n You are about to enter a world. A world that has been destroyed by climate change.
n What is climate change you may ask?
b Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. These shifts may be natural, such as through variations in the solar cycle. But since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.
n Burning fossil fuels generates greenhouse gas emissions that act like a blanket wrapped around the Earth, trapping the sun’s heat and raising temperatures.
b We need your help. One person can make a difference. Are you willing to help?
[[Heck yeah!->Yes]]
[[Talk to the hand!->No]]

c You made the right decision. I will say it again, "One person can make a difference." In order to make a difference, you have to really know and do your research on the topic of climate control. Are you ready?

I think you need to go back and think about what you read. Climate control is killing our world. Just go back and read it again.

n Here we go. The more you know the more you grow. The more you grow, the more change you can make in the world.
n What is the primary cause of climate change?

If you are not ready to help, I understand. Maybe you should go back to the start and wait until you are ready to help us make the world a better place to live.
[[Start]] show scene Deforestation fadeIn

b You are close but not correct. Deforestation is also a problem, but it is the second leading cause of climate change. The burning of the trees when they are cut emits CO2 and carbon dioxide, and since they are cutting the trees down, there is nothing to absorb it all.
b We need our trees more than we need the million-dollar houses that are being built.
[[Question2]]
show scene Fossil fadeIn
show character c Normal center fadeInRight
c You got it!! Fossil fuels are the leading cause of climate change. Think about it. We use fossil fuels to fuel our cars, create electricity, and ensure that our homes and businesses have light, heat, and air to make it comfortable for us to work. The emissions from fossil fuels are trapped in the air. It blankets the world, which causes the planet to change its weather patterns.

b Are Global Warming and Climate change the same thing?
[[TheyAre]]
[[TheyAreNot]]show scene Global1 fadeIn
show character n Normal right fadeInRight
n They are not the same thing. Global Warming means the rise in global temperatures due mainly to the increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Global Warming is a part of climate change.
n On the other hand, climate change is the increasing changes in climate measures over a long time. This means precipitation, temperature, and wind patterns.

Remember when you first started this game, I told you, "But since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas.?"
Well, if we use solar power, we will not need to use coal, oil, and gas. Tesla has those great electric cars. Lectric has created awesome electric bikes. Plug them in with the electricity you get from solar panels, and WOW! What a difference you can make.
Can you go home and have a conversation with your parents about this?
[[I-can]]
show scene Thetwo fadeIn

I know you did not know this, but native plants help stop climate change. Some of the native trees help to store greenhouse gas and carbon dioxide.
When your parents are working on their lawns, tell them to use native plants because they help wildlife and make the community healthier because they would not have to use lawnmowers that cause a lot of noise and carbon pollution. You know what else? They require little maintenance.
Go home and tell your parents what they can do at home to help combat climate change!

But what does that mean to you?
It means giving money or raising funds to help create or protect nature reserves and parks. Your money can help to save species that are dying out.
Can you do that? Even if you are a teenager, you can help!

You already know that plastic is not good for the environment. People talk about this all the time.
What you can do to help this problem is to bring your reusable cups to restaurants, work, etc.
If there is no plastic to dump, we are doing our part.

Lights require energy, right? So, what is the best way to save energy? Turn off some lights. If you are not in a room in your house, turn the lights out. If it is daylight, open the curtains and use the normal sunlight to light your rooms.

A good way to cut down on the cost of gas and to stop those nasty emissions is if where you want to go is not that far, walk, or ride a bike. Just imagine if everyone did that and/or drove electric cars or rode electric bikes.

The website https://climatechange.ucdavis.edu/climate/what-can-i-do/how-to-avoid-food-waste, states, "As a last resort, food waste is sent to a landfill. This wastes food and the land, water, and energy used to produce it. In fact, if food waste were a country, it would have the third highest carbon dioxide emissions, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations."
Tips
Is your fruit slightly ripe? Don't throw it away - use it!
You can have a "Clean your fridge and eat what's in it party.” Don't waste all that food; eat it!!!
Make too much food? Share it with your friends and family.
Try the tips above to avoid wasting food from the start.

Just like what was said in bringing your own bottle or mug, we need to calm down on the plastic. Most places now are using paper straws instead of plastic ones. A few restaurants are not putting lids on drinks. There is a lot that we can do to get rid of plastic.
