Nurse Snail On Duty

You are a cat. But not just any cat... Sometimes you go by the name of Rose, or Sweet Snail. But on days when people are feeling under the weather, you go by an entirely different name. You are known, as Nurse Snail. Today, is one of those days. And Nurse Snail, is on duty! [[report for duty!]]

Normally, your job would be quite easy... Find the person who isn't feeling all that well, climb into their lap, commence the purring procedures, radiate warmth and coziness, allow person to feel better through your sweet loving powers, climb down from lap, drink water, eat food, take cat nap and recharge love meter for next time. [[so what's the problem?]]

The problem, this time, Nurse Snail, is that you have not just one, but two people who require your services! Val is feeling under the weather, and so is Cory. So now, you see the dilemma... There are two people who need your help, but only one of you. So, which one will you nurse today? [[Val]] [[Cory]]

A fine choice! You decide you're going to help Val feel better today. Cory can fend for himself! So then, your first task is to locate your person so you can get to the nursin'. Only question is, where is she? [[check the living room]] [[check the bedroom]]

Really? You want to go and help Cory, instead of Val? I mean, I guess, if you *really* want to, we can consider it? No, you know what? No, screw that. Go help Val, Cory's on his own today! [[ok... go help Val instead ->Val]]

You check the living room. There are various drawing books, yarn and crochet hooks, and musical instruments strewn around the room, but no signs of Val in here anywhere... [[climb higher to get a better look]] [[get low to see if she's hiding somewhere]]

You know better by now... If she's not feeling well, she's not going to be in the living room. She'll likely be curled up in bed in agony, in the fetal position, groaning in her misery! You slink your way to the bedroom and take a peek. There are mounds of blankets in the bed, but no obvious signs of Val in here. [[check the blankets]] [[check under the bed]]

You begin climbing up on a bookshelf to get a better view. As you climb higher, you start to feel dizzy from the height. [[keep climbing]] [[stop and rest]]

You hunker down really low and scan the area. Down here, you can see under the metal table, where she usually sits. You can also see one of the cabinets has been left open across the room. Maybe she's hiding under the table or in the cabinet? [[crawl under the table]] [[crawl inside the cabinet]]

You keep climbing, determined to find your person! Unfortunately the dizziness only gets worse and you suddenly black out. You fall from the bookshelf and land in a pile of soft pillows, unconscious. (text-colour:red)[**You have FAILED to help Val**] [[try again ->Cover]]

You decide to stop and rest, catching your breath. The dizziness gradually subsides, but you feel exhausted form the climb. A big yawn carries you off to dreamland as you cozy up on the shelf. (text-colour:red)[**You have FAILED to help Val**] [[try again ->Cover]]

You crawl underneath the metal table. Your eyes are peeled wide as you look for any signs of Val down here. You don't see here anywhere and the darkness makes you sleepy. Your slender frame grants you easy access to the cabinet's interior. Unfortunately, the moment you slip inside, the door slams shut behind you! Probably one of those pesky dogs bumped into it... You climb up onto the bed and inspect the mound of blankets. Pawing at them gently with your lone front leg, you discover the truth... She isn't here! [[keep digging]] [[stop and rest for a moment]]

Wondering if Val might be playing a trick on you and trying to hide from you, you decide to check under the bed for her. It's a tight squeeze to get under, but you're determined to find and help her! [[keep squeezing your way through]] [[take a break]]

You continue to paw at the blankets, digging down deep to make sure she isn't buried in here somewhere. Unfortunately, you go so deep that the mountain of blankets above, suddenly collapses on top of you and buries you in comfort. You *reluctantly* curl up and take a nice long nap. All this hard work has made you tired. You stop and rest for a moment... here, amidst the warmth and comfort of the blankets in the bed... It doesn't... take... long... before... zZz... (text-colour:red)[**You have FAILED to help Val**] [[try again ->Cover]]

You won't be denied! You take a deep breath, suck it in, and keep pushing forward. Unfortunately, you get stuck and can't get back out. With no signs of Val under here anyway, you shrug and decide it's nap time... (text-colour:red)[**You have FAILED to help Val**] [[try again ->Cover]]

You take a short break and catch your breath. You have a feeling you'll probably get stuck if you keep going. Suddenly, you hear a noise coming from somewhere else in the area! Maybe it's her!? [[keep squeezing your way through]] [[go check out the noise]]

You backtrack and find your way to the last place you thought to check... The bathroom! As you peek your head around the corner, you catch sight of movement out of the corner of your eye. [[dive into the bathroom]] [[see what the movement is]]

Knowing it's now or never, you dive into the bathroom! You tumble head over heels, crashing across the floor and look up to see... Val! You finally found her, sitting here on the toilet this whole time! She doesn't look very happy, so you immediately spring into action. You climb up onto her lap, doing your best to not claw her legs. Once you've made it, you curl up, settle in and begin your treatment. It doesn't take long at all, before your wonderful nursing starts to work its magic. You hesitate, your curious nature getting the better of you. Turning away from the bathroom, you take a step toward the movement you saw. Suddenly, the dreaded POOKA beast pounces from the shadows!
