Her eyes are hollow and //black//. The angle of her neck is all wrong. You can still smell the copper of her blood. It reeks of dead magic and dreams that ended too early.
Tonight, you killed her with your tainted magic.

It saps away from everything you touch until there is nothing but ash and death left behind. Becks has always been better at magic – at healing. But not you.<<elseif $ch1 is 2>>Becks has always been your mother’s favourite. She had the strong blood, the magic that made your mother so proud. You sneer as you stare at the lifeless corpse of what used to be your sister. In the end, even her magic wasn’t strong enough to keep the taint of your blood from killing her.<<elseif $ch1 is 3>>You always hated it when Becks used to follow you around. It became a habit of hers as children and as you stare at her dull, empty eyes, you know that she never outgrew it. She was supposed to stay home but she followed you into the forest.<</if>>
Leaving Becks for dead will only make things worse for you. Another body showing up in the middle of the woods will only lead the police to you. This time, you’re not sure if your mother will be able to save you – not when it’s //Becks// that’s dead. You know that the only thing that will bring her back is your magic.

The smell of rain barely hides the stench of your rotting blood as your slice your palms open. You smear your blood against Becks face, willing her to breathe. Resurrecting a body is a lot like filling a glass with water - except the water is //your blood//. You pour your magic into the corpse that is your sister, until you are gasping and seeing shadows at the corners of your eyes.
And then, Becks blinks.
You laugh, delirious and dizzy with the success of your plan. Becks stares at you and smiles. Instantly, you know something is wrong. The thing that is your sister stands, swaying as though learning how to walk again. She leans down and all you can smell is the rot of your blood and the stench of her decay.
