(align:"<==")+(box:"===XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX==")[(align:"<==")+(box:"===XXXXX==")[(align:"=><=")[//The Knight and the Princesa //Written by ''Alejandra Ibarra'']]] Summary: 'The Knight and the Princesa' takes place in the Kingdom of Solacío where Princesa Palua rules. In the kingdom of Solacío, the Princessa makes it a point for her subjects to always be happy, joyous, celebrating life and throwing parties all year long. The kingdom exudes the appearance of happiness. Princesa Palua promotes these ideologies and believes her people follow them every day. Ex-Knight Zedra, roams near the outskirts of Solacío and lives on a small farm in a cozy cottage. It was not the life she had dreamed for herself but after Princesa Palua took the throne, she vowed never to return. Unfortunately for her, she is summoned by her old captain who she adores, to take his place as the representative of the Knights of S as he is stuck from his journey back to the kingdom. She agrees to his request and does her best to avoid even a single glance towards the princess. An accident occurs forcing the two to meet and a fight breaks loose. Before things go any further chaos ensues. An ambush from a neighboring kingdom's army interrupts the festivities and the two must work together to ensure safety for their people before it's too late. Will Zedra and Palua be able to put aside their differences and save their kingdom or will they tear each other to pieces before then? Their journey begins now. [[Begin]] [[References]] Zedra leaned on the back of her heels and rocked back and forth. She stood tall, with her hands behind her back as she surveyed the area. //A force of habit.// A crowd began to form. Old and young gathered together. Purple and orange ribbons adorned women's hair and children ran around with small orange and purple flags. //Beautiful.// Zedra tapped her fingers against her other hand and a deep pressure weighed down on her chest. Her Ex-Captain Tobias had requested her presence at Solacíos capital. He needed her to take his place and appear as a representative of the Knights of S. While on his way back to the kingdom from a mission, he had gotten stuck a few towns over. She looked up to her old captain. He was like a father to her. Even more so after she left her position. Despite the sentimentality she refused his request. It took a few pleas and a bribe for her to agree. She smirked as she glanced down at her new bounce boots. The black, shiny beauties were finally hers to add to her vast armor collection. They also matched well with her Knights of S pin that sat just above her collarbone. "Did you hear, just last week, it seems the Princesa ignored the urgent letters from the Prince of Isoko Kingdom. I just don't get her. She believes in happiness but doesn't extend that policy to others." Three women conversed as they walked along the grassy path. "Me neither. She thinks she is the best leader there ever was. How can she possibly think we can maintain happiness daily like she demands when she selfishly forces attendance to unimportant events like these. I've got work to do, children to feed." [[Eavesdrop]] "Welcome all to this wonderful celebration. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart that you could join me, Matey and Mimi," Palua said On screen Princesa Palua adjusted her white tulle, rhinestone dress as she faced the camera. With her long white boot skates, Palua skated down the palace's ramp. She held a puppy carrier in each hand. Arriving at the edge of her large, overly decorated float, she whistled. A rainbow trail whipped past staff and stopped before her. With the two carriers, she hopped on, descending the rainbow as she arrived at the top. A balloon throne awaited her, as well as two smaller versions for her puppies. Palua shook her red hair back and forth and faced the crowd, grinning. "Today my little Matey turns four!" Palua lifted Matey who wore a pastel blue jacket and dark blue ribbon. Sighs and squeals emerged from the crowd as the focus turned to the puppies. Zedra pursed her lips as she held back a smile. "On this special day, I would like to wish Matey a Happy birthday!" Palua said. Palua pecked Matey's head and placed him down. She walked over to the side of her float. Court staff placed a harness on her, with a string connected to it's back. Zedra shook her head as flashbacks to years prior came to mind. Palua was known for her theatrics and this year it seemed it would be no different. // Great.// Palua smiled once more. "Let's kick off this birthday celebration. I can't wait to greet every single of you!" One by one, floats passed by. Suddenly, a group of teens rushed past the crowd. From their hands, paint-filled balloons were launched. Zedra could not ignore her sense of duty and ran. With a bit of force and some bargaining (a tour with the captain around the Knights of S training center), Zedra pulled the teens away from the main road. As she re-joined the crowd Zedra sighed, ignoring the screens, and staring at the floats before her. Palua grinned as she looked all around as she stood at the top of her float. Lifting her arms, Palua jumped off the float and landed gracefully. The excitement rose from the crowd and Zedra groaned. The time had come for the main event. From behind the large bow on the back of her dress, Palua pulled out her shimmer stix. With a love for dance and her stix, her go-to accessories, showering everyone in a glittery light show was her passion. Every year, Palua unveiled a new trick to wow the people of Solacío. Although she would never admit it, Zedra did admire Palua's enthusiasm for the arts. She had always been generous with fundraisers and self-donations contributing to fine art clubs and centers. Although, Palua's fascination with customized boot skates were a bit overkill in Zedra's opinion. Palua began her dance. She hopped and twirled her shimmer stix around, allowing her to float for a few moments before she had to swirl it again and again. She spun and jumped. Images made with glitter appeared. Palua hopped around the float. She laughed and smiled. Zedra stared down at her boots, unimpressed. A high-pitched scream pierced the air and Zedra's head whipped up. A young boy ran onto the road, a cream pie in hand. His mother stood, stuck amongst the crowd. As Palua descended to the ground, she lifted her shimmer stix. Her performance was near its end and she began to wobble. Palua tumbled to the ground, knocked a balloon unicorn from the side of the float, and landed on a cream pie. A few scratches appeared as her skin brushed against the road. Now covered in pie, she whined. The float came to a stop. While Palua struggled to regain her balance, the young boy remained crouched beside the large unicorn balloon. [[Let the court staff help Palua and the kid]] [[Help the kid]] Zedra watched as the court staff bumped into one another around the top of the float. Palua continued to sob and complain about the state of her dress. To her, everything was ruined. Staff eventually came to her aid. Zedra noticed how no one's attention was on the boy. [[Help the kid]] Zedra ran over and crouched before the kid. The boy looked up at her, his cheeks stained with wet streaks. "Are you okay?" The boy shook his head, back and forth. "What's your name?" "Romi." "Hi Romi. Why don't you hold onto my hand so we can go back to momma, ok?" Romi hugged himself and stared at the ground. Zedra glanced towards to the older woman whose hands gripped the top of her head. Zedra looked back down at the boy. She scrunched up her nose and stuck out her tongue. After a while, the boy laughed at her antics. Zedra smiled. Zedra pulled something out from her compact, and discreet tool belt holder. "Look, this is a light wand. It helps you be brave and feel happy after being sad. If you want it you can have it, but you have to take my hand. Momma is worried for you. Maybe you can help her feel happy again too." Romi's head turned. He looked back at Zedra and accepted her hand. Together, they walked away from the road. Romi ran and gripped his mother's legs. She bent down and crushed him against her chest. Romi turned, his eyes wide. "I didn't forget. Here you go. Don't let go of your mother's hand. Just like this wand helps make people happy, you make your mother very happy. When you run off, she will be sad. Ok?" Romi nodded. Zedra patted Romi's head before walking back to her spot on the other side of the road. Palua stared at her as she did. "Um, hello!" Zedra glanced at Palua who sat legs spread out like a child, a pout on her face. [[Ignore her]] [[Answer her]] Zedra continued walking. "I know you can hear me Zedra!" [[Help Palua]] "Yes?" Palua motioned to herself. "Um, a little help over here would be great." Zedra rolled her eyes. "Come on!" Palua flicked some cream off her arm, grimacing as soon as she did. Zedra laughed. "It's not funny!" "It is to me." Palua glared. "Help me!" [[Help Palua]] [[Continue to ignore her]]Addressing royal problems had not been a part of Zedra's life for two years now. She wasn't going to start now. Stopping at the edge of the block, Zedra leaned against a lamp post. Two knights ran past and grabbed the teens. As they struggled to detain them, a few more teens ran towards them, hurling even more paint-filled, and slime balloons. Zedra's eyes connected with Ruiz, one of the knights, a young one who she had not spent much time with before she left. "So much for representing Tobias!" Zedra remained indifferent. "What happened to the girl who would take care of what's right, regardless of her personal differences? [[Stop the teens and let the parade run smoothly]] [[Leave the parade]] "My husband overheard that tensions have been on the rise between Solacío and a few other kingdoms and lands. Even with that cute, doe face of hers, the little creature that lives inside can't be contained for long before it comes breaking down her exterior. That's why me and my husband have been filling our emergency get away jar for a few months now!" //I shouldn't do this. What would Tobias think of me right now?// "Shh. Let's not get carried away here. We'll talk more of this later. How are Katala and Jord doing?" The three woman continued their conversation as they found a spot amongst the people. //Even if they are right.// A few kids passed by; toys in hand. One popped a confetti popper causing the contents to land on Zedra's short, purple hair. Zedra shook her head as she smiled at the kids. As she ran her hands through her hair, removing the colorful paper, the two large screens that hung on the large clock tower ahead, changed from black to the large steps of the palace. Zedra looked up as Princesa Palua appeared, two puppies in either arm. //Of course the Princesa would add screens to force her face upon everyone while we wait for her grand finale. // Zedra crossed her arms as the camera captured the ridiculously dressed, redhead. Zedra sighed, stood straight once more, and did her best to smile as a few citizens greeted her as they passed by. [[Princesa Palua's Welcome Speech]]"Fine." Palua glanced over to the kid and his mother as Zedra grabbed her arms. "Such a brat, crying for no reason. It was his fault. Now my dress and performance were ruined. I'll have to have a word with his mother. There are repercussions for negative emotions here. Ow!" Palua falls back to the ground. She rubs her bottom and glares at Zedra. "What's wrong with you?" "Oh, sorry! I can't help you. Your negative emotions are showing. Which ones you ask? Well I can name a few, whining, bratiness and self-pity. Where are your repercussions Princesa?" A few people in the crowd laughed. Palua glanced towards them, her eyes wide. "Take that back!" "No." "Oh, you will!" Palua pushed herself up, trembling as she did. "No, Palua I won't. I am not a resident of Solacío, nor am I under your rule. I did nothing wrong. You did." Palua glanced around. The stares of the crowd unsettled her. Her chest rose and fell; red painted her cheeks. "You....you!" [[Walk away]] Zedra laughed and left Palua alone. What was the point of bringing her staff if they weren't going to be efficient? She did not deserve her help nor her empathy. After a few moments of the crowd's laughter, the court staff came to take her away. Palua's red cheeks and frown were Zedra's trip. The parade finished and with content, Zedra awaited Tobias' return. [[Speak with Tobias]] "I am disappointed in you Zedra. I thought you honorable, good." Tobias' commanding voice was soft but firm as he paced across the outdoor hallway. Zedra hung her head. //How could he talk to me this way? He knows what she's like the most.// The knights at the training center did their best to hide as they eavesdropped. //I can still see you.// Zedra's frowned. Tobias stood before the short stone railing that overlooked the main hall. "I thank you for coming and for the most part... handling today's events well, but I won't inquire for your services again. Zedra I'll see you when I see you. For now, please go home." [[Leave the training center and head home]] [[Stay and get justice for your reputation]] Zedra left disappointed in herself. Tobias was a good man and still thanked her. Zedra knew Tobias went as easy as he could on her. He could have said she was never to come back, or she could have been stripped of her title. Zedra accepted Tobias' order and pondered on ways to make it up to him as she went back home. The End. [[Try Again->Help the kid]]Zedra left, angry. Palua deserved a bit of humiliation. It seemed as if no one else had the guts to stand up to her, except for herself. //If they don't want to bring her down, I guess I will.// Tired of being professional and stuffing down her emotions, Zedra knew she had to hatch a plan soon. If she had to kiss up to Palua for a while she would until, she could gain the upperhand and bring her down for good. For now, she had to work her way up again, gain Tobias' favor and regain her honor. Months and Months went by and Zedra could never get her plans to work. Tobias and the knights foiled her plans and kept her away from Solacío. After a while Zedra's anger left and she accepted that she was wrong. She stayed in Solacío and continued to learn more from her mentor. The End [[Home->The Knight and the Princesa]] Zedra smirked as she walked away. Home was calling her name. Screams rang out as large tree-like men jumped into the air and landed on the road. Many more followed. Zedra's head turned. //Oh no.// The Fostos from Verdaiz Kingdom were a strong army. Their green hued skin was an indicator to their strength, plant life. They threw stones left and right, tearing down floats and pushing citizens. The crowd dispersed into many different directions. Many were hurt by one another as they tried to get out of harm's way. Quickly, Zedra aided people. She tapped her pin three times. A beep rang out three times. "Knights, I need everyone to direct and help people get to the safe center. I know it's tricky right now but it's the best thing we can do now. Any one near the clock tower, help me push back these tree barks back into the forest!" "Princesa! Please help us! What do we do?" Some of staff crowded the Princesa. A few citizens kneeled before her, tears rolling down their faces. Palua trembled in her stance. Her lips quivered and her eyes watered. [[Move Palua to safety.]] [[Yell at Palua]] "Everyone, please follow that group of knights over there. They will get you to safety. Please!" The staff and crowd do as Zedra says and followed the five knights. A Fostos appeared behind Palua. "Palua!" [[Pull her to safety]] "Palua move!" It was no use screaming. Palua was frozen. [[Move Palua to safety.]]Zedra grabbed Palua and pulled her along as she ran. "Palua. Palua! Now is not the time to freeze!" Zedra stopped and shook Palua by her shoulders. Palua looked at her. "Look, you're either going to help, or not." Zedra grabbed the bell that hung off of Palua's dress and swung it back and forth. Palua's rainbow trail weaved through the chaos and stopped before them. She bent down and grabbed Palua's shimmer stix and placed both the bell and the stix in her hands. "If you're frozen with fear, you will do more harm than good. Take Ribby and get to the safety center along with everyone else. You can at least help calm the people there." Zedra ran into the horde of people. The road, a mess. A nearby Fostos spotted her, a sharp toothed grin stretched across his face. //Oh my, what ugly creature you are. // [[Use my silk swords]] [[Use some celebratory supplies]] [[Fight physically]] Zedra bent down and reached inside her boot. Out came two small swords. She twirled them in her hands, warming them up. She gripped the handles and stretched out both of her arms to each side. Silk streams of fabric flew out from each. A gift from Tobias, Zedra was unsure if she was still capable of using them. They came with a fame filled title that she walked away from but still desired. Zedra took a breath and scanned the area. Two Fostos were messing with a few citizens, an older woman, and a father and daughter. //Who do I help first? // [[I'll save the elderly woman]] [[I'll save the parent and child]] Not confident in her fighting skills, Zedra decided to engage in hand to hand combat with the giant Fostos that charged towards her. Getting closer, Zedra realized too late, how rusty she was. Without her tools and hard earned skills, she was useless. [[I am crazy]] Without any time to think, Zedra picked up a few party poppers, sticky glitter balls, and paint filled balloons leftover from the celebration. With her stronger arm, she threw two party poppers near the giant's face. The Fostos cringed. He lifted his arms to block the tiny light sparks from entering his eyes. This did not keep him busy for long as the festivities dampened the longevity of the party supplies. As she neared the giant, Zedra threw the balloons to the ground before him. As soon as the giant took one more step he slipped. He tried to keep his balance but struggled. Zedra took this moment to run as close as she could to the giant. She evaded the swing of the Fosto's arms and shot the sticky glitter balls onto his hands. She slowed to a stop and watched as the Fostos giant fell to the ground. He tried to rise but his hands remained stuck to the ground. Zedra took a deep breath, a few droplets of sweat slid down the side of her forehead but she smiled. Success. She turned and froze. Twenty more giants stood behind her. //Oh, double berries! // [[Fight physically]] [[Use my silk swords]] [[Give up]] In emergency care, Zedra layed on a hospital matress. Tobias visited her everyday. She recieved a medal for her bravery. Zedra laughed as she saw how beaten she was in the mirror. Palua sent a letter, thanking her for her help. The kingdom survived the attack, thanks to the rest of the Knights of S and Palua. With Zedra's advice, Palua went into action and helped her people. Zedra remained in the hospital, proud of herself and glad to be still alive after that fiasco. The End [[Home->The Knight and the Princesa]] Unfortunately, for Zedra the lack of practice and care for her past skills depressed her. She saw the commotion and realized she was just making things worse. Palua left like she requested, and she was content with that. If this was the way her story ended with Solacío, she accepted her fate. She left forever this time. [The End.] [[Try Again->Pull her to safety]]The Fostos held her up by her arms and she knew that the woman would not be able to last much longer. She whipped both of her silk swords out and ran towards them. She aimed one sword towards the occupied arm of the Fostos giant. Her silk sword flipped around his shoulder. Zedra steadied herself and hoisted herself up. She swung back and forth until she was able to reach the top of the Fosto's arm. Both of her legs wrapped around, and her hands followed. The giant looked at her and began to shake his arm but Zedra blew a hypno powder that stopped him in his tracks. He stood, his mind in another world for a few minutes. Zedra slid down and reached the giant's hand where the elderly woman hung. Zedra released one arm and reached for a tool from her belt. She pulled out a safety ribbon, something Zedra created when she attended secondary school. Even before becoming a knight, she had made a name for herself. Zedra glanced at the ribbon. She ran her finger across it, her eyes glossy. "Watch out!" Air left Zedra as the Fostos free arm smacked her. She fell and landed with a harsh thud onto the ground. The elderly woman twisted, turned, and swung her legs. One of her arms slipped from the Fosto's grasp. Zedra looked up. From the elderly woman's hand, a cane hung. [[Use elderly woman's cane]] The cries of the young girl broke Zedra's heart. Two Fostos seperated the girl from her father. Each one confined to a spot and trapped by the them. Zedra bolted. Her silk swords flapped back and forth in the wind. [[Get the father's attention]] [[Save the daughter first]] The elderly woman struggled but swung her cane with as much force as she could. It flew and Zedra jumped up to grab it. "Thank you!" Zedra ran and grabbed the end of her dangling silk sword. With the hilt in her hand. She swung herself once more and wrapped herself on the giant's arm. She unraveled her sword from his arm. Holding the cane, Zedra charged up the Fostos' shoulder and poked him in one eye. The Fostos groaned and lifted his arm to his face. Zedra whipped her silk sword onto his other arm. She swung and landed on the edge of his shoulder and quickly, she gripped the cane tight. Zedra stabbed the giant's other eye. The giant let go of the elderly woman, lifting his other arm towards his face. Zedra tumbled. She held on to her silk sword and jumped off. Grabbing her other silk sword, Zedra whipped it and aimed for the elderly woman. The tip of the sword wrapped around the falling woman. As Zedra slid, her silk sword engulfed the elderly woman, becoming a cocoon. "Thank you dear!" The elderly woman broke free from the webs and stood before her. "It was my duty, but I appreciate your thanks." Zedra tapped her pin. "Hey, can anyone come and retrieve this woman and send her off? Thanks." A knight appeared and guided the lady away. [[I'll save the parent and child]] With her silk swords, Zedra waved her hands behind the large Fostos that stood, watching the man. After a few moments, she had his attention. She motioned for him to stay silent as she tiptoed closer. She pointed to a steel rod, broken in half from one of the parade floats. With her fingers, she waved three of them and placed herself in a running stance. The man gave her a discreet approval. Zedra nodded. As she placed all three fingers down, Zedra ran in the opposing direction of the steel rod. Instead, Zedra ran towards the Fostos. One silk sword wrapped around one his legs. As the Fostos became distracted, the man ran away and grabbed the steel rod. Zedra zipped past the hands of the Fostos and whipped her other silk sword towards the rod. Once the silk was secure, Zedra pulled it and flung the heavy piece of metal against the giant's stomach. As the Fostos held his stomach, Zedra retracted her sword and flung it once more towards the second leg of the giant. She pulled both swords at once and down the giant came. [[Save the daughter]] If I save the daughter, I may not have enough time to save the child's dad. There are two giants guarding her. [[Get the father's attention]]Occupied with helping the man to his feet, Zedra failed to notice the Fostos that eyed her. Suddenly, she was in the air. The little girl and man became tiny dots. // Oh no.// She squirmed around. She tried to free herself but found it futile. She sighed. //What do I do now?// Sparkles appeared in front of her, and a bright light shone above. Zedra flinched. Opening her eyes, she saw Palua sitting on Ribby. Palua waved her stix around, shooting beams of lights around her. Zedra fell out of the Fostos grasp. She gasped. Palua, with Ribby's aid, came to the Zedra's rescue. Palua reached out to Zedra. Ribby extended his tail and pushed Zedra up. Zedra held her hand to her heart. [[Thank Palua]] "Thank you." Palua grins. "Why, you're welcome Zee!" Zedra scowls. "Don't call me that." Palua laughs. "Let's help the girl." "Right!" Palua and Zedra flew back to the ground. They grabbed the girl and sent her and her father to a group of knights. "Team, go ahead, I think that's the last of them. We'll catch up." As they descended Ribby, Palua could not erase the smile on her face. "What?" "You thanked me." Zedra rolled her eyes. "Yes. So what? Get over yourself Princesa." Palua frowned. "You're such a mood killer you know that. Always have been, always will be I guess." Zedra pursed her lips and cracked her knuckles. "You know what, I have been meaning to show you how I've felt about you over these past few years." Zedra ran after Palua. She screamed. "Get back here!" Palua turned around and opened her mouth. "No!" Zedra stopped. "I'm done. This is ridiculous." Palua took a step forward but noticed a large shadow on the ground. She turned her head. "Zee!" "I said don't…" Two Fostos stood behind them. [[Call Ribby]] [[Call a knight]] "Palua, call Ribby!" Palua grabbed her bell and rang it. Before Ribby could rescue the young ladies, two red spiked balls circled them, and engulfed them in their own force fields. Both, Zedra and Palua were lifted off the ground and floated in mid-air, their hands stuck to their sides. A small figure walked over to them. With the wave of their fingers, Zedra's pin was ripped from her blouse and Palua's stix from her hands. "Sorry ladies, but you have to come with us." [[Trapped]] Zedra tapped her pin and waited for a response. "Hello, Zedra? You ok?" Two red spiked balls circled her and Palua. "Ow!" "Palua?" The spike stopped at Zedra's sides and a red light engulfed both ladies in their own force fields. "Ow." Both, Zedra and Palua were lifted off the ground and floated in mid-air, their hands stuck to their sides. A small figure walked over to them. With the wave of their fingers, Zedra's pin was ripped from her blouse and into their hands. "Sorry ladies, but you have to come with us." [[Trapped]] Solacíos castle became smaller and smaller as Zedra and Palua were led away. The small glob, a Mantuann from Emote Isle, whistled a tune. His small round body glowed a bright yellow. "What's the deal with Emote Isle?" Zedra glanced at Palua, who’s eyes were closed. The two young ladies remained a few feet in the air as the Mantuann drove a carriage. Silence. "So now you don't want to talk?" [[Keep going]] [[Move onto a different subject]] "Well, it must've been real bad since we ended up like this." Palua opened her eyes and turned her gaze towards her. She grinned. "Why were you so sensitive when I called you Zee? Remind you of something embarrassing?" Zedra looked away. She shook her head and laughed. "You really are something Princesa." [[Move onto a different subject]] Zedra glanced at the two Fostos who walked behind them. "I think we could take them. If only we weren't currently occupied." Zedra glanced down at the force field around her. "What about I turn on my charm and after that we run?" "Really?" "Really." Zedra glanced at the Mantuann. "What the heck, let's give it a shot." [[Plan A]] "Hello. Mr. Mantuann man -" "Call me Ero." Palua glanced at Zedra. "Ok, Ero. Um, this girl needs to take a break, could you please make a pit stop?" Ero glanced at Zedra and Palua. Zedra grinded her teeth. //Come on.// "Sure, I'll let you take a break, but only for a moment." The group made their way through a paint splattered road. The trees began to look like paint brushes. They were passing through the Land of Cantua é Artes. A paint tubed cell awaited them not far from where Ero stopped his carriage. He brought them down to the ground with the flick of a finger. The two Fostos walked past them and stood near the cell. "Can you let us go now, because we really need to go, like now!" Palua's acting was considered award worthy. Zedra could not believe this was the way she was viewing it for the first time. "Sure, go." Zedra glanced at Palua. "Um, sir. What do you mean? Look at us? We're still stuck." Ero chuckled. "You're not floating are you? Go do your business behind the wall over there and come right back. If you don't, well you'll be coming back anyway." [[Plan A Pt. 2]]"Once we get back out there. Stay calm Palua. We only have once chance." Zedra peeked around the corner of the wall they stood behind. "While on our way here, I saw the Mantuann use a controller for these contraptions. All we have to do is walk back and seem like were complying, you act once more, and if that goes well, we're on our way back home." "Ok, I can do that." Zedra and Palua walked back towards the paintbrush cell, their faces void of emotion. "Thank you for making my job easier." Zedra smiled at the Mantuann. The controller sat in the back pocket of the suspenders he wore. She coughed and walked ahead, towards the cell. "Oh, oh my!" Zedra turned. Palua was on the ground. Her arm over her head. "Oh, my. My head feels light." Ero made his way to her. "What's wrong?" "Oh no!" Out of the corner of her eye, Zedra glanced back at the Fostos who conversed with each other. She tiptoed over, feigning concern. She bent down, reached for the controller, and slipped it out of the Mantuann's suspenders. Zedra stood. "Now!" Zedra pressed the button on the controller and the force fields disappeared. The spiked balls fell to the ground. Palua grabbed her stix, Zedra grabbed her pin and they ran. Zedra pushed her legs as fast as they could go. She looked back and saw as Palua tripped and fell. [[Go back and get Palua]] [[Leave her behind]] Zedra glanced back. Ugh. She grabbed Palua's hand and dragged her as she ran. Both ladies ran for a while until they were sure they were free. "Thank you." Zedra glanced at her and nodded. They continued walking, passing through a forest as they did. "What do we do now?" Zedra walked over to a large rock and sat down. Palua sat on the edge of the rock. "Well, we have to…" Zedra lifted her finger to her mouth and motioned for her to crouch down. Zedra crawled behind a large bush. Palua followed. "How could you manage to lose them!" Ero, now red, ran alongside the two Fostos. "When I get my hands on them, they'll wish they hadn't run away!" Ero eyed the surroundings. "Send word to your leader. Send more troops to Solacío. Since the Princesa has run, her kingdom is free to take!" Ero and the Fostos ran off, leaving the forest silent once more. "We need to get back to Solacío." Zedra stood and marched. "Zedra wait!" Palua scurried behind her. "Wait for what? They're going to Solacío now. We can't let them harm our people." Palua looked away. "What is your problem? You’re the Princesa. The one in charge. Shouldn’t you be a little more worried?" Palua bit her lip. Her hands gripped the ends of her dress. "You are worried, for yourself. Wow Palua. I can't believe you really are that low of person." "You can't blame me. First the Fostos and now the Mantuanns'. I don't want to die!" "You don't want to? Well, you should've thought of that before leaving a terrible mark as Solacío's ruler. You've destroyed relations countless times for terrible and stupid reasons. You're so selfish and full of yourself that you can't see the damage you've done!" Palua stomped towards Zedra and stood in front of her. "You have no idea what I've had to deal with. You have no right to be angry with me! I'm scared. Ooh, wow! It's normal to feel scared. So what? You gave up on Solacío long ago. Where was your courage then? "This isn't about me. This is about you not growing up and seeing that there's much more to life than to throw parties and being obliviously happy all the time. News flash Princesa, life isn't always glitter and sunshine. We suffer daily trying to abide by your stupid rules of maintaining happiness and celebrating anytime your dog has a birthday or you bought a new vehicle, yet you fail to keep yourself in line with your own rules." Palua's eyes watered. Palua walked back to the rock, slumped down, and crossed her arms. "If you're not going to do something I will." "Fine by me. We've spent too much time together already." Zedra huffed but began to walk away. She stopped and looked back. Palua remained seated, facing the opposite way. [[Go your own way]] Zedra eyed Palua's shimmer stix that were on the ground. She grabbed them and continued to run. She knew it was a terrible move on her part but she continued on. She ran until she saw the Kingdom of Isoko in the near distance. //Yes!// A group of large, stuffed animal knights known as the Fluff Knights, guarded the Prince's castle. Zedra examined the entry ways and the number of knights in total. She wouldn't be able to fend them all off. She looked down at the shimmer stix in her hand. //Maybe?// After a few moments, Zedra entered the castle. The Fluff Knights disguise she created turned out to be convincing enough for them to let her in. Alone, in a hall, Zedra ditched the disguise. She ran and ran until she found the throne room. There, Prince Huggs, the king of Isoko Kingdom sat. Zedra approached the Prince. "May I please have a word with you, your highness? I come from Solacío where a great tragedy has struck." He stared at her for a few moments. "You may." Zedra was surprised. Unlike Palua, Prince Huggs cared for his postion, his people. Zedra learned that Palua was the one who broke their alliance together. She did not want to help him and his kingdom even after he aided her with a problem not too long before. He could no longer keep her in his favor. "Although Palua has tainted both kingdoms relationships, please help Solacío." Zedra pleaded with him for his help. If not for Palua, she asked him to help her. "You started as a knight yourself, didn't you? Can you please respect a knight's honor? Prince Huggs stared at her. He glanced around the room before agreeing. He smirked. "Solacío may be in good hands after all." Zedra, with Prince Huggs and his Fluff Knights returned to Solacío. There they were joined by Tobias and the Knights of S. They defeated the Fostos and returned peace to the kingdom. Palua, returned not too long after. The people of Solacío were unhappy with the way she dealt with things and planned to kick her out, but Zedra intervened. "I know she is not perfect but neither am I. I left her behind. Would she have helped me like she should have. Maybe, maybe she would have caused a bit more trouble. Regardless, I believe Palua should be given another chance." The people agreed but petitioned for a change of power, at least until Palua finished community service and proper royal training classes that she never recieved. Palua agreed and asked Zedra to take her place as Solacío's leader. Zedra was shocked and unsure. "Don't worry, you have a good start, unlike me. Who knows, you may even stay at the castle even after I return. You are a valuable asset to Solacío and I thank you for caring about this kingdom, when I didn't." Zedra took over for Palua as she worked on bettering herself. Both ladies did their best, day by day to work together and keep Solacío a great place to be. The End. [[Home->The Knight and the Princesa]] A few hours had passed and Zedra dragged herself along. She rubbed her arm. A few Atals crossed her path. //Of course, since I'm still in Cantua é Artes. // "Zedra!" Palua ran, sweat on her face. "I'm so glad to see you!" Palua bumped into Zedra and clung to her. "I ran into some more Mantuann's. They are still looking for us!" "Uh, you mean you." Zedra pushed her aside and walked. "Zedra please don't be like that." I… I can't do it. I can't save Solacío. Not alone." Zedra nodded. "Come on. We have to hurry. It seems like we both went through a rough two hours." Both ladies laughed but their smiles faded as large, fluffy plush animals, the Fluff Knights, charged towards them. They were lifted and placed onto the shoulders of a bear and a bunny knight. After another two hours, the Fluff Knights along with Zedra and Palua, arrived at Isoko Kingdom. "Ah, welcome!" The bear and bunny knight dropped Zedra and Palua onto the ground. Palua scowled. "So not necessary!" "It wasn't? I think this was the best way to greet trash like you Princesa Palua." A tall, lanky young man walked over to them. He wore a simple purple crown. Palua gasped. "How dare you refer to me as trash! I am anything but!" "It is so not nice to see you Palua." "Vice-versa Prince Huggs." Zedra stood. "Look I don't care what happened between the two of you but, we can't stay here. We need to get back to Solacío, so can you please let us go?" Prince Huggs glanced at Zedra. He smiled. He walked up a few steps and sat on his purple decorated throne. "Who are you?" "Zedra." Prince huggs pointed. "A knight I presume?" "Yes." "Well Zedra, I'm afraid you and Palua will not be leaving. You see Palua here stole from my kingdom." Zedra looked at Palua who stared at the ground. "Palua, a few months prior, sent me a notice stating she was in desperate for some love elastics, a strong string that our kingdom produces. I gave her a good bunch and she promised to pay me back, but she never did. She robbed me and my people. Next thing you know, she's wearing some with a horrendous outfit, may I add, in one of her frivolous celebrations." Zedra glared at Palua. "So, you see, she has debt that needs to be paid. You two aren't going anywhere." [[Run]] [[Accept your fate]] Zedra turned and ran. She did not get far before both of her arms were seized. Two Fluff Knights dragged back to her spot and dropped her beside Palua. [[Accept your fate]] Zedra and Palua were sent to the castle's holding cells. A few Fluff knights stood guard, one slept at a nearby table. "This is all your fault! None of this would be happening if it weren't for you. You get what I meant now Princesa?" Palua sat, her legs were brought up to her chest. She laid her head and hands on her knees. "Say something." Palua remained silent. Zedra bent down and grabbed Palua by her shoulders. "Say something!" Palua raised her head. "What do you want me to say?" Zedra sat away from Palua. "Ugh, you're so difficult you know. How could I have gone back for you?" The cell remained silent for a few moments before Palua stood. She walked over to the bars and leaned against them. "I never wanted to be the Princesa of Solacío." Zedra looked up at Palua. "What do you mean? You've always been a Princesa to Solacío, your parents were the king and queen." "They left me. Ma and Pa... were distant parents. I tried to follow whatever they asked of me. If I cried bruising my knee playing a sport, they laughed and said I was crying for something so unnecessary. Happiness was the key to life for them. They believed everything they did should exude happiness and perfection. My feelings and hardships were frowned upon. I was punished for mistakes or problems. They never were sad or mad about anything, except for my matters. In fact, they never truly cared… for me. Zedra looked down at her hands. "They left the country, leaving the kingdom in my care. They did not care to act anymore like the rulers they made everyone believe they were and decided to destroy the image of their own daughter. They took their money and ran away. I'm am sorry for everything I have done, and everything I have yet to correct. I had no clue what I was doing and never asked for help from anyone. I'm sorry." Palua's body sank to the ground. She hunched over and placed her head and hands in her lap. Her shoulders shook as she cried. Zedra hurried over and wrapped her arms over her. "I'm sorry that you went through that Palua." Palua laughed as she wiped her tears. "I don't mean to be so pitiful; I don't want to be pitiful anymore. If we get out of here, I promise to do much better. I promise to ask for help" Zedra lifted Palua and patted her shoulder. "I will be there for you and we are getting out of here." "How?" Zedra looked around the small room. There were a few items on the table that Zedra eyed. Not good enough. Zedra stared at the sleeping Fluff Knight's uniform. A few tools/weapons sat in his shirt pocket. Bingo! // But how do we get them in our hands?// [[Reveal your secret]] [[Find another way]]Zedra took a breath and glanced at Palua before rolling up her pant leg. Palua's eyes widened as she saw the normal part of her knee stop and the rest of her leg became clear with colorful globs floating around, like a lava lamp. "On one of my missions I got hurt. I did not want to replace my wounded leg, so when you suggested to my captain that I should recieve this leg replacement, I was angry. I was angry that you suggested the idea, that you were actually nice to me and that you made me look different than everyone else. The students at my secondary school made fun of me. They called me Glowy Zee. I know this seems extreme but at the time, I couldn't handle it. Now I think I shouldn't have held this against you nor sacrificed my passion for the ugly personalities of others" Palua grinned. "You still look awesome to me." "Yea? Well, you're going to really think so in a minute. I have another reason why I had that nickname." Zedra stretched her legs. Zedra moved her body in slow but sharp movements. As Zedra engaged in a traditional Solacío dance, her hair began to glow opal white. Palua gasped. Zedra concentrated and stared at the Fluffy Knight's uniform. The objects from the Knights' pocket floated in the air. Zedra continued her dance, and the items flew across the room and into the cell. "That was so cool!" Zedra smiled. "Let's get out of here!" [[Leave the cell]] Zedra tried to come up with another plan but could not. She sighed as she faced Palua. [[Reveal your secret]]Prince Huggs laid on his throne, his eyes halfway shut when the door to the throne room slammed open. He stared as Zedra and Palua entered. "Guards!" "They're taking a nap. You will be too if you don't follow our instructions." Zedra pointed a small knife in Prince Huggs direction. It was a toy sword from the Fluff Knight, but she acted as if it wasn't, hoping he wouldn't notice. Prince Huggs lifted his hands in the air. "Alright, you have defeated me." "Well, you could join us voluntarily. You aren't a bad guy Prince Huggs. I understood your frustrations. But Palua is my friend." Palua smiled as her eyes watered. "You know what a life of a royal is. You know how heavy that crown can be. I promise Palua will correct her wrongs but right now we need to get back to our kingdom before it gets destroyed forever." Prince Huggs glanced from one to another and tapped his fingers on the arm of his seat. "I will help you." Zedra cheered. Palua hugged Zedra and she hugged her back. [[Go back Home]]After arriving back to Solacío, Zedra, Palua and Prince Huggs gathered the Knights of S and the Fluff Knights to fend off the Fostos and Mantuann armies. Seeing their Princesa fight for the kingdom, the citizens that were able, joined in on the fight to protect their home. With the extra aid, Zedra and Palua were successful in saving the kingdom. After a few had passed since the battle, Palua's image had changed. She was slowly becoming the true Princesa of Solacío. She was not perfect, but she tried every day to be better. Zedra stood by her side as her right hand. Although she had judged her and hated her, Zedra was now happy to be beside her. She was glad she returned. If she had not she would have never made a great friend nor would she have erased her regret of leaving the greatest thing in the world, being a knight. There were still many wrongs needed to be corrected but Zedra comforted Palua. She assured her, she was there for her and would always be. The End [[Home->The Knight and the Princesa]] Zedra walked away. Ruiz turned and stared at her as she did. Zedra avoided his gaze. "I won't tell him, but this moment will always be remembered." Ruiz shook his head, as Zedra continued walking. After a few blocks, Zedra stopped. She sighed. Her cheeks warm. //We both will.// Would that really bother her? She left once. What's a second time going to do? [[Leave Solacio]] [[Go back]] Embarrassed, Zedra left. It was no use coming if she was not the same person she once was. Being a knight did not matter to her like it used to. What's the point? To follow the rules of the kingdom and the Princesa, whom she detests? Zedra headed back to her little cottage on the outskirts of Solacío. There she sat, the events of the parade replaying in her mind. She shook her head as she headed to her room to rest. The End. [[Try Again->Begin]]Zedra stopped walking. She glanced at the buildings around her, the empty stalls and playground. She sighed and ran back towards the parade. The Knights were dragging the teens down the block, by the time Zedra arrived. Ruiz caught her eye. He gave small smile before looking away. Zedra's cheeks warmed as she tried to offer the same in return. She rubbed her arm as she joined the crowd once more. //I should have done something sooner.// The excitement rose from the crowd and Zedra groaned. The time had come for the main event. Palua grinned as she looked all around as she stood at the top of her float. Lifting her arms, Palua jumped off the float and landed gracefully. Although, Palua's fascination with customized boot skates was a bit overkill in Zedra's opinion. Her performance was near its end, she began to wobble. Palua tumbled to the ground and landed on a cream pie. A few scratches appeared as her skin brushed against the road. Now covered in pie, she whined. The float came to a stop. While Palua struggled to regain her balance, the young boy remined crouched underneath a large, balloon unicorn that stuck out on the side of the float. [[Help the kid]]
