You appeal to the Priestess' compassionate nature and she apologises for not offering the full amount outright. She tells you she's more than happy to pay you the full amount and offers to let you spend the night at the temple upon your return.\n\nContented, you set out to [[Gather the herbs.]]
[There is a portrait beneath this notice, a little girl with black shoulder-length hair and a birthmark on her left cheek]\nArlya. 11 Summers old. Reward for any information given.\n\n[[Find the girl.]]\n\nChoose something else from the [[Noticeboard.]]
You tell the priestess that she should keep some of her coin, you're just glad to be of help and 100 gold pieces will more than suffice. She cannot thank you enough and tells you that you will be more than welcome to stay the night when you return.\n\nYou depart to [[Gather the herbs.]]
Unhappy with the amount of coin on offer you tell the priestess;\n\nThough you [[understand]] that she no longer needs all of the herbs, you chose her notice only because of the amount of gold promised.\n\nYou have been travelling for quite some time and are in need of as much coin as possible to [[help]] you get to the end of your journey.\n\nYou [[expect]] the full amount, you can hardly be blamed for the notice being wrong.
You inform the priestess that you would not expect the full amount for a job partly done and you appreciate that she will still give so much for your efforts.\n\n[[Gather the herbs.]]
Desperate to ease his brother's suffering, the young man begs you to make the elixer, not caring about the consequences. It takes you an hour to make the elixer and when it's finished you ask one final time if he's sure he wants to use it. Wanting to do anything in his power to help his brother he tells you to administer it. \nYou hold the feverish young mans nose as you pour the elixer into his mouth and it's swallowed promptly. His brother watches in relief as the young mans eyes stop darting and his breathing calms.\nYou check on the boy once more in the morning before [[leaving]] for Damerel.
The Priestess is offended at your remark but, being a Priestess, responds politely that you need not do the job should you not want the money.\nYou feel guilty for being so rude and tell her that 100 gold pieces will actually be enough instead and set out to [[Gather the herbs.]]
This is the last notice I put up before I begin searching for the persons responsible for stealing my crops! If I get my hands on you I promise you will not like the consequences!\n\n[[Stop the crop thieves.]]\n\nChoose something else from the [[Noticeboard.]]
You make your way to the little girl's home and are taken aback when you're greeted at the door by a smiling woman with a little girl at her waist.\nYou enquire about the missing poster but she tells you that her daughter was returned to her yeterday, apparently she had gotten her foot trapped under some large rocks while exploring the nearby forest. Though she had been missing for 2 days she was found by one of the local boys as he went hunting.\nIn her relief, her mother had forgotten to take down most of the posters.
My brother has fallen ill, I am in need of someone to travel to the apothecary in Damerel and bring me an antidote for a Myrmidon bite.\nReward: 100 Gold Pieces.\n\n[[Help the brothers.]]\n\nChoose something else from the [[Noticeboard.]]
You apologise and wish him well, taking your coin and leaving with a heavy heart.
The scent of stew makes your stomache rumble with longing and you find yourself drifting slowly closer to the entrance, feeling warmer with each step. You push the door open in earnest and are greeted with smiling faces. You make it barely 5 steps in when a drink is shoved into your hand and a song is sang in your name. \nYou drink with the patrons until the early hours of the morning but feel well rested when you awake the next morning. As you begin to pack your belongings you realise someone has made off with your coin purse during the night. A feeling of frustration floods over you but you have no choice but to continue on your journey.
You leave the temple to find that the sun has fully set but the moon shines bright in the sky. The priestess gave you explicit directions for where to find the herbs, explaining the Priestess' may not leave the premises at night in fear of what may be out in the dark.\nIt doesn't take you long to find the glade she directed you to and you make it back to the temple just after midnight.
You refuse to take the coin, telling the boy to instead put it towards the funeral of his brother. He thanks you one final time before you depart.
You decide to read through the other notices to find something more interesting.\n[[URGENT!]]\nReward: 100 Gold Pieces.\n\n[[HERBS WANTED.]]\n150 Gold pieces for all ingredients.\n\n[[CROP THIEVES.]]\nNo Reward.\n\n[[MISSING.]]\nReward for any information given.\n\n
It's been some time since your last job, and having extra coin never hurts, so you decide to make your way to the town centre to read the noticeboard.\n\n[[URGENT!]]\nReward: 100 Gold Pieces.\n\n[[HERBS WANTED.]]\n150 Gold pieces for all ingredients.\n\n[[CROP THIEVES.]]\nNo Reward.\n\n[[MISSING.]]\nReward for any information given.\n\n
You search the town for most of the day when, in the evening, you see a woman walking throught the streets tearing down the missing posters. You confront her, she must be trying to hide the fact that the little girl is missing for some reason.\nYou approach her angrily and almost begin to question her when the girl from the poster runs up to her, throwing her arms around the woman's waist. You ask her what is happening and she explains that her daughter was returned to her yeterday, apparently she had gotten her foot trapped under some large rocks while exploring the nearby forest.
You awake in the morning and prepare to travel to the apothecary in Damerel. As you pull on your shirt, however, you hear a scream of anguish from downstairs. \nYou run down hastily to find one brother crying at the others bedside, the fever having taken him during the night.
Something about this notice tugs at your heartstrings, you remember what it was like to have a sick loved one. You go to the brothers' home to see how they're faring.\nThe young man who opens the door has tired eyes but his face brightens slightly at the sight of you. You hold up the notice and he welcomes you inside. He tells you of how his brother was bitten by a Myrmidon while they were hunting elk in the forest.\nYou go in to see the sick brother and the sight is not good, his eyes are darting feverishly beneath the lids and he is sweating through his sheets. You remember you have an Auralias leaf in your pack, generally used to make sleeping elixers. Giving such a thing to someone with a fever could possibly just cause more trouble so you're unsure if you should tell his brother.\n\nOffer to make a [[sleeping elixer]] to soothe the feverish boy.\n\nStay the night and head to [[Damerel]] in the morning.
The Priestess apologises but informs you that she gave the other 30 gold pieces to the villager for the weeds. She instead offers to let you stay in the temple upon your return and will give you some supplies for your journey. You thank her profusely and set out to [[Gather the herbs.]]
Though it hardly seems welcoming you make your way to the inn on the right, the idea of dealing with the drunkards next door almost makes your stomach turn.\nAs you push the door open it creaks loudly, you're suprised to see that the outside doesn't reflect the lavish inside. Though there was no indication from outside, a fire crackles warmly in the hearth and there are a few patrons having meals inside.\nTo your suprise, fur rugs cover the floor and the room is lit by a soft glow from the sconces on the walls. You sit in comfortable silence while you eat your roast pig and have one of the most restful nights of your life, embarking early and eagerly the next morning to continue your journey.
You're familiar with the herbs listed and know it shouldn't be too difficult to get them all. You turn the notice over in hand to see who left it.\nEilana Runswick - Shrine of Hearis.\nYou ask someone to point you in the direction of the local temple. Though the sun is beginning to set it is the perfect time to gather the herbs, given that Nightroses only bloom while the moon shines. You enter the temple and talk to the Priestess.\nShe informs you that one of the villagers came to her with the thistle of weeds already but she would still be willing to pay 120 gold pieces for the rest of the ingredients.\n\n[[Accept.]]\n\n[[Take Less.]]\n\n[[Barter.]]\n\n
You arrive in Feland as the sun begins to wane in the sky. You've been on the road for a month and so you're unsure whether to spend the night here to [[Rest]], [[Continue]] on your journey, or check the town [[Noticeboard]].
You know that the journey after Feland means you won't see a bed for at least 2 months, so you begin to look for the nearest inn to have a warm meal and get some rest.\n\nYou find a street with 2 inns next to one another;\n\nThe inn to the left, [[The Staggered Stallion]], seems to have a hearty atmosphere. From where you stand you can hear drunken laughter bubbling from inside and the smell of some sort of stew wafts out to greet you.\n\nThe place next door stands out through its stark contrast. Boards cover one of the upstairs windows and the front door hangs askew on its hinges, swaying in the night breeze. The sign above reads: [[The Chortling Hen]].
The trip to Damerel was not a short one. Having left the brothers at sunrise you returned far past midnight. With the antidote in hand you return to the house of the young men.\nSomething in your chest tears as you enter seeing the boy, head hung, weeping over his brother's unmoving form.\nYou rest a hand on his shoulder as you whisper an apology that you didn't return in time. Though you expect him to lash out at you he instead thanks you for granting his brother a peaceful end with the sleeping elixer and offers you the 100 gold pieces.\n\n[[Accept]].\n\n[[Refuse]].
1 Thistle of Hagshair Weeds.\n3 Nightroses.\n6 Yellow Sorrels.\nNeeded for a study in healing powder.\n150 Gold pieces for all ingredients.\n\n[[Find the herbs.]]\n\nChoose something else from the [[Noticeboard.]]
You've made good progress on your journey so far, you decide to keep going. You're heart is heavy in your chest as you smell food from a nearby inn, but you set your jaw and continue on your quest.
You realise that crop thieves are of very little import to you, with a grunt you put the notice back on the [[Noticeboard.]]
The portrait of the little girl seems to look into your soul. You decide you'll stop at nothing to bring her home to her mother. \n\n[[Begin searching]] the town to find a trace of the little girl.\n\n[[Go to her house]] and ask her mother some questions first. That would probably be the best place to start after all.
