You grin, excitedly ordering donut and a jug of spider cider! She holds her hand out expectantly, and you reach into your pocket. Hopefully the gold just appears there when you need it.

It's cold on your hand, yet before you can even remove you hand from your pocket, Muffet's hand is filled with gold by a stark white hand. You stare at the hand in surprise.
"It's on me, new friend."
You follow the arm up to the face attached, staring into swirling stars and shimmering sockets. You're caught, locked into a contest. Who will look away first?
You can't. You're too entranced by the gentle glow, especially when his face flushes in the same soft colors as his sockets. Wow.
"Earth to Comet."
Another voice caused your staring partner- //Comet?//-to look away. How rude. You look towards whoever spoke, squinting a bit.
"Sorry to cut off your moment, heh. Names Stretch, your staring partner is Comet. This is Mutt."
He's motioning, and you spot the last skeleton hiding behind Stretch a bit, face bright red. He looks easy to fluster.
You introduce yourself back, smiling.

Aww. Comet is still blushing. You'd love to talk more, but Muffet has your food.
You grab it, happily settling into a seat and starting to eat. The three skeletons seem like they're going to leave soon, but Comet walks up to you first.

You can almost feel the eyeroll from Grillby, who shrugs and waves you off. Oh well, you guess. Glancing over, you see that the classic version of Sans has taken his counterparts place. You offer him a thanks, and he just shrugs, chuckling.
"look, i dunno why but my friend wants you to have this."
A paper is set beside your place, and Sans just stands afterwards. He calls out for the others before vanishing with them. Huh?
The paper is carefully folded, and has a soft blue font writing a number on it.

You settle in, nibbling on the burger and fries. It's just as good as you imagined when you played Undertale for the first time. Yum.
A few monsters greet you, and you greet them. But none cause your phone to go off. Are the skeletons really the only 'proper' love interests? Wild.
Maybe you could call about that [[maid job]], now..So, you head out. And call, as soon as you pop out of the door. Maybe you should have waited until you were at the hotel room, but you kind of want to see just how fast you can leave the hotel.
You tuck your phone to your ear, humming as it rings.
It's ringing for a while, actually. Like, too-long a while. Finally, though, it clicks through.
"hello?"
The voice is gentle, and slightly smooth on the edges. It's nice to hear.
You tell them you're calling for the job listing.
"oh! amazing, thats really good. when are you available for an interview?"
You tap your finger to your chin, before shrugging to yourself. Right now, probably.
"really?"
You hear shuffling as you confirm, and the sound of the phone being dropping.
"sorry- sorry! i can be at, uhh.. the local monster grocery story in a few minutes?"
..Where is that?
"huh? oh, are you new in town?"
You hum, looking around the street dumbly. Where the hell would a monster grocery store be located?
"have you been to muffets? or grillbys?"
Oh! Yes, indeed you had been.
"when you leave, follow the street towards uhh.. the big mettaton building. its that way."

How you missed the giant, bright pink building, you'll never know. But you tell them you see it.
"awesome. i'll be at the store in like.. 15 minutes. gotta grab my bro, he's the one who posted the ad."
You tell them you're excited to meet them, and hang up. Okay. 15 minutes. That should be enough time to walk down the street and find the store, right?

The humans seem to be arguing. They're perfectly distracted, and they don't even know you're there.
You keep trying to catch a glance of whatever or whoever is surrounded by these humans.
You don't have much luck, really. The most you can gather is what the humans are saying.
"Dirty monster!"
Which isn't helpful.
You only gather that it is, indeed, a person. And that they are a monster. That sort of rubs you the wrong way, though. Who calls a monster 'dirty'? Racist humans, obviously.
You could.. [[help]]. Or [[leave|fun]]. Both are okay options.Oh shoot. You turn left and right, looking up and down the street. Maybe you could just.. Go [[down the street|Down the street]]? You look around. There.. really isn't much to help you. Especially when they have guns! Maybe you could cause a distraction? And run?
That sounded like a terrible idea, but it was the only idea you had.
With a heavy sigh, you walk closer to the group of humans. You take a deep breath, and shout at the top of you lungs.
All the humans freeze, many gazes looking for you. They all look hideous, and you're unsure if its just their faces or if its the fact that you know they're racist scum.

You can feel the anger rising in your chest, but force it down with a careful breath. There's a board nearby that you could use to hit one of them.

The board is heavier than you expected. But its easy to hurl it at them. You hope the monster doesnt get hurt.
There's a loud snap, and a flash. You're confused, until you realize it was from one of their guns. They'd shot at you, but.. not hit?
A glance around shows a large, stark white bone right in front of you. It's coated in cracks. Had it taken the bullet for you?

You tell him your name, barely aware that he's still touching you. You're walking slowly, which is what you're more focused on.

You give him a look, brows raising. Is he really telling you that? As if you'd listen. You tell him as much.
He snorts, covering his mouth with a hand. His other leads you along with a feathery touch on your upper back.

You stick your tongue out at him, crossing your arms playfully. He laughs out loud, pushing you out of the alleyway when you arrive to the street. You feel brave, for a moment.
