So anyways, last night I finally fixed it, though it took about 2 hours and I immediately passed out (that's an exaggeration but I was tired haha)
I think the issue may have been with me importing files on top of the pre-existing file?? (I do that so I can switch between working on this with my school laptop and my pc whenever I want)
It happened AGAIN when I checked twine just now BUT luckily I actually remembered to save everything to an html file last night because hell if I'm losing all that progress again. So to (hopefully) solve the issue, I deleted the the original file in twine BEFORE importing the html file, and that should prevent the file from overwriting/duplicating itself??
Anyways now I'm MEGA behind because I STILL don't have loop 3's placeholders replaced yet. I also had plans for making the intro to the trailer with Scratch to really sell the "haha i dropped the graphics settings oops" joke buuuut with the time I have, I think I'll leave it out. Sometimes I need to tell myself that I don't HAVE to go all out in EVERY school assignment haha. Yesterday I finished this sick song for the trailer though, I hope you guys enjoy it!

The brother's cheery expression shifts into a mixture of mild confusion and concern. "Gee, did I do something wrong? What's got you so worked up?"

I finally found it.
I have found what I believe to be the true reason behind this //merging// of realms. High energy readings are eminating from a powerful device constructed by some of the residents of the other realm. The Director is sending out a scout next week to locate this device and bring it to me for further research and experimentation.
With my current, albeit limited findings, I hypothesize that destroying the device will sever the ties between our dimensions. Once I have it under my possession, I must take many safety precautions. Such an opportunity for test subjects is rare to come by.
