"//The Hounds of Tindalos//"
<<type 50ms start>>Imagine a creature that can materialize at any time within any shadow. Its head, a contortion of flesh, warped and filled with holes. Although I noticed some canine features, this entity was unlike any normal hound I know. The Hound of Tindalos is what I decided to name this creature. It is the first entity I encountered a day after our ritual with Nythalarthotep. I noted many abilities this creature had which I witnessed, but feel as if there is more to this creature than I saw. What concerned me most during my experiences was how it can appear out of any shadowed corner at any time. I would feel its gaze upon me throughout the day but for some reason it never attacked me. I guess that it was watching and waiting for a moment to strike. Although I feel uneasy about this creature I can't comprehend what its true goal is.<</type>>
<<return "Back">>//"Dimensional Shambler"//
<<type 50ms start>>I myself have yet to encounter this entity personally but my wife claims to have seen a long-limbed creature in our backyard many times 3 days after our first communication with the entity. She enjoys opening the bedroom window and peering outside each morning, taking in the fresh air. During one such moment, she claims she witnessed this creature hurl itself through the shed wall. Upon investigation, I found nothing disturbed within the shed. Its ability to seemingly phase through planes could be why I have not been able to encounter it yet. I have given much thought to how it appears and disappears so quickly and have concluded that this unknown creature can travel through planes in some manner. As such I believe it warrants the name Dimensional Shambler. Similarly to the Hounds, I am unsure as to its goal, but I know I must keep my distance and pray that I can learn its objective before it is too late. <</type>>
<<return "Back">>You head outback towards the shed, lying against the side of it is a steel push mower. After grabbing and wheeling it onto the lawn you check the blades before beginning to mow. The swish of the blades spin on the grass makes for a satisfying noise as you clip your way back and forth through the brush. Soon you find the backyard complete.

A bed lies under the windows looking out to the backyard, in the right corner of the room is a pink frilled cradle. A large cupboard stands in the opposite corner, its hand crafted doors seem to indicate that the cupboard is a family heirloom, it doesn't match the rest of the room furniture in any way. The bed is well made and covers most of the room's space. Both sides of the quilted bed have a nightstand with their own lamps. Lastly another door lies on the left wall leading to the bathroom.

The shelves were often made of dark, polished wood, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the room. Each shelf was lined with books, some standing upright, others lying on their side, their spines displaying titles and authors in gold lettering. The titles ranged from classic literature to scientific journals, historical accounts, and poetry collections. Some books were well-worn, with frayed edges and dog-eared pages, a testament to the countless hours of reading and re-reading they had endured. Others were pristine, their pages still crisp and new, and had yet to be opened.

Our beloved daughter Elizabeth has seen 5 doctors in the past two weeks. None of which have helped with her sickness. A Fortnite ago she was stricken with some illness that caused insanity. The poor girl can barely walk, eat, or sleep. She wakes up to horrors throughout the night and calls for us, many a time we run into her scratching at the walls, begging to be let out. Eleanor and I are confused, distraught, and at our wit's end. We just want our daughter back. Eleanor is searching for answers but no scientific help has revealed anything so far. She claims there is someone or something we could reach out to for assistance. I have never believed myself to be superstitious, but being that my daughter is at life's end, I must confront that fear of the unknown and trust my beloved. It has been a long week since my last entry. I am both happy and afraid. A few days after my previous entry, we completed a ritual Eleanor had found that allowed us to commune with an entity named Nythalarthotep. This entity had given us specific tasks to help our sweet daughter heal. At first, we were thrilled to see some light return to our daughter's eyes… but darkness fell over our home at the same time. I have never felt more in danger in my home than now. Even now, I feel the shadows are watching me, waiting to strike. As we complete more tasks set for us, strange and unnatural occurrences happen. My wife woke up on the other side of the house this morning. I spent hours trying to find her, I couldn't even hear her screaming. Only once she rang a small handbell did I find her lying cold and afraid on the living room floor. I write this now as both a reflection and a warning. Although my daughter is becoming more of herself every day, we seem to be allowing unmatched horrors into the world. My wife doesn't wish to stop, but I fear that soon it may be too late, and I might have to choose whether to help my daughter live or keep this evil away from this world.

With a flick of the switch, the hum of electricity fills the room. The light exposes the dark corners of the room, casting a warm orange glow on everything it touches.

You hang up your coat and you step into what appears to be a living room. Dimmed lights hang overhead the center of the room shedding a warped light over the space. A TV rested under the left window with a broad sofa across from it. Books lined numerous shelves covering the walls, some of them you recognized as books of science others are unclear as to what they are. On one of these shelves near the kitchen’s door sits a rotary phone, and next to it a small handbell. You see a hallway adjacent to the kitchen door and a dining room directly to your right.

Thank you for taking care of our home while we are away. We want to make sure that our cat is well-fed and happy, so we would appreciate it if you could feed him while we're gone. Here are some instructions for feeding the cat: <</type>> <<type 50ms start 1s>>
Our cat's name is Oliver, and his food is in the large white bag on the counter. We usually give him a full bowl in the morning, and he usually paces his own eating schedule. Pretty unusual for a cat right? The cat's food and water bowls are located in front of the kitchen counter. Please make sure to fill up his water bowl as well. We have filled up his food bowl and water this morning before we left, so you wont need to feed him until the second day of house sitting. <</type>> <<type 50ms start 1s>>
Oliver is a bit shy to new people so he may hide under the bed while you are here. Once you fill up his bowls, please ring the bell to let him know his bowl has been filled with food if he is out and about, feel free to pet him if you'd like. We last left the bell in the living room on our way out. <</type>> <<type 50ms start 1s>>
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about feeding the cat. We appreciate your help in making sure that he is well taken care of while we're away.

[[Continue|Paint 4]]Like a child with no directive your hand flows without meaning, lines, and shapes emerge from your brush strokes but you know you have conceived no thought for this part of the process. Yet around you signs and symbols are coming to light. Glyphs you don't recognize, connecting symbols that you perceive as warnings, shapes that hold no meaning. All of these are drawn by you, but not you, something else.
[[Continue|Paint 5]]A jolt of pain wakes you from your dreamlike state, the brush drops with a loud clatter and you find yourself falling onto the ground. A masterpiece lies before you, none of it you can make sense of, it seems unnatural. Odd shapes collide in ways that you wouldn't think of. The cobblestone floor gives the red paint a textured appearance, assisting in making it even harder to understand. In your unease, you stumble backward as you try to rise to your feet. The cold cobblestone meets you and your mind slips into darkness.
