Author’s Notes. AYS is a newer project and of which was inspired by the infamous Isekai genre and is based on a running joke character me and my bro Chris made up together, I hope to get enough attention to this series that someone likes it enough to offer to turn it into a manga series for me. Like that everything became a flash of bright light and then faded to black, at first there was no sound or light and all he knew, as the God had just said was that he had just died. ‘’Where am I… oh right…I just died…but then..whats with this vast nothingness? I thought I was supposed to be reincarnated into some new world?’’ He had thought these words to no one but himself but soon the world around him would brighten up a little as his eyesight adjusted and he’d instantly react by gasping for air as the fear of drowning kicked in. He seemed to be at the bottom of a pond or a lake of some kind…but he could see all around him, what a weird sensation. All around him were small and large black rocks and he’d realize he didn’t need to breath and couldn’t physically speak nor did he seem to have a human body. When he looked down he saw a small black stone and wasn’t really sure what was going on until a voice popped up in the back of his mind. ‘’Hello? Yuki? Can you hear me? This is the god of creation.’’ ‘’Of course I can hear you, just what in the hells going on here?!’’ ‘’Please don’t be too upset, okay? But the reincarnation system malfunctioned a little and you were reincarnated as a rock instead…but there are some benefits such as you are an immortal and indestructible rock that no man nor god can destroy and you count as an immortal object. You can throw yourself exactly 13 feet through the air and move around by rolling. And while you can’t actually speak you can speak with anything or one telepathically, regardless of it being alive or not.'' ‘’You mean to tell me that of all the things you could have brought me back to life as, you made me a freaking rock?! ‘’Now, now…I told you not to be too upset. But hey, you can’t feel any pain and don’t need to eat or drink…you also don’t need to breathe and are unaffected by the heat or the cold. Also, despite your small size of 3 inches you weigh 40lbs. I can see a vast amount of potential in this.'' ‘’You had one job! One freaking job!’’ ‘’Hey, I don’t have to listen to this you ungrateful ingrate.’’ Like that the god’s presence faded and Yuki was on his own, left to his own vices and after what felt like several long weeks he had found a way out of the lake by rolling and tossing himself up a slope of dirt on the side of the lake. And when he finally made it out he’d stare up into the beautiful night sky which was brightened by the three moons and he’d take a small breath and relax…finally he was on land. But just rolling and tossing himself around wasn’t going to do…it took so long. He figured he probably shouldn’t make everyone aware of his existence, after all…a living sentient rock talking to people may freak someone out leading them to doing something stupid…But at the same time he needed a way to travel around, a companion he could trust and who could keep a secret… ‘’Its somewhere around here…I just know it…The divine object left here by the gods…’’ ‘’Uh-oh…treasure hunters maybe? This could be bad…I better act like a normal plain rock as to not draw any unwanted attention to myself.’’ II. [[III.]]
A group of people dressed in what looked like fantasy adventuring gear straight out of an anime would walk right by him and one would stub their toe on him causing them to trip and fall over, drawing a bit of attention to him. They were in so much pain and so angry that they’d pick him up and strain a muscle, they’d swear as they dropped him to the ground and would call the others to them. ‘’Guys, check out this weird fucking rock.’’ ‘’What about it? Its a fucking rock.’’ ‘’Yeah, but I tried to pick it up and it has to weigh like a ton.’’ ‘’Yeah right, you’re just making that up.’’ ‘’No, I’m being serious.’’ Like that, they’d take turns trying to lift him and very much succeeding, but 40 pounds wasn’t anything to laugh at. ‘’Damn this things heavy as all hell for something so small.’’ ‘’I told you I wasn’t making shit up.’’ ‘’I think I’ll keep this little guy, for something this unique I bet a merchant will pay quite a handsome amount of coin.’’ True to the man’s word, he’d sell the rock the next day to a merchant who was completely baffled. The man made quite a lot of gold and later on the merchant would try to fashion him into a necklace but nothing he tried worked when trying to chisel a hole into him, any tools he used on him just broke or didn’t do anything, not even a scratch. The merchant was frustrated but highly fascinated by this seemingly indestructible rock and would go as far as super heating it and everything, but Yuki was so bored he’d just take a nap while the merchant tried to find a way to destroy him. Within a few months he had tried every known method but failed every single time, He was convinced that this rock was some kind of divine object and would hand him over to the nearest church who after much skepticism would finally take the rock off his hands but it was by this point that when the head priestess asked to examine it alone and he’d finally do it…he’d speak to someone. _____________________________ Episode 1. _____________________________ ‘’O’ Holy maiden…lend me thine ear…’’ ‘’Whose there?! Show yourself!’’ ‘’Down here, in front of you.’’ ‘’What? The rock?’’ ‘’Yes, the rock.’’ ‘’This must be some kind of a trick…’’ ‘’I assure you this is no trick, I am indeed alive.’’ ‘’Prove it.’’ The rock would jump up and land in between her rather perfectly round and bouncy boobs knocking her over and she’d just as quickly toss him across the room. ‘’You little pervert!’’ ‘’Hey, you’re the one who told me to prove I’m actually alive.’’ ‘’The only explanation for this…is that you must in fact be a divine object gifted to us by the heavens…how else do you explain a living immortal rock that not only can’t be destroyed but can talk and has sentience?’’ ‘’You aren’t wrong…not technically…I was put in this world by the god of creation…’’ ‘’Such a bold claim…yet it must be true…’’ ‘’What will you do with me?’’ ‘’You are a true divine object, given to us by the god of all gods…so its only natural you will be made an object of worship.’’ ‘’Sounds pretty boring.’’ ‘’Please don’t say that Mr.Rock! Any mortal of this world would kill to be the center of worship! You’ll be treated just as if you yourself were a god…we’ll keep you clean and polished and we’ll make sure you’re nice and comfy every day…plus you’ll always be safe.’’ ‘’Safe? Are you kidding me? I literally can’t be destroyed, I don’t need to be safe.’’ ‘’I know that may be true Mr.Rock…but you have no idea how special you truly are, and think about all the women who’ll come visit you.’’ ‘’You do realize that while I was created by the god of creation…I can’t actually speak with the gods right?’’ 1. You’ll still be worshiped by the very world…you’ll be cherished by so many people.’’ ‘’And if I decide to refuse?’’ ‘’It’d be wrong to force it on you…after all you are a living creature…so if you say no, I’ll let you leave…but Mr.Rock, surely you’d need someone to carry you around and such on your travels if you choose to travel…but what would be the purpose? You can’t eat or drink and don’t really need to sleep…you have no reason to venture anywhere.’’ ‘’That may be true, but I’ve only just been born into this world, and I’d rather love to see it.’’ ‘’I have another proposal than…what if you still become an object of worship but every now and then we let you see the world? I’ll pay for each trip you take personally if I must, but you’ll be guarded at all times and you can go anywhere you desire.’’ ‘’Fine, I guess I’ll agree to this…for now. But if you guys bore me to badly I’m out.’’ ‘’Thats so wonderful to hear! I’ll make your presence known to everyone and after you get a good polishing we’ll open up a shrine to you as soon as possible.’’ ‘’I just hope I don’t regret this decision…’’ The head priestess nearly forgot to introduce herself due to her excitement but would give a respectful bow to the rock and ask its name. ‘’Surely a living creature must have a name, so what is yours?’’ ‘’Hey, ladies first.’’ ‘’Oh no, I insist.’’ ‘’No,no,no…please…you go first.’’ ‘’I said I insist.’’ ‘’And I wouldn’t be much of a gentleman if I didn’t let you go first.’’ ‘’Fine! I’ll tell you mine first…by the gods…My name is Myrinna Everbloom and I am the current High Priestess of this fine village.’’ ‘’Well, I had a name in what you may call my past life…and that was Yuki but right now, as a rock I have no such name. I’d prefer for personal reasons and beliefs that no one know my true name.’’ ‘’I see..so then this leaves you with no name to call your own…’’ ‘’I’d be fine with just simply being called Rock.’’ ‘’Thats too simple though…’’ 2. Leave that woman alone!‘’ As he yelled these words he would charge the guy to her left giving him a solid enough punch to the face to knock him out, at first all they had were knives but the other guy would pull out a gun and look him in the eyes as he spoke. ‘’You shouldn’t have done that kid, now you gotta pay for knocking out my buddy over there.‘’ The man would then attach a silencer to his gun before shooting Yuki in the right knee, things had just went from bad to worse and the pain was really bad. ‘’Run! While they’re focused on me!‘’ The woman would do exactly that and the man was so pissed off that he didn’t bother to stop her either. ‘’You know kid…today just isn’t your lucky day…’’ And like that the man walked over to him, shot out his other knee cap, pistol whipped him a few times than placed a bullet between his eyes. Life faded from Yuki’s eyes just as fast as the bullet exited the back of his head and before he knew it there was nothing, nothing except an empty and vast darkness. No light at the end of the tunnel huh? He would think these words yet he could not speak them. But then the darkness would fade into…a room? ‘’Where…am…I? ’’ ‘’You’re dead, of course.‘’ ‘’I’m dead?…’’ ‘’Yes, but wouldn’t you like another chance at a new life? Surely you’re not ready to die yet, not at the age of only 27.‘’ ‘’Good, then as the God of Creation I will allow you to be reincarnated into the world of Ikaria where you may have a fresh start.’’ ‘’Alright, I’m ready.’’ ‘’How you live your new life is up to you, but so long as you live it to the fullest you’ll be fine. While Scree refers to a small piece of rock found on the ground, This way my name still references a rock and thus clearly stating that I am of Nature.’’ ‘’Oh wow, I like that…you seem to have put much thought into this name Mr. Rock…though I’m afraid since you’re not of the mortal races there are certain things you may not be able to do.’’ ‘’Of this fact I am much aware, I am no more than a lowly rock and not by any means a mortal being and I therefor can’t enjoy the things mortals enjoy…which is why I’d like to make a request…one I hope isn’t asking to much…’’ ‘’Very well, ask it and I shall see if I am able to grant it.’’ ‘’This is a very serious matter to me, currently I must move around by rolling or throwing myself and to speak I must do so telepathically but can speak with anyone or thing regardless of sentience…but I’d like to somehow have a body of some sort.’’ ‘’A body?’’ ‘’Yes, through magic this may be achievable. That aside…I happened to listen in on your conversation earlier and I understand that you seek a divine artifact that can be used to give you a golem’s body. I could just give you such an item…but I won’t. Instead, you’ll have to find someone to request it and get it from The God Of The Forge, Burnns. I’ll let you walk around as a little measly golem for a while and then someday when you’ve earned my favor I’ll give you a better body.’’ ‘’You really don’t like making things easy for me do you? _____________________________ Episode 2. _____________________________ Being an object of someone's worship was very bothersome and annoying because they always jumped straight to asking Talus to deliver a message to the gods or asked for an audience with the gods, to these obscene requests he found it easiest to just give it to them straight and crush all their hopes and dreams. There were times when he almost felt bad about being a complete and utter dick…but that wasn't very often and he got over it pretty fast with how freaking stupid most of these idiots were. It had only been a few days since his shrine had been finished being constructed, it was a pretty badass looking shrine too. That represented earth and nature, truly a beautiful and majestic sight to behold. Just within one entire day a large crowd had lined up by the shrine to see this divine object for themselves. ''Divine object my ass…I bet it's just another normal freaking rock, the church has scammed us plenty of times in the past.'' ''Watch your tongue Hans, if the holy order hear you speaking badly about the church like that…who knows what they might do to you…'' ''If they don't want people talking shit than they should show of real divine items too worship instead of some stupid fucking rock.'' Many conversations exactly like this one were very common, in fact it seemed almost everyone had their doubts and were disappointed that the church was willing to go this far and stoop this low just to get a few more followers. Talus didn't really care what they thought, but he still made it a point to mess with them. ''Man, for such a small rock this thing sure does weigh a ton.'' ''Quit fibbing, get outta the way and let me try n lift it.'' The brick house of a man would push the commoner to the side and lift Talus, though as ripped as this man was 40lbs wasn't very much. ''I'll be damned, it really does weigh a ton. No problem for someone as strong as me'self but I can see everyone else have'n trouble picking this thing up.'' ''See! I told ya you muscle head!'' ''Whatcha just call me ya damn Vezmal Elf?!'' ''Oh sweet, are you two about to fight on holy grounds? Finally, some entertainment. The two mortals would leave the room so fast you'd think they had seen a ghost or just witnessed a murder. Many hours would pass after that and the shrine would be closed off for the rest of the day, the good thing about these church people is that they treated him as an actual person…to an extent. They had a set time for his hours of worship, as if it were a job. ''Is there anything you'd like today sir Scree? Anything at all?'' ''Actually…a nice hot bath in the finest mineral water you have would be nice.'' The neat part was that while he couldn't feel pain he still had a few of his senses though they had never been so heightened as they were in this new life, he almost enjoyed being a rock and this world was in fact straight out of a medieval fantasy isekai, with various races and even monster girls but there were even what he supposed could be called monster boys, he was pretty sure an SJW wouldn't survive even a second in this world though because here if a chick hit a dude the dude was allowed to hit them back and then some, wasn't exactly true equality but men and women were pretty equal in this world. Women here could be arrested or executed for just about all the same shit men could. Even rape, here a woman could be just as guilty for raping a guy as a guy could be of raping a woman and it usually had too be deeply investigated but the penalty could be as great as death, it was taken very seriously and even more so by the church. Even so, like all crime it still happened and a lot more often than you'd think. This world didn't have the technology we do, so it usually took a spell or two to prove anything. Talus had to admit though, rape should always be taken seriously at all times but this was a medieval timeline. That means if you were a slave you had no say what happened to you and here, in this world slavery was very much real and very much thriving. Especially the enslavement of other races, but thats always to be expected in a world like this one. ''Master Scree, your bath is ready sir.'' ''Awesome, have someone carry me over to it and drop me in'' ''Right away sir.'' Not long after the servant left the room a well built man who looked like he could be a pro bodybuilder would pick him up and carry him a few feet from his little bed and gently place him in the deep end of the marble stone bath and just wait in the corner of the room for him to be ready to get out. ’’This is such a nice bath…so relaxing…’’ The servant would just stay silent and watch over him, this guy was more or less his bodyguard, thanks to being a rock he could stay under water for as long as he wanted without getting all pruned. 6. After his bath, Talus Scree decided to take a nice relaxing nap for a few long dragged out hours and by the time he came too a beautiful Vezmal girl would be kneeling before the altar, by the way she was dressed it was likely she was a priestess and very likely from the same village. ‘’I see you’re finally awake young master, I didn’t want to disturb your rest so I’ve waited and watched over you as you slept.’’ She was watching me sleep? That’s so disturbing… He’d think these words before gathering his thoughts and making conversation. ‘’So…whats your name?’’ ‘’My name is Vyranna Mavenbrior, I am one of the disciples of High Priestess Everbloom.’’ ‘’Alright lady Mavenbrior…so why are you here?’’ ‘’Well, when you first met my teacher you requested a special divine item. We’ve managed to acquire it for you, but its more than what you asked for…once you use it you’ll be able to take any form you desire for as long as you’d like and will also be able to use any spell you learn without having to speak any chants or anything as well as without the use of an item. The goddess we prayed to thought that you were worth granting such a powerful item to, but she warned that once you use it it’ll become a part of you and can not be undone or taken back…she also said that she doesn’t know what other abilities or effects it may have as she didn’t care to test it out. She said you’ll need to find all that out on your own and deal with the negatives on your own, having heard all this…do you wish to accept this divine gift from the goddess of the forge?’’ ‘’Why wouldn’t I? I’m an immortal, indestructibly, living rock that nothing can destroy and my can’t be indestructibly altered or taken away. Just because I change my form does not mean I’ll lose any of my traits, so yes.’’ ‘’Very well…then allow me to give this to you. The item is very simple, it’s a symbol that once applied becomes a part of your very existence, I hope you are ready for it.’’ ‘’I very much am.’’ Vyranna would remove a transparent sticker of sorts from her pouch and stick it to the surface of the small black rock and it’d merge with him, the symbol on it glowing a bright and almost neon lava orange color. He didn’t feel any different but figured the best way to test things out was to hop off the altar and onto the floor so that he could shift into a different form and he’d do exactly that. A thick and heavy smoke would swirl around him until he couldn’t be seen and would soon rise up to a fairly decent height and width before clearing to reveal a naked male with shoulder length messy white hair and a heavy muscle tone, the glowing symbol now just below his shoulders and centered on his back, he looked very handsome and had bright lava colored pupils, his body was that of a human with the pointy ears of an elf and almond colored skin and black stony horns protruding from his head like a crown, though they were in fact horns they looked more like a circlet. On certain areas of his body there were stones that gave him the look of jewelry or even scales that rather than protrude from the skin seemed to almost be a part of it. The priestess would fall over, her face bright red and as she drooled like a perverted girl from any anime who just saw someone really hot in the nude. He’d turn to face her and would stare down at her and he could picture this scene in a manga with his junk being hidden somehow or something. ‘’Hey, priestess…snap out of it.’’ 7. [[8.]]
He’d think to himself that he wished he had a way to see a reflection of his body and a large mirror would materialize in front of him. ‘’Oh, that’s useful…must be one of those unknown abilities that were mentioned. Hey, I look good too…this body is very impressive…my voice sounds pretty cool as well. Vyranna was it? Thank you for giving me a body and a voice, but lets keep the fact I can take other forms a secret between us and the Church. Now, I’d much like to take a stroll through the village and have a look around, maybe try some food. Oh…wait…I suppose I don’t actually possess any funds do I?’’ Vyranna would try to collect herself as she listened to his words and though she was still blushing would respond in kind. ‘’You’re welcome for the gift, but it is the goddess you should thank not I. If its funds you need, the church can lend you some money since you are a divine being and anything you may need the church may provide as you were placed here by the god of creation, it would be wrong to refuse you. Just…lets get you dressed before we figure anything else out okay?’’ ‘’Oh…right…it would be weird for me to travel naked like this wouldn’t it. Alright then, but what do you think I should wear?’’ ‘’Usually, I’d respond in a situation like this by saying only the best clothes but you are a divine being and should dress as such…at least that’d be the case if you were to be open with the public about your new form…not that I’m against your choice to hide it. But sir, you should announce it to the world or at the very least your followers.’’ ‘’I may consider it, I don’t intend to keep it a secret forever and I’m still going to use my name so some people will most likely be able to put two and two together. But you’re right…I suppose I could at least let the people of this village know of this new form, once I’m dressed I’ll make a public announcement and show them proof if I must.’’ ‘’Than that’s that.’’ They had been heading to a room this whole time where all sorts of clothing and armor was stored and as they arrived inside Vyranna would clear her throat and look him in his eyes. ‘’You are free to wear anything you wish from this room, once you are dressed we’ll get you ready to make your new divine form known to the people of Vaarn Village.’’ ‘’Sounds good, I’ll be out soon.’’ ‘’I’ll send some of the servants to come help you dress.’’ ‘’I’d say I can do it myself…but I feel that’s an argument I won’t very well win…so go ahead.’’ She would leave him and he’d begin picking out outfits, he wanted to look really cool and maybe even give all the ladies something to look at so he’d have to pick something that showed a bit of skin but not in a very lewd way. It’d take him a while but he gathered some clothes and jewellery that’d give him the appearance of an almost Greek or Roman god from his world, a rather appealing combination of white and gold. The servants would enter the room and help him dress and once they were finished he looked pretty amazing, his chest was nearly exposed and his legs and thighs showed a rather simple amount of skin. _____________________________ Episode 3. _____________________________ Talus would stand before a large audience and they would listen well to what he had to tell them, he’d explain how he got this new form and prove that he was still a rock by nature. They would listen and most of them would both understand the situation and accept it as another blessing, after the big reveal he’d collect his money and take a look around the village, as he came around the corner of the Cathedral he was hit with so many mixing aromas and was curious where they were coming from. All the different scents, especially those of food would draw him into the market square where all sorts of stalls were setup and different things were being sold all around, he’d come across a stall that seemed to be selling skewered meats and veggies. These skewers had such things as peppers, onions and pineapple and meat of different varieties such as lamp, bison, deer, bear, boar and steak. He’d purchase a few of each and they’d be cooked up on the spot. The stand beside it sold freshly made juice made from some special fruit you couldn’t find in this country, 0r so the merchant seemed to proclaim. He’d buy a few large mugs of this special juice and sit down at a nearby stone table and enjoy his juice and skewers, everything tasted pretty great and the juice tasted like a combination of Dragon Fruit, Lychee, Mango and Pineapple. A very odd yet flavorful combination and it supposedly all came from one fruit that he’d absolutely have to ask about some time so he could try to get his hands on some. It all really hit the spot and he decided to look around a little more, honestly though…everyone tried to give him free stuff and he accepted some of it but felt bad and even ended up with so much stuff he had to purchase a small cart to pull it all around in. By the time he was done sight seeing he felt like he could really use a nap and he wanted to return to his pillow but an Inn Keeper would come across him and notice how tired he looked. ‘’Oh Divine Talus, you appear to be in need of a good rest and its getting late. I would be honored if you’d stay at my Inn for the night, you needn’t even pay and I’ll give you the best room available. What do you say?’’ ‘’I really couldn’t…’’ ‘’I insist, just one night.’’ He’d yawn as he seemed to examine the young lady, she looked pretty good and had to be about his age. ‘’Alright…I guess it couldn’t hurt very much. But what about all this stuff?’’ ‘’We’ll make sure any food stays as fresh as we can keep it using magic and keep any liquids refrigerated the same way, anything that isn’t food or drink we’ll just put up until you leave.’’ ‘’Sounds good then…alright, I’m pretty beat.’’ They’d make their way to Shepard’s Pass Inn where he’d be shown to his room and as promised it was pretty high class…like a room meant for straight up nobility, he wondered if this was truly alright and yet asked no questions as he let himself face plant into the bed and just laid there. He’d think to himself that this bed was in fact on par with his beloved pillow and soon after thinking those words he’d fall asleep, when next he awoke he’d feel something soft and squishy under his hand as he rolled over and so he’d open his eyes and he’d be surprised to find a young woman in a rather appealing night dress that left little to the imagination. ‘’Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Whats going on here?!’’ The young lady would open her eyes and yawn followed by a red face as she felt his hand on her breast, she’d slap him which would only hurt herself and she’d apologize before explaining the situation. ‘’Sorry, I was paid to keep you company last night so that maybe you’d enjoy your stay here a bit more…I would have woke you and asked you but you looked so peaceful as you slept…I didn’t want to disturb your rest.’’ 9. ‘’I suppose that makes more sense…they do worship me…’’ ‘’Well?…’’ ‘’Well what?’’ ‘’Are you going to do it with me or not?’’ ‘’Do it with you?’’ ‘’Do I need to spell it out for you? A few hours later they’d lay there naked and exhausted, her laying on his chest and him laying on his back etching this moment forever into his memory. Even in his previous life he had never gotten laid and here he was in this new life getting laid within the first few weeks of being in this new world, he had to admit he was fairly impressed with this. ‘’See…that was absolutely amazing wasn’t it? I was a bit scared and it hurt at first…but honestly, that wasn’t bad. If you ever start a harem you should consider making me one of your girls.’’ ‘’I’ll totally consider that…does this inn have a bath? Or a bathhouse?’’ ‘’Yeah, an open bathhouse where men and women can bathe together if they choose too. Maybe we should bathe together.’’ ‘’Please don’t joke like that…I don’t even know your name and we’ve already done it…’’ ‘’My name huh? Alright, I’ll tell you it. My name is Victoria Vinncae, hopefully I’ll see you around sometime.’’ She’d kiss his lips softly before getting up and getting some clothes on, after that she’d just leave without a word and Talus would lay there a bit longer before putting on his clothes and heading out his room and downstairs to inquire about the bathhouse and perhaps getting a servant to clean his clothes and they’d show him to the bath while also offering to take his clothes and have them cleaned while he bathed. He’d enjoy a nice refreshing bath in a natural indoor spring and would use it for as long as they allowed or at least until they had his clothes ready for him. When he was finished he’d check out and have them ready his things and once everything was loaded into a cart he’d be on his way back to the Cathedral, his clothes smelling pretty wonderful and his body giving off a lovely floral scent from the bath. While in his new room within the Cathedral he would learn that he had the natural ability to use creation magic and through it would create a few modern things from his time but highly altered to run using a magic stone filled with a large amount of mana, what he created was an AC Unit that fit the timeline and used the two elements of Ice and Fire to either make the room cold or hot and a Refrigerator that used ice and Light. The light light up the interior while the ice magic kept it cold enough inside to keep things such as liquids or meats very fresh for a while. It took him a few tries to make these but eventually he got it right. He’d be laying there in his new bed reading a book as someone knocked on the door. ‘’You may enter.’’ 10. [[11.]]
‘’Wow…I’m not sure why…but it feels nice in here.’’ ‘’Lady Everbloom? Its nice to see you.’’ ‘’No way, is that you Talus? I couldn’t tell from the new voice, and the new look…luckily I heard all about it before coming to see you. The villagers all find the new form a lot more agreeable as well…but will you be using it all the time? I rather like your true self…’’ ‘’Don’t sound so sad, of course I’m not going to stay like this forever. There are plenty of perks to being a rock and I intend to keep those perks, I’m just enjoying this form as much as I can for as long as I can. It gets fairly boring being a rock, I can’t do everything you mortals can while I’m a rock…there are many joys I have taken away from me in that form.’’ ‘’I understand then, now…tell me how you’ve changed the temperature of this room. I’m very curious, you don’t seem to be using any magic of your own…’’ ‘’That’s because I’m not, I created a device with advanced creation magic that alters the temperature of a room over time, it runs using a mana stone filled to the max with mana. I made a similar device that stays cold enough on the inside to keep food and drink fresh for weeks at a time.’’ ‘‘And those really work? What do you call these creations?’’ ‘’The temperature altering one we can call an Air Conditioner, the other one we can call a Fridge…I understand those names may seem a bit odd…but you’ll get used to them if I decide to share these creations with the world.’’ ‘’If? I don’t think it should even be a matter of “If” but rather a matter of “When”, these devices may seem minor and of little importance to you…but they’d change everything…you shouldn’t just keep them to yourself…but I will not judge you if you choose to do so.’’ ‘’I suppose I could start making some to sell, nobility would kill to get their hands on them and the fridge along would change everything about storing food and drinks. Have you ever even had an ice cold drink? Here, try this juice I’ve been keeping in there and tell me what you think of it.’’ He’d pull some of that special fruit juice from the fridge, it’s liquid was contained in a special glass jug he had made with a lid and everything and he’d poor it into a fancy glass before handing it to her. She’d look at it for a second, the cold cup chilling her hands and after a few moments of silence would drink from the glass. ‘’Wow…that is so much more refreshing…and so cold…I love it!’’ ‘’As I knew you would, nothing beats an ice cold beverage…especially in this heat. Summer is almost over though, so it should be cooling down soon.’’ ‘’So, I heard you took a look around our village and spent the night with a virgin…please be careful who you lay with.’’ ‘’Why? I can’t catch anything.’’ ‘’Well no…but I’m afraid the wrong person may try to accuse you of something…’’ ‘’I’ll be careful then, but these people seem to really like me so I don’t see anyone here doing such a thing at the current time. Anyways, what did you wish to speak with me about? Someone as important as you couldn’t have simply stopped by to say hi. ‘’I came to see how you’re adjusting and to make sure you’ve been keeping your end of our deal, I hear great things about you but I want to hear it from you.’’ ‘’Yes, I’ve been keeping my routine of acting as an object of worship…but on my own schedule. I let them come visit me at my shrine early in the morning until a little after noon than the rest of the day is all mine. Essentially, I treat it like a full time job.’’ ‘’That’s basically what I’ve heard as well, that’s fine I suppose. So, would you like to go somewhere soon? Maybe the Holy Capital or something?’’ ‘’Actually…yes, I would like to see the big city.’’ ‘’Excellent, than you may take time off and go at your discretion…I haven’t been there myself in a years now, it’s a rather long travel and takes a few days…so be prepared when you head out and make sure you’re always ready for an attack as the roads are dangerous sometimes.’’ ‘’No need for concern, I’ll be able to take care of any idiot dumb enough to attack me and whoever is traveling with me…that being said…if you send someone with me then I’d highly suggest sending guards to protect them if something does happen. The gift that goddess gave me lets me use and learn magic and without chanting or any of that nonsense and I’m fairly certain I can handle a blade, I have been trained in the way of combat and even if I hadn’t been I’m fairly certain my fists pack quite a punch because in this form I’m about 400lbs of muscle due to being a rock in a humanoid form.’’ ‘’Fair point…alright, then you may leave when you see fit and are free to take anyone you so wish. The entire trip will be fully paid for by the Church regardless of who goes. Come see priestess Mavenbrior when you’ve gathered whoever you’ll be taking with you so that we may give them proof that whatever they are buying or doing is being paid for by the church, this will be in the form of a special necklace or bracelet only members of the Church wear and are allowed to wear. In your case your armlets and necklace already has our symbol on it, yours is different though as the last time you sent your outfit to be washed I had the jewelry engraved with the emblem of the Divines marking you as a Divine being, this doesn’t really mean a god…by being a Divine being you are more like a lesser god or even a demigod but even so that makes you a very important person. Simply put, anything you do directly affects the Church. You’ll also never want for anything as everything will be given to you by the Church and its followers, kinda like a spoiled little princess.’’ ‘’Real funny…but that’s good to know. What happens if I go to war with someone?’’ ‘’Than that someone made a huge mistake, by going to war with you they are going to war with us and no one is that dumb…or so you’d think…’’ ‘’People are idiots, someone is always stupid enough to fight a god. It could happen…’’ ‘’Well, its been lovely talking with you Talus, but I should probably get back to my duties. I’ll be seeing you.’’ ‘’Yeah, I’ll see ya.’’ Myrinna would leave the room and he’d lay there remembering how much he missed TV, Social Media and Video Games…but this was his life now and he’d have to simply accept that. Even if he could use creation to create those things from his world he wouldn’t be able to get them perfect or even the same and that’s if he could even make them. He was forced to find entertainment in other forms, maybe he could reinvent certain sports or learn how to gamble…he had to do something about his boredom. He’d put his book down and fall asleep, maybe he’d find something fun to do tomorrow but right now sleep was really calling his name. 12. [[13.]]
