magic," her dad said. "If we told you sooner, you might have tried to do too much too soon," her mom said. "We didn't want you to give up on magic too quickly, and we didn't want you to hurt yourself trying." [["How do we get it back?"]] [["Well, I'm going to go get it."]] "I suppose it could be a number of people," her dad said. "But we know that there are dark creatures and evil people in the Red Forest and beyond that," her mom said. "People that would love to get that bracelet and do God-knows-what with it." [["How do we get it back?"]] [["Well, I'm going to go get it."]]"We don't." [["What?"]]"Like hell you are," her mom said. "Honey..." "I am not letting Blossom go out into the Red Forest by herself, especially without magic." [["Do you not believe in me?"]] [["I won't be by myself."]]"It's not that we don't believe in you," her dad said, "it's that this would be dangerous for anyone who had magic, and you don't even have that." "You going by yourself is a death wish," her mom said, grimly. [["I'll bring Esme and Xantha."]]"Well, your father and I aren't going out into the forest," her mom said. "Who would you be bringing?" her dad asked, calmly. [["I'll bring Esme and Xantha."]]"It's too dangerous to go get it," her mom said. "I'm not as powerful as I used to be," her dad said, "and you know your mom doesn't fight." "And you don't have magic, you can't go out there," her mom said. [["Well, I'm going to go get it."]]"You will do -- " "Go," her dad interrupted. Her mom glared at him. He continued, "You can bring your friends. I believe the 3 of you are more powerful than you might think. But if you ever feel like it's too much or the danger is too great, come back home. Do you understand?" [["Yes, I understand."]]He nodded. "Good. Now go find your friends. And stay safe." [[Leave the room and go outside.]]Blossom goes outside and quickly rounds up her two best friends, Esme and Xantha. Esme agrees immediately, while Xantha takes some convincing, but soon the three of them are embarking on their quest. [[Question the neighbors.]] [[Go to the Red Forest.]]"We should probably see if anyone saw anything last night," Esme suggests. "Knowing what the person we're searching for looks like will probably help." [[Go to Miss Gloria's house]] [[Go to Paxton's house]] [[Go to Mr. Ballard's house]]Blossom, Esme, and Xantha begin their journey. They walk to the edge of the Red Forest then stop. "Are you sure we should do this?" Xantha asks. "You're just scared," Esme teases. [["Yes, let's do it. I believe in us."]] [["No, not yet. I think we're unprepared, we should probably get some more info before we leave."]]Miss Gloria's house is big and black and covered in vines. There are several big oak trees around it, as well as several spots in the roof that have had to be patched up from limbs falling on it. The house is so big because Miss Gloria has a lot of kids. It seems like the number of them is changing everyday. Last week, Blossom could've sworn she heard that she had 10 kids, but just the other day she heard 28. It was a mystery. The girls walk up to the front door. [[Knock, knock]]Paxton is a young man, in his early 20s. He has a small house and he built it all on his own. He says that one day he's going to leave Witonia and see where the wind take him, but he's been saying that for a while now. [[Knock, knock, knock]]Blossom had never been to Mr. Ballard's house. It was small and rickety and seemed like it was falling apart. She was surprised anyone lived there. [[Knock on the door]]"Yeah, you're probably right," Xantha says. "Ugh fine, I guess we can go back," Esme says. [[Question the neighbors.]]"Are you sure we have enough info?" Esme asks. [[You have enough information, it's time to go to the Red Forest]]The door swings open and there stands Miss Gloria. She looks relieved when she sees them, especially Blossom. "Oh, girls!" she exclaims. "I'm so glad to see you." [["Why is that?"]]Miss Gloria frowns. "I saw what went into your room last night, Blossom." [["You did? What was it? What did you see?]] [["And you didn't do anything to stop it?"]]"I don't know, but I do know it wasn't human," she said. "It was dark, almost like a shadow. And I think it had something..." [[My bracelet!]]"Excuse me, but you will not talk to me that way," Miss Gloria snapped. "I am an old woman, what did you want me to do? I can't do magic like I used to. It could have killed me." She shuts the door, ending the conversation. [[Go to Paxton's house]] [[Go to Mr. Ballard's house]] [[You have enough information, it's time to go to the Red Forest]]"Yes! I think it was a bracelet," Miss Gloria exclaimed. "It was gold." [["Did you see which way it went?"]]"I believe it headed east," she said, nodding. "It went into the Red Forest." She frowned. "If you girls are going after it, you better be safe." [[Thank Miss Gloria]]The door shuts, and the girls wonder what to do next. [[You have enough information, it's time to go to the Red Forest]] [[Go to Paxton's house]] [[Go to Mr. Ballard's house]]The trio begin making their way to the Red Forest. They pass a homemade wooden sign that says "BEWARE: ENTER AT OWN RISK". Now at the edge of the forest, they must decide which way to go. [[North]] [[East]] [[South]] [[West]]No one answers. [[Knock again]] [[No one's home...?]]"Go away!" a voice inside shouts. The door slams open and a bolt of light hits Esme in the arm. "Ow!" she shrieks. Mr. Ballard probably doesn't have information for them. [[Go to Paxton's house]] [[Go to Miss Gloria's house]] [[You have enough information, it's time to go to the Red Forest]] Guess they need to move on. [[Go to Paxton's house]] [[Go to Miss Gloria's house]] [[You have enough information, it's time to go to the Red Forest]]The door opens gently and there stands Paxton. "Well, they there!" he says. "What can I do for the three of you?" [["Someone stole my bracelet last night. We were wondering if you saw anything?"]]He thinks it over for a moment, then his face darkens. "Oh. That was your bedroom it came out of." [["What? What did you see?"]] [["You have to tell us more than that!"]]"I... I'm not sure. It was almost like a monster, but it human-like. Dark and misty, almost." [["Do you know where it went?"]] "Hey, don't talk to me like that." Paxton frowns. "I don't have to tell you anything." He slams the door shut. "Now what?" Xantha asks. [[Go to Miss Gloria's house]] [[Go to Mr. Ballard's house]] [[You have enough information, it's time to go to the Red Forest]]"It went east," Paxton says. "That's all I really know, girls, I'm sorry." He shuts the door. "Well, now what?" Xantha asks. [[Go to Mr. Ballard's house]] [[Go to Miss Gloria's house]] [[You have enough information, it's time to go to the Red Forest]]The girls decide to head north. "Are we sure this is the right way?" Xantha asks, skeptically. "We don't have any reason to believe it isn't," Blossom replies. As they venture further and further into the forest, it gets darker and darker. You can't even see your own hand in front of your face. Something brushes against Blossom's hand. She rolls her eyes. "Nice try, Xantha, but you're not scaring me," she says. Suddenly, something grabs her hand and pulls her down. BLOSSOM DOES NOT RETRIEVE HER BRACELET. GAME OVERThe girls decide to head east. It doesn't take long for them to come to a fork in their path. Which way should they go? [[Left]] [[Right]]The girls decide to head south. "You know, I don't think I've ever gone this way before," Esme muses. "Yeah, you don't hear much about the south side of the Forest," Xantha adds. "That must mean it's safe, right?" Blossom turns to look at her friends, but gasps. Behind them is a bear-lion, but this one is about twice the size of a normal one. Before she can find any words, the animalr raises its paw -- claws out -- and slices through Esme. She screams and falls to her knees. Xantha grabs Blossom's hands, and the two of them begin running. Then Blossom feels the bear-lion's claws. BLOSSOM DID NOT RETRIVE HER BRACELET. GAME OVERThe girls decide to head west. "This seems dangerous," Xantha says. "Why?" Esme asks. "My brother said someone from his school died after going to the west side of the Forest," Xantha replied. "And you're just now telling us?" Blossom asks. Before Xantha can say anything, the light around them begins getting really bright. They have to squint, and soon, they have to just shut their eyes. Then the burning starts. BLOSSOM DID NOT RETRIEVE HER BRACELET. GAME OVERThe girls go left. They soon come up on a bridge, and standing right in their path is a troll. "Ugh, I thought trolls weren't real," Xantha groans. "Ah, but we are!" The troll says. "You must defeat me to pass." Who will do the first spell? [[Xantha will do her Shutter Shock spell]] [[Esme will do her Dragon's Breath spell]]The girls go right. As they go deeper into the forest, they can see smoke coming from nearby. Once they arrive at the source -- a fire -- they discover a man sitting next to it. He hears footsteps and turns to look at them. "What are you three doing out here all alone?" he asks. "It's dangerous in the Forest for young girls." "My friend lost something and we're trying to get it back," Esme replies. He frowns. "A bracelet?" Blossom nods. "Yes. Have you seen it?" "He -- it -- whatever it is, it went east," he said. "You're going the right way. Just keep going straight and you should find him." "Thank you." [[Continue]]The troll laughs as Xantha puts her hand out in front her, fingers spread apart. A ghostly butterfly emerges from her fingers. "Really?" the troll asks, "Is that all you got?" The butterfly floats toward him, and he just grins as it flies through him. Suddenly, he starts convulsing, and you can see the electricity emanating from him. After a minute, the butterfly evaporates, and the troll collapses to the ground. Xantha smiles. "We win." [[They cross the bridge]]The troll shakes his head in disappointment as Esme brings her hands together. "What are you going to do?" he asks. "Pray me away?" A ghostly dragon begins emerging from behind Esme. It is three times the size of her. The troll gulps as it growls at him. The dragon inhales deeply, and when he exhales, he shoots fire from his mouth. Once the fire is gone and the dragon disappears, all that is left is a pile of ash. "Great job, Esme!" Blossom exclaims. [[They cross the bridge]]"Well, that didn't take long," Blossom points out. "Do you think we'll have to fight anything or anyone else?" Xantha asks. "We're in the Red Forest, which is super dangerous," Esme points out. "I bet we will." Sure enough, they soon approach a man. He is wearing what appears to be an all-black suit, his hair is slicked back, and he has a smirk on his face. He doesn't look like he belongs in the middle of the Red Forest. "Speak of danger and it will appear..." Blossom mumbles. "I've been waiting for you," the man says. He reaches his hand out, and a bolt of light shoots toward Blossom, who ducks and rolls away, just narrowly missing it. Esme and Xantha prepare to fight. [[Xantha will do her Flower Power spell]] [[Esme will do her Great Strength spell]]As they keep going, the girls come up on another fire. It's different this time, though. The fire coming from it is white, not black. "I've never seen white smoke before," Xantha says. Esme looks at Blossom. "Do you think it's who we're looking for?" There's suddenly a burst of purple light next to the fire. "I think it is." Blossom nods. [[Walk toward the fire]]They approach the white smoke. As the get closer, they see that the fire is also white, and there isn't any wood or anything burning. Next to the fire is who they are looking for. He isn't really a man, more like a shadow or silhouette. He looks like he is made of smoke. Like a ghost, but not transparent. But he has a face, and the girls can clearly see it. It isn't looking at them, but at something in his hand -- Blossom's bracelet. [["I knew you'd get here sooner or later," he says.]]Xantha sticks her arm out, and the man begins laughing when nothing happens. After a moment, though, vines begin coming out of the ground around him, twisting around his legs, and slowly, the rest of his body. "Hey!" he shouts. Once it's reached his arms, he tries moving them, trying to break through the vines, but he is unable to. Just as Xantha begins forming her hand into a fist, the man's hands begin glowing, and suddenly, light bursts through the vines, breaking Xantha's spell. She gasps and steps back. Blossom looks at Esme, who nods. [[Esme will do her Great Strength spell]]Esme stretches her arms out, almost like she is looking for a hug. The man smirks, waiting to see what she will do. Suddenly, a large ogre-like creature appears next to Esme. She simply points at the man, and the ogre trods toward him. The man tries shooting his light bolt at him, but the ogre simply deflects them. He picks the man up and throws him -- hard -- against a tree. The man slumps to the ground. Not giving him a chance to get up, the ogre picks him up by his leg, throwing him into another tree. This time, the tree falls over. "You know what to do," Esme says to the ogre, who nods. [[The girls run past him]]"As long as he is doing that, I don't know if I can do another spell," Esme says. "It's okay, I've got this," Xantha says. Suddenly, they approach another man. This one is angry. "What have you done to my brother?" he shouts. He shoots the same kind of light bolts as the last man, this time narrowly missing Xantha. She knows it's up to her. Which spell will Xantha do? [[Stars spell]] [[Light and Airy spell]]Xantha forms her hands into fists, then suddenly opens them. Stars appear around her, resembling the night sky. "Oh, look at the pretty stars," the man mocks her. She shoves her arms forward, ahead of her, and the stars starting shooting themselves at the man, one by one. Like daggers. The first few hit him, and he is bleeding where they once were. He swings his arms, causing the stars to shoot back towards the girls. They manage to avoid them. "Is that all you got, sweetie?" Xantha glares at him. [[Light and Airy spell]]Xantha claps her hands together, blows into them, then quickly clasps them shut. "Are you hoping that will bring you luck?" the man jokes. There is a slight breeze. Xantha's hair blows around her as the air picks up. It gets quicker and quicker until there is suddenly a tornado. "What the...?" the man mumbles. The tornado goes straight toward the man, who is too confused to run away in time. It picks up the man, blowing him around, and the tornado goes the opposite direction of them. "I didn't know you could do that!" Blossom exclaims. Xantha blushes. "I've been working on it." [[They run away]]The trio are now very deep into the forest. There is no longer a path to follow, and they are actively avoiding walking into trees. "Do you think we'll find him?" Blossom asks, glumly. "Don't give up now," Esme says. "I'm sure we'll find him soon." And sure enough, the girls see smoke up ahead, but it's not like any they've ever seen before -- it's white. "That must be him," Xantha exclaims. [[Walk toward the fire]]"How did you know we were here?" Blossom asks. "Because I knew you would follow me," he replies. "I know what I have, and I know how valuable it is. If you want it, you'll have to take it out of my cold, dead hands." Blossom looks at Xantha, then at Esme, and the three of them nod. It's time for magic. [[Xantha's Flower Power spell]] [[Esme's Great Strength spell]]Xantha sticks her arm out, and the man is curious to see what will happen. After a moment, though, vines beging coming out of the ground around him. They attempt to wrap and tangle around him, but they merely fall to the ground. He chuckles. "I am not a mere man, those vines will not touch me. However..." He looks down at the vines, and they stiffen, then go straight toward Xantha. They wrap around her, and she falls to the ground, tied up in vines. "Esme..." Blossom says. She nods. [[Esme's Great Strength spell]] [[Esme's Dragon's Breath spell]]Esme stretches her arms out, almost like she is looking for a hug. Suddenly, a large ogre-like creature appears next to Esme. She doesn't even point, simply looks at the ogre and nods. He walks toward the man, who is in a fighting stance. Right as the ogre is prepared to grab him, the man disappears. Then, the ogre turns black and his eyes turn red. It looks toward the girls, who all gasp. It lumbers toward the girls. It picks Xantha up and throws her at Esme, and the two of them collapse to the ground. Then it looks at Blossom, grinning. She tries running away, but it picks her up, and she screams when she realizes that it is heading toward the fire. GAME OVEREsme brings her hands together. A ghostly dragon begins emerging from behind her. It is three times the size of her. It inhales deeply, and when he exhales, he shoots fire form his mouth. Once he has finished, the man is still standing. However, the white fire is now out. The man looks panicked. [[Untie Xantha]] [[Try another spell]]Esme looks at Blossom, who nods. Esme blinks, and the dragon breathes fire again. Blossom runs toward Xantha, and begins ripping the vines off of her. Soon, there are so few that Xantha can bust through them. Once the dragon has vanished, the three of them are all standing together again. [[Esme and Xantha will do a spell together]]Esme frantically tries thinking of another spell. Suddenly, she puts her arms behind her back, and soon she has a ghostly raven flying to her and sitting on her shoulder. She looks at the bird, then over at the man. It hops off her shoulder and flies over to him. He watches in amusement. The raven wraps its talons around the bracelet in his hand, but the grips it tighter. Just as the birds eyes start glowing, the man simply blows on it. It evaporates into thin air. He looks at the girls. "I would say 'nice try', but it really wasn't." He shakes his head. He looks over at the fire, and the flames suddenly become bigger. They keep getting bigger and bigger until they have engulfed everything. And everyone. GAME OVERXantha reaches her hand out, and Esme takes it. The man watches in amusement as he waits for something to happen. Just as they begin lifting their arms, he feels something. He looks down and sees Blossom, who is grabbing the bracelet. She snatches it out of his hand and runs away. She puts it on, and she can feel the magic coming back to her. It feels like taking a sip of wate when you're really thirsty, or walking into a cool room after being in the sun all day. It feels right. It feels perfect. She runs over and grabs Esme's other hand. The three of them start glowing, and for the first time since meeting him, the man looks scared. The girls soon begin floating, hovering above the man. Blossom and Xantha point their free hands at him, and a ball of light -- similar to the magic he uses -- appears. Then, it hits him. [[The girls float back to the ground]]They are no longer glowing, and they let go of each other's hands. The man is gone. He disintegrated and is no longer going to bother them. "Blossom!" "You got your bracelet back!" She smiles. "I did." [[Blossom hugs Xantha and Esme]]CONGRATULATIONS! BLOSSOM HAS RETRIEVED HER BRACELET. YOU WON THE GAME.
