Rain

My dad always told me about what had happened 10 years ago, there was a meteor coming to destroy earth, and the astronauts destroyed it. Fairytale am I right? What a boring story. He would always say, “Alto! That was the fate of the world..” yada yada yada… Then I would plug some headphones in and ignore him. I wish I hadn’t ignored him. There was something ON the meteor that only went into our atmosphere 10 years later... An infection. It infected the rain. Anyone who touched the rain went crazy… This is when it all began.. Chapter 1 It was an ordinary day in school, the day of the first infected rain. I’m kinda a shy kid, people called me Alto because of my high pitched voice, but my real name is Aldo.. It was during math class, but most of the class were out sick, it was just seven of us.. A few people had their faces against their desk, bored as hell. Some people were listening intentivley to get a good grade.It all seemed so normal, just a 9th grade math classroom. Then when we all got an alert on our phones. It read; *The Rain, It's in the rain*. We hadn’t noticed the rain outside until then, it looked normal, so why should we be scared? Until we saw a man in the rain. He was clawing at his face, blood pouring out of his eyes. Then he saw us staring out the window and started running towards us. The P.A System Rang in, “STAY IN YOUR CLASSES NO MATTER WHAT”. Most of everyone was crying and screaming as the bloody man started banging his head against the window. What do i do? [[Disobey and get out of the classroom.]] [[Stay in the classroom and protect yourself.]]

Chapter 2 ‘I have to get out of here!’ I think to myself, and start to run to the door, when Mr.Lini(my math teacher) runs past me and starts to close the door, I manage to slip through into the school hallway before he slams the door shut, locking it with a key. I’m baffled and start to yell at Mr.Lini, “Open the door! There’s a dozen other students in the-” My words are cut off as I hear a window shatter and all the boys and girls screaming for their life. I suddenly feel my eyes grow wide as I remember my friend Ruby was sick yesterday and didn't come to school today. Was she really dead? Was she, one of those things… I snap out of my thoughts as the kids start to bang on the door to get out. “MR.LINI! ALTO! HELP US” Saskia wailed like a banshee. Saskia WAS a preppy girl, but did she deserve this? I look at Mr.Lini and his face is expressionless. All of the sudden both of our phones ping again with the same alert. THE RAIN, ITS IN THE RAIN. What’s in the rain? Why don’t they say how to stop it. I realize the math classroom has gone quiet and peek through the small window on the upper half. I gag at the sight of open intestines and livers and gore inside the bloody mans mouth, only one girl sits in the corner, under a desk, quiet, but she’s alive, and silently crying .The bloody man is feasting on Saskia’s guts, blood pouring out of his mouth, and turns to see me staring at him. He slowly gets up and starts to bang on the door with the most retched scream. The one girl sits under the desk and watches intentively. Mr.Lini and I look at eachother, and we both nod our heads. “We need to go to the cafeteria and get food..” Mr. Lini proposes. “No? We need to get to the school’s security office, to get a weapon? Trust me, I’ve seen movies like this..” I reply. “THIS SHIT IS IN THE RAIN! We need to get water before its all contaminated.” He says waving his hands, the bloody man starts banging on the door louder, almost as if he had four hands. Ive never heard Mr.Lini curse… “Or we can split up, like a group of stupid horror movie tropes?” I ask. [[Cafeteria]] [[Security]] [[Split Up]]

Chapter 2.. I back away from the window and pick up a meter stick of all things, holding it like a baseball bat. Mr.Lini(The Math Teacher) dashes past me and shuts the classroom door to the hallway, locking it shut. **What the hell? Mr.Lini?** I turn to look at the door when I hear the window shatter and all the boys and girls screaming for their life. The bloody man was inside, and he grabbed the nearest person, Kyle! Kyle the best quarter back in the football team! The man sinks his teeth into Kyle and blood spurts everywhere. A girl runs over to the door, it was the preppy Saskia. “MR.LINI HELP US.” Saskia wailed like a banshee. Saskia WAS a preppy girl, but did she deserve this? Did *we* deserve this? Kyle is already on the floor and seemed to be dead, but he starts to get up with blood gushing out of his eyes. The window was open, and the rain was starting to slow down. I turn to Saskia, "Saskia, we need to jump out and run through the courtyard to the other side of school!" "But the rain!" "Cover yourself with your clothes!" I take pull my hoodie over my head and start to run and jump out the window. "Jesus nerd! Ok!" Saskia jumps out too with her *designer* jacket and we run across the courtyard to the 10th grade section of the school, i feel the rain tapping on my hoodie but we make it through and slam open the door. I take off my hoodie and throw it against the wall before the water can leak through. I turn to Saskia and see her clutching her hand. "I got a drop on it, I'm fine right?" Saskia stares at her hand, it looks normal. "It looks okay, I think we're safe.." I say, still keeping my distance away from Saskia. "You scared nerd boy?" "N-no!" All of the sudden both of our phones ping again with the same alert. THE RAIN, ITS IN THE RAIN. What’s in the rain? Why don’t they say how to stop it? WHY IS IT MAKING THESE MONSTERS? Mr.Lini praises me We decide to go to the cafeteria, and start running in the hallways, turn by turn getting closer to the cafeteria. The closer we got,we heard more noise. We arrive at the Cafeteria and it IS CROWDED. Mr.Lini points out the cafeteria reserves. *Holy shit, this place is packed!*. The kids are fighting for the water and food and screaming at the top of their lungs. Mr.Lini runs into the crowd towards the cafeteria reserves. *What the hell are you doing??* I run after him to see him trying to open up the cafeteria reserves. It unlocks with a key. I run past him into the cafeteria reserves. I look around and see that their is kitchen knives compiled in one area, and the water in the other, which should I go for first? [[KnifeS]] [[WaterS]]

I glance over at Mr.Lini and she seems completley calm, so I make sure to do so too. "You two alone?" J asks. "Yes, I was just looking for something to protect us with.." I say, all I had was a meterstick from math. Saskia looks at me and makes a face as if *I can protect myself*. For some reason that reminded me of Ruby. J eyes the meterstick too, it was covered with blood, and he takes a few steps back. He unholsters the taser in his pouch, and lays it down on the floor. "Now don't do anything stupid.." J says, then proceeds to turn the corner and disappear. We decide to go to the cafeteria, and start running in the hallways, turn by turn getting closer to the cafeteria. I start to advance through the halls, turn by turn getting closer to the security room, every so often I hear an ambient noise and stop in my tracks. We arrive at the security room and I attempt to open the door, "It's locked.." I say. *Damn it, of course it's locked, its a security roo-* my thoughts are cut off when I hear a voice behind me. "Turn around and hold your hands up!" It's Officer J, the school security guard. I hold my hands up and make sure we dont make any sudden moves. I so I make sure to look as calm as possible. "You all alone?" J asks. "Yes, I was just looking for something to protect myself with.." I say, all I had was a meterstick from math. J eyes the meterstick too, it was covered with blood, and he takes a few steps back. He unholsters the taser in his pouch, and lays it down on the floor. "Now don't do anything stupid.." J says, then proceeds to turn the corner and disappears. I decide to go to the cafeteria, and start running in the hallways, turn by turn getting closer to the cafeteria.
