The only one who could have easily come in possession of a bat was a servant who was not working during the crime. All the servants had master keys that they could use in an emergency, so another servant on-site could have taken the bat and used it to commit murder.

But why haphazardly discard it in the crime scene itself? Why not bring it back to the sportsperson's room? Was this even relevant in the first place, with all these holes?

The crowd of interviewers and bystanders gather and murmur their own theories on the mystery, and Mari breathed a sigh of relief at finally not being the sign of attention.

You sit dejectedly in one of the hallways of the mansion. Kain sits next to you, trying to comfort you, but his words flow like drainage down your ears.
