"I am sure you all know that Dr. Wolfe's Escape Room has been closed for some time, but it appears yesterday, according to their website, that they are now open. As you know, we have had numerous cases where the victim's last known location was at this establishment." Captain Barnes said.
Everyone in the room nodded their heads as they flipped through the files.
"How do we know this isn't just a coincidence?" Jeremy said, breaking the silence.
[[ "The universe is rarely that lazy, Jeremy, do try to keep up." ]]
[[ "It's not a concidence Jeremy where have you been for the past month?"]]
[[ Say nothing]]
"Even though you have a point, maybe try to tone it down. Thank you, Detective Garza," Captain Barnes said.
You smiled a little smile to yourself. You wondered if anyone noticed. You cleared your throat quietly and sat up straight.
[[ "Noted sir." ]]
[[ "I call it like I see it, sir." ]]
[[ "Yes sir." ]]
"Detective Peña, is there anything you want to add?" Captain Barnes asked.
You knew this was a challenge, but Jeremy was too prideful to back down.
"I just think that the patterns are spor--" Jeremy began.
You scoffed, and Jeremy went silent. You looked around the room, wanting to gauge everyone else's reaction. It seemed to range from shock to confusion.
[[ "Sporadic really?" ]]
[["How do you still work here?" ]]
[[ "Yeah, sixteen people missing, and the last place they were all seen alive is at this establishment. Not suspicious at all!" ]]
"Detective Peña, over sixteen people, are missing, and you think that's a coincidence?" Captain Barnes said.
You glanced at Jeremy and watched him take a small intake of breath.
"I'm just saying, sir, that it seems highly unlikely that a popular Escape Room is responsible for these missing persons," Jeremy said.
"What you think, Detective Garza?" Captain Barnes asked.
[[ *shrug your shoulders* "Everyone is entitled to their opinion even if they're wrong." ]]
[[ "He's not the Lead Detective on the case so..." ]]
[[ "No comment." ]]
"Wow, since when are we allowed to talk like that in the workplace?" Jeremy asked.
You glance up at him, removing your eyes from the case file. His eyes bore into yours.
There was a chance you were too hard on him, but you couldn't help yourself. You have been working on this case for months; it has almost become your obsession. And for him to disregard evidence was insulting.
[[ *roll eyes*]]
[[ Say nothing ]]
"Though he may not be, his insight is always welcome," Captain Barnes said.
You raised your eyebrows at the Captain's comment. Is his insight always welcome? You thought to yourself. You scratched behind your ear and looked down at the case file in front of you.
How could Jeremy dispute this? How could he not see that something was not right about that place? There were too many coincidences for it not to be something.
[[ "Yes sir." ]]
[[ "Noted sir." ]]
[[ "I call it like I see it, sir." ]]
"Sotic huh?" Captain Barnes asked.
"More like don't want to get in trouble for saying what we are all thinking," You thought to yourself.
[[ "Yes sir." ]]

"We're moving on to why we are here. We need people to go undercover and attend the Escape Room. The cycle of the killings right now would be about time. So, Detective Garza, you're going undercover." Captain Barnes said.
You expected this, but after months of advocating for this to happen, why now?
There were murmurs around the room, but you couldn't pick up on anything distinct. You deduced that possibly everyone was waiting for you to respond.
[[ "When do I start?"]]
[[ "Am I going to have backup?" ]]
[[ "Of course, Captain." ]]
"It seems to me that Jeremy needs to look up the definition of sporadic. Now let's move on to more important matters" Captain Barnes joked.
Everyone else in the room laughed in unison. Jeremy looked down at his notes his cheeks turning red.
[[ "Yes sir." ]]
[[ Say nothing]]
[[ "What's going on?" ]]
"Detective Garza, that comment was uncalled for! You will meet me in my office after this meeting." Captain Barnes.
You figured that comment was too far and suddenly became engrossed in the case file in front of you.
You didn't bother to look up at Jeremy even though you could feel his eyes on you.
[[ "Noted sir." ]]

Captain Barnes: "Let's lower the hoslity of this meeting."

[[ "Am I going to have backup?" ]]
[[ "Of course, Captain." ]] "Well, Detective Morales must debrief you on what to expect upon entering the establishment. Detective Morales has managed to get individuals that have made it to the victory dinner at the end," Captain Barnes said.
[[ "Victory Dinner?" ]]
[[ "It's just an Escape Room; how could it possibly be that bad that I need a debriefing?" ]]
[[ "Well it seems that I need to purchase the Dr. Wolfe Movies now." ]]
"Uh, yes, it's going to be Detective Peña," Captain Barnes announced.
The room seemed to be still as if everyone was waiting on your reaction.
[[ *laugh* ]]
[[ "Mr. Sporadic?" ]]
[[ "I hope you know Dr. Wolfe like the back of your hand 'cause it's all going to be on you, buddy." ]]
[[ *nod* ]]
"Now you will be provided backup which is Detective Peña and Detective Morales. We will be entering a debriefing in just a few minutes," Captain Barnes said.
"Understood," You and Jeremy said in unision.
"Alright, let's head to the debriefing," Captain Barnes said.
[[ Head to the Debriefing]]
"Yes, there is a victory dinner at the end of the escape room that they call The Victor's Dinner. Not many people make it to that portion of the escape room," Captain Barnes informed.
"What kind of Escape Room offers a congratulatory dinner?" You asked yourself.
You glance down at the file and wonder if you possibly missed it.
"It's not too late to back out Garza," Jeremy joked.
You cracked a smile and shook your head.
"In your dreams, Peña," You said.
"Let's head to the debriefing, shall we?" Captain Barnes asked.
[[ Head to the Debriefing]] "Actually, according to some Escape Room participants, there are no elements of the movies except the set pieces. Most of the tasks are gruesome, so I hope you both have the stomach for it. Let's head to the debriefing," Captain Barnes said.
You exchange a glance with Jeremy. "Both?"
"Yes, you will be partners," Captain Barnes announced.
You raised your eyebrows in surprise but nodded your head. Maybe there was something you two could learn from one another.

[[ Head to the Debriefing]] "I am supposed to be your partner on this case, and you are not making me feel like an appreciated team member," Jeremy said.
There were some oohs around the room and you had to fight to roll your eyes. "What is this high school," You thought to yourself.
"You haven't been paying attention to the case. I need to have full confidence that you have my back out there and that you are fully paying attention. Something is up with that place," You pointed out.
"I understand that, and I will be watching your six as long as you watch mine," Jeremy nodded.
"Of course," You said.
[[ Head to the Debriefing]]"You expect me to work with them?" Jeremy asked.
"Meet me in my office, Detective Garza," Captain Barnes said.
You could hear the oohs and the ahs from your coworkers. You rolled your eyes as you stood up. You shot a glance at Jeremy.
[[ *get up and start walking towards the office*]]
"I dont know anything about Dr. Wolfe actually. I'm in the same boat as you," Jeremy said.
"I guess we are having a movie marathon," You said.
"Actually according to some of the particapants of the Escape Room there is no elements of the movies except the set pieces. Most of the tasks are gruesome so I hope you both have the stomach for it. Let's head to the debreifing," Captain Barnes said.
[[ Head to the Debriefing]] "So when would you like to meet up and go over-" Jeremy began.
"Actually, both of you have a debriefing with Detective Morales. She has gathered individuals who have successfully gone through the entire escape room," Captain Barnes said.
[[ "When does the debriefing start?" ]]
[[ "How intense is this escape room?" ]]
[[ "Jeremy, you got your will in place? Cause I think we might need one." ]]
Captain Barnes slammed the door. You jumped slightly, and you hoped the Captain didn't notice. You sat in front of his desk, and Captain Barnes sat in his chair.
"I will have to pull you off as lead in this case. The lack of unprofessionalism I just witnessed in that room is unacceptable. I understand joking around and giving Peña a hard time, but you must learn when enough is enough," Captain Barnes said.
"Yes, sir," You said.
"Peña will lead this case with Detective Morales. You will remain at the station, maintaining their paperwork and being on call for anything they need," Captain Barnes continued.
You wanted to protest, but you decided against it.
"Yes, sir," You said.
"Now report to Peña and inform him about the change of station and do as he says," Captain Barnes instructed.
[[Leave to go to Peña]]
"Now come on," Captain Barnes said gathering his file and leaving the podium.
You quickly shoved papers into the manilla folder and checked on the floor to see if you had dropped anything.
"Come on!" Jeremy said from the door.
You rose from your chair with your case file in hand.
[[ Head to the Debriefing]] "Well, let's head to the debriefing first, and we'll see how intense it is," Captain Barnes said.
You glanced at Jeremy who had his eyebrows raised in surprise. You gave him a brief nod before you rose from your seat to follow Captain Barnes.
[[ Head to the Debriefing]] "A will is something you need to do on your own time; however, you both need to update your emergency contact information with Monica at the front desk. But before we do that, we need to go to the debriefing," Captain Barnes said.
You both watched Captain Barnes exit the room. Everyone around the two of you got up and continued with their day before the meeting.
"He's not being serious, is he?" Jeremy asked. You could tell he was looking at you, but your eyes remained on the podium where the Captain was only a few moments ago.
"Well, there is only one way to find out," You said as you rose from your chair.
[[ Head to the Debriefing]] "Thank you all for coming in today to provide testimonies and accounts of what you can remember about your time at Dr. Wolfe's Escape Room. To my left is Captain Aaron Barnes, Detective Garza, and Detective Peña," Detective Morales introduced. She gestured to each of you as she spoke. You stifled a laugh as Peña awkwardly waved to the group of people in front of you.
"As Detective Morales said, thank you all for coming," Captain Barnes said.
You and Jeremy nod your heads respectfully.
"Who would like to go first?" Captain Barnes asked.
A pin could fall in this room, and it would sound as thunderous as a Monsoon storm. No one moved to get up; instead, they each exchanged glances at one another.
"A very enthusiastic bunch we have," Captain Barnes joked.
It seemed to break the ice everyone chuckled. It seemed to lighten the mood enough for a teenage girl to raise her hand.
"Alright, we will start with you," Detective Morales said.
[[ Listen to the debriefing ]]
[[ Skip to Undercover Mission ]]
You exit the office and head back to the Bullpen. You see Jeremy looking over the reports and taking notes. You sigh and walk over to him.
"So it seems that I am your lackey, so whatever you want me to do, I will be happy to oblige," You say while picking up the stress ball on Jeremy's desk.
Jeremy lets out a sigh of discontent and ignores you.
"Is there anything you would like me to do?" You ask.
"Actually, yes, can you get me some coffee?" Jeremy asks, looking up at you.
"Are you being serious?" You ask.
"Well, you did say, 'I am your lackey, so whatever you want me to do," His voice trailed off, and you shot him a look.
"I was being sarcastic," You defend.
"I know. I'm enjoying this moment right now," Jeremy said with a smile.
You couldn't help but smile back.
You hear commotion happening behind you as Agent Morales walks up.
"So I have another case to work on, but I would be more than happy to assist on this-" She began.
"I am assisting, and you two are leading," You interrupted.
"Huh, okay," Agent Morales says while she hands you a stack of papers.
"In that case, can you read through these reports of all of the employees that work at Dr. Wolfe's and see if any have a criminal history or similarities?" she asks.
"Cross-Referencing, yay!" You said.
[[Begin Cross-Referencing]]
"Hello, my name is Melissa Alvarez, and I, um, went to Dr. Wolfe's Escape Room last summer," the teenage girl said a bit meekly.
"I still have nightmares about it," she added, her eyes staring into the distance.
You glanced around the room and noticed that people nodded in agreement.
"How traumatizing do you think this place is?" Jeremy whispered to you.
"It tricks you, that place. It starts with riddles and then their bodies and blood," Melissa said, but it sounded like she had a lump in her throat.
"The second room is where it gets you—that cadaver puzzle—the formaldehyde. I could still smell it on my hands when I got home," Melissa continued.
"I thought the body was fake until we began cutting into the organs," A man on the second row said.
"You what?" Jeremy asked.
Everyone turned to face Jeremy. Jeremy looked around the room, making eye contact with everyone; you wondered if he was searching for answers in people's eyes.
"There are index cards, and questions associated with organs are on them. Answer the question correctly, and you cut the organ to find the key," Melissa explained.
"What stops you from cutting all of the organs?" You asked.
"Nothing, but it's messer that way, and you get formaldehyde and blood all over you," Melissa answered nonchalantly.
"Why didn't you call the police?" Jeremy asked.
"Because ignorance is bliss," A woman said on the third row.
The whole meeting was listening to bloody accounts and how the dinner was not worth the trauma they endured. One woman mentioned that they offered a basket of souvenirs but that she threw it away.
You and Jeremy compared notes and sighed before looking at one another.
"I got you," You said.
"And I you," Jeremy replied.
[[Head to Undercover Mission -> Skip to Undercover Mission ]] It's blistering hot outside, and you are fanning yourself with a pamphlet that the staff passed out earlier. Jeremy is sweating like a pig and sitting on the ground using your shadow as shade.
"We should have brought water," Jeremy panted. He used his shirt to wipe his sweat.
"My goal is to get to that victory dinner at the end. Maybe the thirst will be motivation for you," You joked.
Jeremy rolled his eyes. "Hahaha, very funny," he said.
The door opens, and it reveals a butler. He gestures for everyone to come inside. Jeremy is one of the first people up and inside the building.
You roll your eyes and follow the crowd inside.
"Really, bro?" You asked.
"I don't do heat," Jeremy replied.
You look around the room and try to find anything out of the ordinary. One of the main things you notice is that everything is the color of blood.
[[Investigate the bookshelf]]
[[Talk to the guests around you]]
[[Talk to the Butler standing by the door]]
[[Walk around the room]]
The bookshelf in the back of the room drew your attention immediately. You dragged Jeremy with you. Jeremy dragged his feet since he claimed that where he was standing was a direct streamline of A/C.
You stopped a foot from the bookshelf.
"Why did you drag us over here?" Jeremy asked to fan himself.
"Look at the bookshelf," You say.
Jeremy turns to you before glancing around the bookshelf.
"What's so fascinating about this?" Jeremy asked.
"Look at this!" You said, pointing at a seemingly dull book with a spine that read, Είσοδος στο θάνατο.
Jeremy nods his head and looks at you. You frown, and Jeremy shrugs his shoulders.
"Sorry, I don't understand what it says," Jeremy said.
"Dude, you act like we don't live in the 21st century," You said before you pulled out your phone and took a picture of the spine.
You uploaded it to the internet, and the translation popped up instantly.
"Entry to death," Jeremy reads nonchalantly.
"Look at all the other books on the shelf none of them have writing on the spines except for this one," You point out.
Jeremy opens his mouth to say something but a bell rings. You both turn to see a maid ringing a bell to get everyone's attention.
Jeremy moves through the crowd to get closer.
[[Cut through the crowd to stand next to Jeremy]] You walk up to the couple next to you.
"So what do you guys think about-" Your voice trails off, but you use your hands to gesture to the room around you.
The woman nods at you and slowly blinks before she hyper-fixates on a tapestry hanging on the wall to your left.
"I think it's freaky, dude. This is almost exactly like the movie. It amazes me that they paid this much attention to detail," The man said softly, tapping the woman's shoulder.
"I don't like any of this stuff," The woman said.
"Why are you here then?" You ask.
The woman playfully gestures to the man next to her.
"He's lucky that I love him," she said.
The three of you laugh.
"Do you think you'll make it to The Victor's Dinner?" You ask.
The woman laughs and shakes her head.
"I don't think we will, but I think he will if he leaves me behind," She said.
The man shakes his head and kisses the woman on her forehead.
"I'm not leaving you behind, babe," He said before winking at you.
The woman playfully hits the man on the shoulder.
"Oh, how rude of us we didn't even introduce ourselves! I'm Rebecca, and this is Ahmed," she said.
"Hello, my name is Bailey," You said, holding your hand out for them to shake.
You all shake hands before a maid rings a bell to bring everyone's attention to the back of the room near the bookshelf.
[[Excuse yourself to go stand by Jeremy.]]
You walk up to the Butler, who stands like a statue by the door. And, in your opinion blocking it completely.
"Hello," You greet.
The Butler doesn't even move or acknowledge that you have even spoken. You lick your lips and wonder if you must roleplay to get him to talk.
"Good sir, where may I find the lavatory?" You ask.
The Butler points to the left to a sign that says restrooms.
You nod your head and begin walking in that direction.
"Wow, just wow," You whisper to yourself before walking into the restroom.
You wash your hands and look in the mirror. You spray water on the back of your neck and your face.
You walk back outside, and the Bulter is in the same spot you left him. You're pretty sure that he hasn't even blinked.
You retake note that he appears to be blocking the door. You raise your eyebrow in suspicion and decide to test a theory.
You walk towards him.
"Excuse me, I need to get something from my car," You said, attempting to step around him and turn the doorknob.
"Your belongings will be there when you return at the end of the day," The Butler replied before staring into your eyes.
Something about his stare chilled you to your very core. You shivered before a bell rang. It brought your attention to the back of the room where a maid was ringing a bell.
[[Excuse yourself to go stand by Jeremy.]] You notice candles burning and the tapestries around the room that have cannibalistic pictures depicted on them. You see drawings of people carving into hearts on platters. There is a painting of what looks similar to the last supper. But there are livers, hearts, and intestines instead of bread and wine at the table.
Your nose scrunches at the smell of rusty pennies. Everything in the room is overwhelming and overstimulating. You can almost taste the rust on your tongue when you open your mouth. *Blood.*
"Am I tasting blood?" You think to yourself as you smack your lips.
You whip around and notice that everything in this god-forsaken room is red. The walls appear to be crying tears of blood.
The hairs on your arms and your neck are sticking straight up. Your heart races, but it stops at the sound of a bell.
You turn to see a maid by the bookshelf ringing a bell to gain everyone's attention.
[[Stand next to Jeremy]]
"Welcome all to the mysterious house of Dr. Samuel Wolfe. Today, you will be attempting to escape multiple rooms before Dr. Wolfe returns home," the maid said.
A phone rang, and everyone gasped except for the maid, that smiled.
The maid walked over to the phone before picking it up and placing it on her ear.
"Wolfe residence," the maid greeted.
"Yes, Dr. Wolfe, we will expect you shortly; safe travels," The maid said before hanging up the phone.
"Well, it looks like surgery with a patient got moved to tomorrow morning, and he is on his way home, so now you all have forty-five minutes instead of an hour to escape. If you don't make it to the end, well, I guess you're on the menu for dinner," the maid joked.
Everyone laughed at the joke, but you couldn't help but feel like her words had a double meaning.
She pulled a book down from the bookshelf with Είσοδος στο θάνατο written on the spine. Your breathing hitched as the tapestry lifted, revealing a steel door.
You knew that there was no evidence that this place was the reason behind the disappearances, but the feeling in your gut told you to run.
Your mind raced at the horrors that could be behind the door.
"Come on into the dungeon," The maid said.

[[Enter the dungeon]] There were chains attached about a foot apart from each other on every inch of the wall. The room smelled of bleach, so much so that you were convinced that your nose hairs were singed off.
The maid began assigning people to chains, and you grabbed Jeremy when she pointed at you. You dragged Jeremy to the chain she assigned you and gestured for him to go to the one next to you.
A butler and another maid walked around, locking people in place. With every snapped lock, your heart seemed to beat faster.
"It's not real," You chanted to yourself.
"But it is," The butler said as he lifted your arm and locked the chain. He released your arm, which fell to your side and nearly hit the wall behind you.
You could smell his breath, and the smell of rusty pennies seemed to follow you no matter where you went.
"Now that you're all in your holding cell, I will explain how to get out. To the right of the chain, you will see a keypad. On the keypad will be a series of riddles; you must answer four riddles for the chain to break free. There is a time limit on the riddles, and the openings to the next room will get smaller and smaller. And at forty-five minutes, all openings will close, and you will not move on to have a victory dinner. Good luck, and I hope you all live to see tomorrow," the maid said before exiting the room.
"How are we getting through this?" Jeremy whispered to you.
"I don't know but we're making it to that dinner," You said.
You gave him a look of encouragement before you turned to your ipad.

"Nah man you go on. I got this," He says staring at the screen.

You and Jeremy sit next to each other before you hear a loud thud.
Everyone in the room jumps in surprise.
"Must be the door closing," A voice says behind you. You slowly turn to see a maid walk out of the shadows and into view.
"Congratulations on making it to the second round. More of you survived than we thought," She said as she walked around the circle touching the back of everyone's chair.
Jeremy shivered as she walked by, but you remained unphased and looked around the room that smelled of bleach and peroxide.
"Nonetheless, the Riddles were the easiest task in this Escape Room. If you want to attend the Victory Dinner, you'll have to earn it," she said.
"Now, everyone follow me," she said.

You all enter a room that has smells heavily of formaldehyde. You wrinkle your nose at the scent and look at your phone. You have been inside this place for nearly thirty mintues. A woman screams in front of you and steps back on your foot. She clings on to you so tightly that you are sure you will have bruises and indentions in your skin for weeks to come. You glance up and see a cadaver on the table.
You glance at Jeremy who is staring at the body in bewilderment and disgust.
"Inside of this cadaver are keys that will open the door to our right," the maid said gesturning to the door next to them.
"Scapels our own the table behind you," the maid said before she secluded into the shadows.
"I'm going to be sick," The woman clutching your arm said.
Everyone in the room began to murmur amongst themselves before the sound fille the room completely. It was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think.
[[ Attempt to calm everyone down]]
[[Grab a scapel]]
"Everyone, it's okay; this is all make-believe," You say as you walk closer to the body. You look down at the corpse's features, and your blood runs cold. Her face matched the many photos taped on the walls in the bullpen.
"Oh my god," You whispered as you staggered away from the body.
"That's Carolyn Rivers," You whispered as you staggered into Jeremy.
"Hey, Hey, what's wrong?" Jeremy asked, tapping your arm.
"That's Carolyn Rivers," You whispered to him.
"Are you serious?" He asked as he walked over to the body. You could see his body tense.
"What's going on?" A woman asked.
"My name is Detective Garza, and this is my partner Detective Jeremy Peña; we demand to be released immediately," You shout as you flash your badge to all corners of the room.
The lights turned on in the room, and the ambiance disappeared as the maid opened the door.
"Is there a problem?" The maid asked, looking at no one except Jeremy and you.
"Police," You said as you flashed your badge at her.
You noticed her eyes slightly bug in surprise before she swallowed loudly.
"Come on, everyone, let's exit the escape room," She said as she opened the door wider.
"I can grab the owner for you?" The maid asked before she briskly walked away without an answer.
"How's that backup looking like Napur?" You said, holding your finger to your ear.
"Eta 2 mintues," She said.
You glance at Jeremy, who seems to be shaking.
"Hey Jeremy, are you okay?" You ask.
Jeremy turns around and hurls into a potted plant.
"This place is vile. Maximum sentences for everyone," Jeremy said in between hurls.
You couldn't fault him; you were holding back your vomit. You shudder to think that every victim was used as a prop piece.
You tapped your foot, walked through the door the maid went through, and smelt barbecue. You opened the door and saw body parts hanging on hooks and employees franticly throwing parts into an incinerator.
You staggered out of the room just as Captain Barnes walked through the door.
"Detective Garza, have you spoken with the owner?" He asked.
You opened your mouth to speak but threw up in the same potted plant as Jeremy.
"You need to close this one out. I can't do this," You said in between hurls. As you made your way to the scalpels, Jeremy caught your arm.
"That's Carolyn Rivers; she went missing four months ago; we need to get everyone out of here," Jeremy whispered.
You nodded your head and held your finger to your comms.
"Requesting backup," You said calmly.
You could hear the sirens a little bit away when you all exited.
"I can grab the owner for you?" The maid asked before she briskly walked away without an answer.
"How's that backup looking like Napur?" You said, holding your finger to your ear.

You opened your mouth to speak but threw up in the same potted plant as Jeremy.
"You need to close this one out. I can't do this," You said in between hurls. Your eyes began to droop after the tenth file that you read. There was nothing that correlated with the associates that worked there. The establishment was very diverse in its hiring process. There were some similarities, like similar work experience but nothing to raise suspicion.
You sigh, close the file, and begin to rub your eyes. You glance at the time at the corner of your screen; the time reads 3:45 am.
You lift your head and glance around the Bullpen. You're one of the only people still there.
"Might as well sleep here," Dolores calls out from the receptionist's desk.
"Huh?" You ask.
"Captain Barnes, Morales, and Peña are meeting at 6:45 am. You might as well stay and use the deputy showers on the first floor," Dolores continues.
"I'll order us breakfast while you get showered, " Dolores said.
"Thank you, Dolores," You say as you gather your things to go to your locker to grab your spare clothes.
"No problem, baby," she said as you passed the desk to the locker room.
[[Meeting with Barnes, Morales, and Peña]]
"Survelliance? You want me on Survelliance?" You exclaimed as you tear apart a kolache.
"Would you rather be shuffling through paper all day?" Agent Morales asked.
[[Say nothing and eat your kolache]]
[[Raise your eyebrows and nod before taking a sip of coffee]]
[[Is survelliance even necessary?]]
"That's what I thought," Morales said, and you shot a look to Captain Barnes.
"So inappropriate behavior is only allowed whenever she does it?" You ask.
"Morales, that is unacceptable," Captain Barnes.
"Hardly they're insubordinate at every opportunity-" She began.
"That's enough," Captain Barnes.
"Why do you feel the need to protect-" She continued.
"That's enough, Morales. One more comment, and you will be removed from this case," He said.
"Good, I have another one to work on," She said as she got up from her chair and left.
[[ Skip to Undercover Mission ]]
"Okay, anyways, can we move on?" Captain Barnes said.
"Yes, sir," Everyone said in unison.
"Anyways, Garza, you will be surveillance and assisting them on the obstacles end of the discussion," Captain Barnes said.
You nod your head.
"Agent Napur will assist you in the van three blocks down," Captain Barnes said.
[[You get up and leave to go find Napur.]]
"Well, considering that we are entering a possible undercover murder ring, yeah, we need surveillance," Morales said, rolling her eyes.
You nod your head and take a sip of your coffee.
"Apart from your job to assist them on their mission cause, according to eyewitness accounts, there are riddles, puzzles, and obstacles that are needed to move on," Captain Barnes.
"Wouldn't it be suspicious if they are too good at the--" You began
"Why did we ask them to assist?" Morales interrupted.
"Because they know the most about this case," Jeremy said.
"Then why aren't they leading it?" Morales asked.
"Because yesterday I was exhibiting the same behaviors that you are exuding on this fine morning," You explain.
Morales stayed quiet and flipped through the files.
"Captain Barnes, I want to be off this case. I have a lead on the case I thought ran cold," Morales said.
"Of course," Captain Barnes said.
Morales gets up and leaves.
"Well, Garza, it seems you are back in," Captain Barnes said.
[[ Skip to Undercover Mission ]]
The van was a standard. Napur managed to stock it with snacks and drinks. She explained the devices to Peña and Morales, and you wondered how this situation would play out.
You put on your headset, and Napur began attempting to hack into the camera feed, but something popped up on your screen.
You clicked it.
"DON'T CLICK IT," Napur shouted, and a bunch of error messages went on every screen except the one right in front of you.
The writing on the screen read: Wanna play a game? Click yes or no.
"What the hell is this, Napur?" You asked.
"What's happening?" Morales asked. Her voice echoes through your headset.
"It appears we were counter-hacked. We need to complete this little game as quickly as possible while they attempt to locate us. We need to keep moving," Napur said as she hopped in the front seat and began driving.

"Why are all of these number sequences? I hate this shit!" You complain as you stare at the sequence in front of you.
"You need to be quick; we need to head back; the comms don't reach this far!" Napur shouted.
"I understand that. I'm trying my bes-" You began.
"They could be compromised or struggling; hurry up!" Napur shouted.
"Thank you for the motivation."
"What's the question?"

"I got it; we're through!" You exclaim. Napur cheers as she begins to navigate back to the Escape Room.
The comms in your ear sound like distorted static as you approach the building again.
"We need to reset the comms to hear them again," Napur says as she parks.
You remove the headpiece from your head and hand it to her for her to reset.
Once you put the headpiece back on, you hear chainsaws.
"I managed to find a secret door, and I am in a room where, oh my god!" Morales whispered.
"What's happening, Morales? Talk to me," You said.
"We need backup now!" She said.
"Already on it. I need all Units at 15674 Rayford and Sawdust," Napur said into CVV radio.
It didn't take long to hear the sirens. You and Napur exited the vehicle, already dressed in vests. You two put them on quickly and made your way to the building.
"On my command. One two three," Captain Barnes shouted before everyone busted in through the door.
"Hands in the air! I need everyone's hand in the air," Everyone shouted in unison.
Workers began raising their arms, seeming to be confused. Morales rounded the corner, covered in blood and holding her side.
"They're cannibals," She grunted before she crumbled on the ground.
"I have an agent down. I need a medic!" You shouted as you ran to her side and placed pressure on her wound.
"Come on, Morales, you can't die on me," You shouted at her.
She chuckled in response.
"Hey hey hey Morales, where's Jeremy?" You asked her.
She sprung to life and began frantically looking around the room.
"Jeremy! You have to find him!" She shouted. Napur came up behind you and offered to hold pressure.
[[You get up and try to find Jeremy]]
You approached a maid and asked her to help locate the missing people.
She agreed and led them through the back door by the kitchen. She brought you down a long narrow hallway before she opened the door to your right.
Jeremy was covered head to toe in blood inside the room with a scalpel in his hand. The other people in the room exclaimed in anger.
"You see, I told you they would consider it cheating!" Someone exclaimed.
"I am Detective Garza, and this place is under investigation, so please exit while I speak to Detective Jeremy," You say, flashing your badge.
Everyone quickly exited before you gestured for Jeremy to leave as well.
You debriefed him on Agent Morales' situation, and he sprinted out of the building after her ambulance.
"I guess he is very attached to her," You mentioned to Napur, and she hit your shoulder.
"Of course, they're engaged," She said.
"Since when?" You asked.
She rolled her eyes just as Captain Barnes asked you to join him in questioning the owner.
