”I had the nagging feeling that time was of the essence, so I chose to scurry outside of the lair and stepped into the hallway. I had made the mistake of concentrating too intensely on my investigation and ended up being surprised by what appeared to be a group of the Boss' minions.
Luckily I managed to swallow a spooked quack and keep my cool. I interrogated one of them to see if I was able to make more sense of what went down here.”

From the door a trail of a messy struggle lead to the Hero and the Boss fighting in the distance. Exactly equal in strength they had been at it for months, attacking and parrying like it was a dance of sorts. I guess this is what happens when an immovable object meets an unstoppable force.
It became clear to me now that the Hero had entered the mansion with the intent to destroy the Boss. The hero made their way to to the Boss with reckless abandon – using all of the tricks in the book, power ups and the likes. Based on the Hero's hand writing and fighting stance it seemed like the Hero also had a penchant for min-maxing.
I had no intention of interrupting them – I'd only get in the way. It was time to make my way back to The Developers, report my findings and cash my check so I turned on my heels. This mansion must have a liquor cabinet somewhere and I, if anyone, deserved a drink.

I discovered a pair of footprints parting ways from the door – One set belonged to the Hero and the other to the Boss. Judging from the pressure and the angle of the prints they had parted in amicable terms and there were clear signs of a handshake. I knew this meant only one thing: Instead of a fight they had struck a deal, clearly involving a generous amount of money.
The Hero had obviously entered the mansion for a business meeting. Based on the Boss' handwriting on the calendar they had been messaging for weeks already, ironing out the details. The meeting had been mutually beneficial and good for business. It was hard to see who came out on top.
As they both must have crossed the border already I had no intention of tracking them down further. I decided to report back to The Developers and cash my check, so I turned on my heels. This mansion must have a liquor cabinet somewhere and I, if anyone, deserved a drink.

It was clear what went down back inside. The hero had entered the mansion like a harlot in heat with the single purpose of getting down and dirty with the Boss. Based on the angle of the handwriting on the postcard, it seemed like the Hero was very fertile so there will probably be many weird children.
