You're sitiing on a brown leather chair, uncomfortable, you never thought this day would arrive so fast.
[[Check the time]]
[[Look out the window]]You shake your wrist on a mechanical move and adjust the watch with your right hand, bringing it right in front of your eyes.
15:37.
She was late.
It was a gift from your brother.
//"Real gold, see that? I hope you like it because I'm never buying you something so expensive again!"// - He would laugh.
And he sure as hell never did. May he rest in peace.
15:38
The door behind you opens.
[[Look back]]
[[Do nothing]]
It's a sunny day, unseanonably warm.
You watch a couple walking a dog in the small park on the other side of the street, not a sign of worry on their faces, they seem too young for that.
The door behind you opens.
[[Look back]]
[[Do nothing]]"Oh Hello there, sorry to keep you waiting."
She smiles, apologetic.
[[Stand up to greet her]]
[[Remain seated]]You hear the door closing, and two seconds later there is a presence right by your side.
//"Good afternoon, Mr. $playername"//
[[Stand up to greet her]]
[[Remain seated]]You stand up and shake her hand.
She has a firm grip and a decisive look.
"Should we start?"
She moves to the other side of the desk and sits on a big and fancy brown leather chair, probably older than you.
[[Yes, of course]]

"Ok, so we already agreed on the draft, now we just need to go through the list to confirm the beneficiaries."
[[Nod affirmatively]]
[[I don't think I'm ready for this]]You greet her, awkwardly.
"Should we start?"
She moves to the other side of the desk and sits on a big and fancy brown leather chair, probably older than you.
[[Yes, of course]]
"Ok, so let's start with the elephant in the room: the house. It's 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 3 thousand squarefeed, with the whole property being about 3 acres in total. The house was built in 1986 and has been appreaised in $325,000. Who's taking it?"
//Would any of them want to live in a small town in Wyoming?
It has a nice view of the mounstains, You're sure David would appreciate that.
Martin hates the cold, but he doesn't own a house yet, maybe by the time you...
Liane has a daughter and says she wants a boy, it would be a good place for your grandchildren to grow, but you're not sure she would adapt after so many years living in New York.
Then again, they can always sell the house.//
[[Can't I just leave to them all?]]
[[To my daughter, Liane]]
[[To my son, Martin]]
[[To my friend, David]]
[[To charity]]"What do you mean?"
She looks at you, puzzled.
You stand up, turn around, and walk out of the office.
As you leave the building, the skies are gray, you feel a cold drop of water falling on your forehead.
It seemed so simple, just a piece of paper.
But you're not ready, not yet.
[[Walk->end]]//"You certainly can. But think about the problems it might cause, specially being a house, they will have to sell the house and divide the shares, or one will have to buy from the others."//
She stares at you for a moment.
//"When you called me you sayd you did not want to divide everything equaly, since we're doing this I advise you to choose a single beneficiary for every item."/

//What a bunch of crap, why did you accumulate all this?
Well, none of them are musicians, and you're pretty sure Martin and Liane are sour from all those years you forced them to take music lessons.
Any of them would probably sell this.//

A few phone calls and two weeks later, here you are, assigning all your property and belongings accumulated throughout your life to someone that will most likely just sell it.

[[Yes, I'm fine]]
[[Yes, let's maybe try another day. ->I don't think I'm ready for this]]
"Right, let me just check this here. Ok. Final item, a small locked chest made of wood and iron, weighting around twelve kilograms. Since you decided not to disclose the contents, the item has been appraised on it's own value, which ammounts to $7.50"
She looks up to you, waiting for a confirmation about this weird item.
[[No problem]]"Ok, so who is getting the small locked chest?"
This was more of a personal item, or rather a collection of them, not much sense in giving it to charity since the value was more from a sentimental nature.
Liane was the oldest from your children, she already had a kid of her own, she would probably understand the value of this a bit better.
Martin, on the other hand, always looked up to you, maybe he would really appreciate receiving this, as well as learning more about some aspects of your past.
David, well, all this stuff was from a time before he entered your life, for him to receive this, it would be like getting to know a complete different side of you, a totally different person.
