An Unlucky Day By Anthony Joseph Vatalare [[Start| Intro Page 1]] New York City is always bustling at this time of the day but I try to make sure I can avoid the areas with high concentration of other people getting to their destination. I notice a small group of people forming in front of me staring at something. I turn to see that another apartment has the door knocked down and is surrounded by police cars. A small perimeter is being formed around it as a police man starts to direct the traffic that is forming around the road. The New York City government implemented a new system that basically controls what is going on. The government has a camera set up on every major intersection and every street light to watch in case there is something unwanted going on during the evenings. The new program they implemented manages to look at all the records of the people in the city and figures out which person might start to cause trouble. They will go through school records, police records, and job history. Once they find someone that might cause trouble, the police will go and confront the person before they cause the act. The algorithm isn’t foolproof as it targets citizens that hasn’t done anything wrong or falsely claims that they are going to do something wrong. The police grab a man out of the house who is resisting arrest. He tries to break out but one of the officers knocks him out with his club. Brute force is alright now as long as it doesn’t kill the person and it can subdue them faster. I look at the lamp post that is next to me and notice the camera recording the entire ordeal. I get back onto my bike and continue with the trek. I don’t want to get stuck in line at the post office for too long. I have a lot of work to do. [[Next |Intro part 3]] I arrive to the Post office to notice a long line forming inside. It looks like I need to wait. I might as well get in line and start this long wait. I find a short line and stand behind the last person. She seems to be jamming to some new song on her iPod. Upon notice, she is wearing skull candy headphones over her short black hair. She looks like she tans often and exercises from her athletic build. I don't want to look like a creep and stare at her show I look around the room. My eyes setteled on the camera above me as I watch it scan the location. I notice it land on me and I look away from it. I don’t want to arouse suspicion or else the program will think I’m up to no good and then my ass will be in jail. The way the government watches over us… [[For it]] [[Against it]] “Next!” the clerk called out. I snapped out of my thought and notice that I was the next person in line. I walk to him and show him my identification. The guy shakily grabs my ID and search for my package. It looks like he is on edge about something. With the way the government watches people, I wouldn’t be surprise if he is afraid of getting arrest any second. He drops a small package on the table and gives it to me. He-He-Here’s your package sir,” the clerk shakily said. “Thank you.” I grab my package and make my way outside. I walk to the bike racks and notice that my bike is missing. I look around the area to see if I went to the wrong bike rack but it turns out that my bike is in nowhere in sight. Someone stole my bike again. This isn’t the first time that this happened but I usually call the cops and they make sure it is found. I might as well walk home and call the cops from there. I proceed to walk down the path towards my house. [[Next |intro part 5]] I decide to run away from the cops. I feel that they were going to arrest me anyway from the way they approach me. I noticed there was an alleyway to the left of me. I ran away from the cops towards wherever this alleyway was taking me. I can hear shouts and obscenities coming from behind me as they chase me. I try not to look behind me because I may never know if I run into someone or tripped over. I come to an opening in the alleyway to see that there is a large crowd of people walking down the street. I look around the area to see if there is another alleyway for me to take. A siren goes off to the left of me and I see it’s another cop car coming towards me. I have to get away from them before they box me in. [[Next |Run away from cops 2]] I decide to trust the cops. I’m sure that this is all a misunderstanding. “Sure, I'll answer your questions. Also, there are two people following me and…” I didn’t finish my sentence as the cop proceeds to cover my mouth with a rag. I don’t know what was on that rag but I pass out immediately. [[Next |captured part 1]] “Hey!” a feminine voice shouted. “Person with the box!” I look around and notice that it is the same girl that was in front of me in the post office. “Follow Me!” She starts running into the crowd. I have no choice but to follow her unless I wanna spend the rest of my life in jail. I turn towards the right and start to run into the crowd of people. I make sure to keep my eyes on the girl. I don’t wanna lose sight of her. She makes another right into a different alleyway. I make a sharp turn as to not lose my momentum. I don’t wanna give the cops an opening. I run as fast as I can through the twists and turns the alley presents to me. I make it into a fork in the road and I lost sight of the girl. I notice that on the left there is a manhole cover but it leads to a dead end. The cover seems to be off. On the right, there is an open crowd of people and I might be able to blend into the area. I must make a choice or else I might get caught. [[Go towards the manhole cover |follow the girl 1]] [[Go towards the street |Wrong way]]you start to follow the girl but you get stuck with a choice of choosing two points. one point will leave you to her and you will go down the sewer. The other point will have you get caught in a dead end and you will get captured by the cops. I wake up in an unfamiliar white room. There is a table right in front of me. I try to move my arms and hands but I can’t. I turn my head around to notice that my hands are handcuffed to the chair. I don’t know what the cops did to me and now I want to get out. Worry creeps into me as I wonder what plans the police have for me. I wasn’t doing anything wrong. I wanted to pick up my package and that was all. After who knows how long, I see a Caucasian man walk into the room. He was wearing a similar cop uniform to the ones I saw only he is more decorated than the other two I met outside. He has a pair of black sunglasses on. He walks over to me and sits down in the chair opposite of me. “Do you know why we brought you in?” He asks as he stares, at least I assume he is, into my eyes. I’m very uncomfortable under his gaze. “I don’t know sir. I was just walking back from the post office and two police officers came up to me. I decided to go with them.” My foot keeps tapping during the entire conversation. I did nothing wrong. “Do you know this girl?” He pulls out a picture of a girl. She has short black hair, athletic build, tan skin, and a pair of skull candy headphones. She is the same girl from the post office “Yes I do, I saw her at the post office.” “Do you know anything else about her?” he is still staring at me. “No I don’t sir.” I replied. I don’t know what else he wants from me. I don’t know that girl. He stares at me for a good hard minute and gets up. [[Next |captured part 2]] I decide to go towards the alleyway with the manhole cover. I make my way to the manhole and climb down the ladder. I make sure before I reach the bottom that I seal the manhole cover so that the cops won’t find us. I get down to the small pathway that is by a river of sewage. Great, the sewers. I always wanted to be here. “Are you alright?” I turn around to notice that it was the girl I was trying to catch up to. “Yea” I pause to take a deep breath to calm myself. “I’m fine.” “Do you have the package?” The package? Oh yea my package. I forgot I was carrying this thing with me. “Yea I have the package. Why do you ask? Wait a minute, who are you? Do you know why the cops are following me?” “You probably have a lot of question but I will answer them when we get to a safe location. Just hold onto the package as it is very important. What’s so important about computer parts? I want to ask her but so far she is the only one that can help. I might as well wait till we are somewhere safe. Those cops could be around here any time now. “Just follow me and make sure you stay behind. I know where to take you for help.” She reassured me. [[Next |Follow the girl 2]] The sewers are damp and they reek. Granted, sewers aren’t supposed to smell of fresh cut grass and new car smell. This girl in front of me isn’t fazed by this. The cops are chasing us and now I’m a wanted person. She just comes out of nowhere and saves me. She looks like an average girl. I take another look at her. She is wearing cargo shorts with a small stripped shirt. She just seems to be calm and thinks this is normal for her. Maybe she is a wanted criminal as well. Maybe she is… “Stop” She commanded me. I stopped in front of what looks like just an average path. “Be very careful, there are traps here.” “Why are there traps here?” I asked her, confused as to the reason why there are traps in the sewers. “In case there are unwanted people trying to get access to our base.” She replied as she carefully walks over the tripwire. I follow suit as to not fall set up the trap. “Who’s base, and define ‘our’?” “I said save your questions,” she shushed me. She walks around the area and avoids stepping on a certain section of the floor. It looks like she stepped on the right side of the flooring to avoid it. “Be careful there is a fake floor there with spikes underneath it.” She warns me. I follow the same path she took and step over the area. We come to another section and notices it has a keypad on it. She starts pressing buttons but I make sure I remember her button inputs. 22475 is the password she enters and a secret wall opens up revealing a long well lit hallway. She enters and I follow suit. I don’t know where she is taking me but I don’t want to be left to rot in the sewers. [[Next |Follow the girl 3]] “Okay we are…wherever we are. Can you please tell me what the hell is going on?” I ask with my fear rising that I might have fallen into a trap by the government. I don’t know where this place is or why it’s here. "Since we kinda dragged you into this mess, I might as well tell you.” We enter into a center area that has a few people walking around it. There is a large computer screen that shows a feed of what is going on in certain areas. One of the areas is the post office. He seems to ignore us come in and continue with the work. A male that seems to be in a lab coat with brown pants comes in through the other area rushing in as if there is something important he needs to do. “Samantha’s not back!” He panicked. “We need the package in order to…” he turns around to notice what I assume is Samantha and me. I nervously wave back to him. He looks at her and then at me. “The package!” he exclaims. He rushes towards me and snatches the package out of my hand. “Uh…sure? I didn't need it anyway?” I replied not knowing what was important about my package and why he needs it. I directed my attention towards Samantha. “Can you answer my questions now? I would like to know what I got dragged into. “Well that’s simple. We are the resistance movement that is trying to overthrow the current government. All of us are sick and tired of the government tracking our every move and assuming that we are up to no good when in reality we have done nothing wrong and are just indiscriminately arresting the citizens. We are tired from their tyrannical overrule of the people and we demand freedom.” She explained. “Okay that explains the group of people here but what’s in the package?” I wonder, “It’s just computer stuff.” “Actually it’s a device that can send an EMP blast and disrupt the government’s entire security system.” The lab guy said. “Yea, also that’s Tyler out technical expert,” Samantha added. “Okay so where does that leave me? Last time I check I got chased by the police force.” I really hope that I’m not in trouble for this. Granted I can assume that running away from the cops made me look guiltier now that I think about it. “Well you can join the resistance and help us over throw the government that is trying to control your life.” She enthusiastically said. “We need more able body people in helping us. You must join us.” Well now that I know what I just did which was aided a resistance group in getting a deadly device. Well it isn't deadly but can do some damage to the computer systems. I’m an accessory to aiding the overthrow of the government and that might put me into a lot of trouble. I can work with them and potentially help overthrow this tyrannical government but if we fail then I will be sent to jail to rot. If I don’t agree with them, they might let me go and I can return to my apartment. I might have to be faced with the police force because they have pictures of my face. What should I do, join the resistance or ask to leave and face my chances with the police. [[Join the resistance]] [[Decline the offer |Go back home 1]] “We still have more questions for you. We will keep you here for the night and continue this tomorrow. He leaves the room as another officer replaces him to get me. He removes the handcuffs from my arms and grabs my arms. He takes me out of the room and moves me to a different location of the police station. He leads to where the jail cells are. He pushes me into the cell as I stumble in. I hear the clanking of the my cell door being locked and leaves me to myself. I don’t know how I got into this mess. I was just minding my own business and picked up my package. Maybe it has to do with the girl he showed me. I never saw her before except in line at the post office. That was it. I should just behave myself and just wait till tomorrow. It is all just a misunderstanding. I get up onto the stiff coat and lay down on it. It isn’t comfy but as soon as I sit down I start drifting off to sleep. I was awoken with the clanking of my cell doors being unlocked. I look around to notice a police officer standing right in front of me. I guess it might be time for breakfast. The guard opens my door and enters my room. I look up at the guard and notice who the guard really is. It’s the girl from the post office. “Hi, I’m here to bail you out of jail.” She quietly tells me. “What do you mean? And who are you?” I don’t know if I want to get into more trouble than I am already in. This chick seems bad news. “Well I feel bad for getting you locked in jail so I’m trying to get you out. You can stay if you want but this is your only chance at freedom from this tyrannical government.” She passionately whispers to me. I don’t know what to do now. I should follow her if this is the only chance at getting out of here but it can back fire. I could wait out for the police chief and talk to him in the morning. I don’t know what to do. [[Go with the Girl |Get out of jail 1]] [[Decline the offer |ENDING: STAY IN JAIL]] I decided to stay in jail. I didn’t want to get into more trouble. “Thanks but no thanks, I rather stay in here and not get into trouble” I answered. She shrugs her shoulders. “Oh well, have fun in jail. She gets up and leaves my jail cell. She locks the door and leaves me alone. I go back to sleep and wait for morning to come. I wake up in the morning and was greeted by a cop. He unlocks my cell and takes me to a different area of the station. “You are free to go. It turns out that there was a misunderstanding as you were just a bystander in our goal of capturing the real culprit” He takes me to the front of the station and releases me from their custody. I walk outside knowing that the only way to be free was to comply with the cops. I walk back feeling better and returning back to the comfort of my home. News Report: A van was blown up in the middle of the night as it was driving. We try to identify the bodies but they are burned beyond repair. We believe that these are rebels who have been trying to overthrow the government. We haven’t gotten news on what was the cause but we will find out as soon as we can. [[Start]] This is the only chance I have at escaping this cell.“I’ll go with you” I answered. She clenches her fist in a triumphant manor. “That’s the ticket. Let’s get you out of here.” She puts me in handcuffs and grabs my arm forcefully. “I'll need to do this in order to convince the other officers that I’m transferring you.” I nod in agreement to her plan. She starts moving me across the corridor of the station. We make it through alright since there aren’t that many officers in here at night. We go to the front desk and notice an officer doing paperwork there. “Where do you think you are going with the suspect.” the officer scrutinizes. “I’m transferring this vermin to a different station,” She says in a commanding voice. “I got orders from the chief himself to take him there.” The officer starts to anaylize her statement. We might be in real trouble here. “Do you have any documentation to show me this transfer?” “Yea I just told you. An officer of the law must have honor when doing his or her job!” she starts to raise her voice and get closer to the officer. “So if you want me to drag the chief from an important duty he is on to go talk to you, then he will rip ya a new one for hindering his search. Do I make myself clear!” The guard starts to back off and gives in. “Alright, alright,” He nervously states. “I was just making sure. I don’t want to get in trouble myself. You can go.” We leave the station and start walking down the streets till we make it into a black van. She opens the back and pushes me in there. [[Next |Get out of jail part 2]] “That was a very convincing statement,” I complimented her as she undo my wrist from the handcuffs. She gets them free as I move my arms to get the feeling back. “Thanks, I have to convince them in order to get you free.” She moves towards the front to where someone is sitting at the driver seat. “Did Bryan come back with the package yet?” The driver responds in an annoyed tone, “He should be back anytime now. Just be patient.” As if on cue, a guy comes in with a similar brown package I had from the post office. "See I told you." “Got the stuff, let’s go.” He tells the rest of us as he closes the door behind him. The driver starts driving to wherever our destination is. I think this is the perfect time to go talk to this mysterious girl. “So, who are you people?” I ask. “The chief showed me a picture of you back at the station. “Oh, well first my name is Samantha and these guys are Bryan and Clark.” She points to the people as she mentions their names. “We are part of a rebel group trying to stop the government from creating a dictatorship and controlling the people of this city.” “Well I can see why the cops would be after you,” I hear a ticking sound. It is probably just something wrong with the car as no one else notices it. “I know. If you are trying to overthrow the government, the cops won’t take too kindly to that, obviously.” “Then the package is really important for your cause?” I ask unsure about what they can do with my computer stuff. “We have an EMP bomb in the package that will shut down a section of the cities electricity and camera systems. We will catch them off guard as we make way to overthrow the government.” The ticking noise got louder and I’m pretty sure that it’s coming from the package. “Is the package supposed to be ticking?” I ask unsure how this EMP bomb works. “It isn’t supposed to be ticking.” Worry is plastered all over Samantha’s face as she goes over to the package. She grabs the box and opens it. We all look inside to see what the cause of this noise is. We look and notice it looks like a weird box with a timer on it. The time says there is 10 something’s left and continues to count down. We all realize that what is in here is a bomb and it was too late. The bomb reaches zero and the bomb explodes killing all of us in the process. News Report: A van was blown up in the middle of the night as it was driving. We try to identify the bodies but they are burned beyond repair. We believe that these are rebels who have been trying to overthrow the government. We haven’t gotten news on what was the cause but we will find out as soon as we can. GAME OVER. [[Start]] “I’m sorry but I rather face my chances with the cops if you don’t mind me.” I answered after much consideration. Samantha just shrugs at my response. “It’s your choice. Now we just have to take you back outside” She goes to Tyler and asks him for something. I didn’t hear what she asked. He leaves for a few minutes and comes back with a rag. “I think I spilled coffee on this, can you please smell it if it’s true?” He holds the rag to my face and I take a sniff of it. My mind is now spinning and my vision is fading. I black out. [[Next |Go Home 2]] I might as well stay with the resistance. I'm already in deep trouble by the cops so I might as well just go all in. I have no other choice. Good bye simple life. Hello to life on the run from cops. “I’ll join the resistance.” I finally answered. Samantha let go of her breath. She looks relieved to hear my answer. “Thank god you are joining us. Well I think it’s time for a tour of the area to get you familiar with the location.” “If it’s any consolation, I would rather lie down right now. I’m tired from all that running from earlier and I need to just rethink my life for a second.” I could really use this break right now. My adrenaline stopped and I finally get hit with a rush of fatigue. “I’ll show you to the living quarters.” Samantha took the hallway to the west. I follow her as she takes me around the long maze like structure that is the rebel base. We manage to get lost a few times, running into a few areas along the way. We manage to go to the weapons room, the technology room, and even a storage room for food and certain supplies. We made it into the living quarters to see that there is no one here at the moment. They are probably busy. I go over to a bed and lie down. I hope whoever’s bed it is won’t mind me using it. “I’ll leave you be.” Samantha said and left the living quarters, the door giving an audible click as it was closed. I instantly fell asleep once she left as my body felt the soreness of the running catch up to it. [[Next |Join the resistance 2]] You decide to decline the offer after breaking out of jail and was dropped out at a random location for you to find out where to go now. You start to walk on your way home and try to find the location but you get ambushed by a group and are knocked unconscious. You wake up in a familiar setting and realize you are back at the police station. You are met with the same person who interrergated you before. You are asked more questions but don't know what to say except you want to go back to a normal life. The guy leaves and comes back by giving you an ultimatum. You either choose to rat out the resistance location or you don'tyou decide to not give up the location and you are sent to rot in jail for the rest of your lifeYou agree with the offer and tell them that you really had no choice but to go with it in hopes of going back to normal lifestyle. You decide to go tell them where the location is as they give you a set of locations where they assume where the rebel base is. Give a huge list of locations and the player will choose which one. If they get it wrong then they will get a bad ending. You went to the right location and the place seems to be filled with troops and takes down the rebels. The rebel base is destroyed and you are taken back to the police car with the head officer. He comends you for your bravery and in destroying the rebel scum that was going to take down this government. you get out at a certain location and notice it isn't your house or the station. you turn around to see the cop holding a gun against your head. he says it's nothing personal and shoots you. Double-click this passage to edit it. I wake up in the middle of a dark and poorly lit alleyway. I can’t tell what is going on. Oh yea…the rebel base. They knocked me out and now I’m in the middle of who knows where. I walk out of the alley way to find a sense of location. To the right is the post office. Well at least I know where I am. I can at least get home from here now. I started walking towards the direction of my house. The city use to be filled with people at any time of the day. The mayor decided to put in a city wide curfew to prevent anyone from doing anything bad at night. The only people exempt from these curfews are people who have a working permit to be working at this time. So the only areas filled with people are the construction areas. I just hope the cops don’t find me out here. I manage to reach my house no problem at all. I make my way up the stairs and I hear sirens go off in the distance. I turn around and notice a cop car driving towards me. I pray that they aren’t coming for me but I’m not that lucky. They pull up right in front of my house. “Put your hands up!” they demanded. I slowly put them up for fear of not wanting to get shot. They grab my arms as one of the police office reads off my Miranda Rights while the other puts a pair of handcuffs on me. I get shoved into the car so I remain silent for the rest of the ride. I’m afraid of what they are going to do to me. [[ Next |Go Home 3]] I decided to keep my mouth shut. I’m not ratting them out. I know this will lead me into more trouble but I rather have honor above anything else. “Not talking anymore eh?” Police chief gets up from the table. “We gave you a choice. Have fun in jail.” He leaves and is replaced by another officer. The officer undos my handcuff’s and grabs my arms forcefully. She takes me out of the room and into a jail cell. She locks my cell doors and leaves me in there to rot. Maybe I should have said something. No! I made the right choice and I am sticking by it. In the next couple of days, the chief try to get me to spill the location of the safe house but I didn’t budge. One day, he was called out of his office to answer a call. It must have been good since he didn’t ask me anymore questions afterwards. I was taken to court and was charged with perjury and withholding information from the cops. I was sent to prison for the next few years where I will rot in there to this day. GAME OVER [[Start]] I have no other choice. I have to rat them out if I am going to go back to a normal lifestyle. “I’ll talk” The cop gives me a triumphant grin as he got the information he wanted. Over the next hour or two, I tell them the location of the rebel base. The chief gathers a group of men including me and get into a larger police van. They each are wearing body armor as well as carrying a weapon with them. I’m just sitting in the same clothes I was wearing except I don’t have handcuff on me this time. They go to the sewer entrance I told them about. One of the officers opens the manhole cover and climbs down the ladder. Everyone follows his lead. Once everyone made it down, they put me in front and everyone else follows me. I know where to go from here. We get to the last turn and made it to what I think should be the location. There is something important I need to remember about this place. But what is it. [[ Tell them to stop]] [[Keep Going]] You must remember the locations of the booby traps in it and how to disable it. If you don't remember any of it then they will explode and you will die from it. If you do disable them all then the group will successfully inflitrate the location and leave. The city is always loud at this time during the day. I make sure my apartment door is locked before leaving. I don’t want to make that mistake again. The afternoon is always bustling with cars and people. It doesn’t help that it’s the lunch rush. I might hit into crowded sidewalks on the way home. I take a deep breath in and start to cough. The air isn’t really pure in this part of the city. I go over and unlock the lock that was on the bike chain. The sun is shining up above the sky bright at this time of the day. I might as well put on some sunglasses. I don’t want to be riding into poles again. I take out the pair of black sunglasses from my pocket and put them on. I get on my bike and start making my way to the post office. I got a notification about a package I ordered to fix my computer. It is currently at the post office. I need to pick it up in order to continue working on a customer’s order. I head towards the downtown area to go pick up the package. I make sure to avoid anyone riding or walking so I won’t get in trouble with the cops. [[Next |Intro part 2]] I don’t mind it at all. I don’t really like the way that the government invades our privacy and looks into our stuff but they are using is for good. Our crime rate has dropped and there is less violence in the street. Sure there are a few crimes here and there but our police force stops most of them in their tracks. The cameras actually deter people from starting any new crimes for fear of getting caught. [[Next |Intro part 4]] I really don’t like this way. It oppresses the people and makes them worry about if the cops are going to show up one day. Hell, I try my best not to worry if what I’m doing is illegal. I could be buying some power tools and then the cops will come to my house for fear of using power tools for illegal purposes. I really wish they would stop and be more lenient of the people. I get that they are trying to keep us safe but at the cost of our freedom but I really wish someone would stop them from this over watch terror. [[Next |Intro part 4]] After walking down a few blocks, I get the strange feeling that I’m being followed. I look behind me and noticed that there are people walking all around me. It must be the paranoia from all these cameras around. you always feel that you are being watched because of them. I start walking again. One more block later, I get the same feeling again. I look around and try to find out if I am being followed. I turn around and notice something that I saw before. Two people behind me having a conversation and stopping in the middle of the sidewalk. I decided to put this theory to the test. I continue to walk down another block and pick up my phone and pretend I am talking to someone. I look around the area to make sure I see the same two people around me. They are still there pretending to mingle. I put the phone away but walk right into two police officers in front of me. I didn't notice them walk up to me. “Hello there citizen, we have a few questions to ask you,” the officer said. He looks very intimidating and probably assumes I’m doing something ill will or that I will cause trouble. I haven’t done anything wrong and so they might have seen the guy that took my bike. I should go with them and figured out who stole my bike. I should mention to them about the two people that are following behind me. On the other hand, they might try to do terrible stuff to me and arrest me without a cause or reason. I don’t know what I should do at this moment. [[Go with the cops |Go with the cops]] [[Run Away from them |Run away from cops part 1]] I don’t know what happen during my time I was asleep but a siren was going off in the rebel base. I wake up with a startle, unsure of what was going on. I didn’t know what was happening so I just got up and head to the door. I see people rushing back around the hallway going into the different areas. Some of them had guns with them. I see Samantha coming my way. “What’s going on,” I asked. She gave me a confused look. Maybe the sirens are too loud for her to hear me. “What’s going on?” I yelled. Maybe she heard me that time. “Someone in our base was a traitor. We don’t know who but he just started shooting people. We are trying to subdue him but it looks like he…” A gun shot went off. She didn’t finish that statement as she fell onto the cold hard ground. A pool of blood started to form. My body is rapidly shaking as I start to sweat a lot. I don’t want to die. I don’t know who he is but that doesn’t matter. He has a gun right in front of me. “Sorry you got involved in all this mess. You just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.” He cocks the gun and shoots me. I fall down on the ground right next to Samantha; into the pool of blood. My vision starts to go as I hear the door closing. That bastard… News Report: We have just recieved A statement from the police chief as he is saying that the operation was a complete success. There was an agent that was placed in a rebel base that had plans to overthrow the government. We received word that the people in there were violent and the officer that was in there manage to subdue all of them. We will receive more word on the people that was involved with the rebel group. [[Start]] After 10 minutes of driving, we made it to a police station. One of the officers grabs my arm and drags me into the station. They go through the normal procedure of arresting an individual. They take my picture and my fingerprints. They strip search me to see if I have any weapon on me. Once that was finished, they put me in a room with a mirror in it. It could also be a one way mirror. I’m going to jail. I knew that would happen. I’m getting arrested and I’m going to spend the rest of my time in jail. I spend who knows how long in the room. I see a Caucasian man walk into the building. He was wearing a similar cop uniform only he is more decorated than the other two that brought me in. He has a pair of black sunglasses on. “What were you doing late at night?” He interrogated me. “I was on my way home.” I replied truthfully. I don’t want to get into more trouble than I am already am. “Where were you before?” Trick question now. I don’t know if I should answer him truthful. I decide to not answer at all. He stands up very quickly, causing the chair to fall down. He slams his hands on the table separating us. “Are you working for the rebels?” His tone is full of disgust as if the mention of rebels makes him want to vomit. “I’m not working with them.” I reply back nervously. I don’t want them to pin me with them. A police officer comes in with a manila folder in his hand. “Here are the photo’s you wanted sir.” He hands them to his superior. The chief takes it and dismisses the lower rank officer. He places the folder on the table and opens them up. “Care to explain these then.” He stares at me as he opens it the folder, knowing that he already seen the contents of the folder. I stare in utter shock as I look at the photos. They are all me and Samantha running away from the cops and earlier from the post office. I turn my head down into a defeated state. I knew they got me corner. “Yes that is me.” “Well I thought so.” He closes the folder back up and puts it to the side. “Now I can do something special for you. You can tell us where the location of the rebel base as we know you were there already and set you free. If you say no to it, then we will let you rot in here for the rest of your life. What’s it going to be?” Well now I have a choice to make. I can work with the police to capture the rebel base and return back to my house. I can go back to a normal life without the worry of the cops for a while. I also don’t want to be a rat and tell the cops where they are. The rebels do have a point that the government is overbearing and is trying to regulate what we do. What choice should I make? [[Rat them out |Rat out the location 1]] [[Don't say anything |ENDING SAY NOTHING]] “Stop this area is booby trap!” I shouted. They stop. I look around the area and notice a small thin wire. I warn them about it and climb over the wire. Every other office climbs over the rope carefully. Now the next area has a trap as well. I remember it has a trap floor but it was in a certain area. I don’t know which spot is safe. It was between the left panel, the center panel, and the right panel. Which panel to choose? [[Left |wrong panel]] [[Center |wrong panel]] [[Right |right panel]]It probably isn’t important. I should continue walking. I walked and felt a piece of string break against my leg. An explosion goes off from under me kills me in an instant. GAME OVER [[Start]] I walk forward and fall down into the hole. I’m impaled by the spikes that are at the bottom. I’m losing blood rapidly and my vision is fading. I blackout within the next minute. [[Start]] I tell them to take the right side. The rest of the area is unsafe. We all make it across to the final section. I open up the panel and try to remember the password. What is the password for this area? I should remember it. The chief gets in front of the group and starts commanding them. “I want all of you to capture every rebel scum alive. If they fight back then shoot back or kill them. It doesn’t matter to me as long as we capture some of them!” The rest of the force goes into the hallway. I start to hear gunfire and yelling in there. The chief grabs my shoulder and turns me around. His face is still as unemotional as before. “You did your city proud kid. Now I got something important to talk to you about back there”. I started to lead him back towards the other way. I remember to take the safe side for the hidden spike trap. Then I feel a shove and I fall into the hidden spike trap. I screamed in pain as I was impaled by the spikes. That bastard of a police chief knocked me in. He wanted no witnesses. My vision is fading. I blackout. News Report: We have gotten word that a raid on the rebel base was a complete success. They have managed to subdue most of the members of the group as well as capture their leader. They were tipped off on the location by an anonymous source. They manage to locate the base in the sewers that were filled with traps but managed to avoid them. We will tell you more on the members once we get more word from the police station. Game Over [[Start]] I decided to run towards the end of this alley way. I can see the street from here. The other way is just a dead end. I would be wasting my time going from there. I run out into the open only to see a cop car pull up right in front of me. I turn around and head back to the way I came only this time I see a pair of cops behind me. It looks like they corner me and now I’m captured. One of the cops manages to go from behind and knock me out cold.
