One day in the year 2079, you prepared to go for a walk as usual. However, you noticed something unusual as soon as you left the house. Even though it was nearly noon, the sky remained dim, resembling a twilight scene. Then, you looked up toward the [[sun]].The once glaring golden sun was nowhere to be found; it had transformed into a dark red star.[[more information]]
Finally, the sunlight grew dimmer and dimmer until, after a few minutes, it extinguished completely. The world was enveloped in darkness, and the city lights began to flicker on.
At this moment, your phone received a message: "All residents, please gather at the hibernation bases upon receiving this message."
People began to move towards the direction of the hibernation bases. As you gazed at the chaotic city in the distance, a sense of sadness overwhelmed you. Then, someone grabbed your arm—it was your friend, Sarah. Sarah asked, "Are you sure you wanna go into hibernation?"
You decide to [[hibernate]] / [[not hibernate]].You said, "I still want to hibernate."
Your friend doesn't stop you anymore.
You lie in the hibernation chamber, your body was entirely enveloped in a pale blue liquid. You entered hibernation.
[[Beep, beep, beep]]You answered, "I am not going to hibernate."
But, watching the disappearing crowd, you are unsure if this is the right choice. After the sun went out, the Earth seemed to enter an eternal night. Most people had already entered hibernation, and the world's original order no longer existed. Your daily routine now revolves around venturing out to find food. Prior to entering hibernation, there was a prolonged period of chaos, depleting almost all food supplies. You had to search in extremely remote, old warehouses to any food. This was not the life you desired.
You decide: [[Go to the city]] / [[go to the countryside]] You returned to the city, but things did not improve. What you had feared the most, the conflict between people, turned out differently. You found that the entire city had few people left. Those who refused hibernation might be hiding indoors or could have perished somewhere. Occasionally encountering a few individuals, they were all preoccupied with searching for food, unwilling to spare a glance at you. Soon, you also joined their ranks. You felt like you had turned into some kind of animal, scavenging for food every day in the barren wasteland.
You decide: Continue to stay in [[the city]] / Return to [[the countryside]]The city has more people than the countryside, so food gets consumed more quickly. You chose to live in the countryside, relying on farming and stored food to get through the past three months.
All the nearby plants and animals have disappeared. You suspect the situations are the same everywhere. However, as you attempt to plant crops, you unexpectedly uncover a species of hairless mice beneath the soil. You're unsure if these mice existed before or where they get their food from. It seems they've become increasingly common after the sun extinguished. You're uncertain whether to eat them or not.
[[Eat]] / Don't Eat and go to [[the city]].
One day, your partner said, "I regret it. I shouldn't have held you back that day. Our future is destined to be a pitch-black abyss. We should have hibernated." After saying this, she ran towards the darkness without looking back, and you couldn't catch up to her. From then on, she disappeared. Later, despite all efforts, you couldn't find any more food. Dragging your heavy body, you made your way towards the hibernation base. Upon arrival, you discovered the entrance littered with bodies; they regretted their decision, but there was no way to change it. They could only face their demise there. You found a patch of empty space and lay down next to the wall of the hibernation base.

After resolving the food issue, you discover these mice are incredibly intelligent. With a bit of training, they become delightful pets, alleviating your boredom. You begin to find something fun to do. Reading is undeniably the best choice, and at your partner's suggestion, you start gathering books. Initially, you collect ordinary books, but for the sake of reading in the dark, you start amassing braille materials. Over the decades, the collection of braille grows. It encompasses various fields: linguistics, social sciences, even children's literature and more.
When you both eventually pass away, the house is filled with books, resembling a library.
What you're unaware of is that after your passing, a few of the hairless mice escaped from their enclosures...

The base's main door was as wide as one person could pass through, allowing sand to pour in through the gap.
[[Inspect the main door]]/[[Return to hibernation]]
You reach the door, but outside, it's pitch black. With the flashlight, you could only see the sand and dried plant roots. You saw some bloody red words on the wall. [[words]]
It appears that the catastrophe hasn’t ended.
[[Return to hibernation]] / [[Walk out of the door]]When you return to the hibernation chamber, you discover that it has depleted its energy. Upon checking the other hibernation chambers, you find that the energy reserves in all of them are nearly exhausted. Next to the screen of the hibernation chamber, the display shows the numbers: 12345, indicating that over ten thousand years have passed.
[[Walk out of the door]]
Stepping out of the door, there's sheer darkness. You walk forward in the hope of discovering signs of civilization, but after a long while, it's still just sand.
Your flashlight gradually dims until you lose your source of light. You're forced to crawl and feel your way forward using your hands.
You discover that udner each of your hand, the ground feels different – one side is damp soil, the other is sandy.
You decide: [[Go to the damp soil]] / [[Go to the sandy area]]As you walk toward the wet mud, you feel the ground getting softer and the air stinking.
You make a noise on the ground, and you start to sink.
You try to pull your foot out, but it's too late, half your body is in the mud.
You catch a branch in a panic, you put it: [[across the head]]/[[into the mud]]Heading towards the sandy area, you find a dried branch and use it to feel your way.
You focus on your sense of hearing.
In the distance, you hear voices conversing, causing your breath to quicken.
You decide: [[Approach]] / [[Move away]]You approached close enough to hear their voice more clearly. Upon careful listening, you realize they are conversing in English. Uncertain of their friendliness, you opt to observe for the time being.
At that moment, the conversation abruptly halts, and then footsteps rapidly approach you.
You consider turning to flee, but it's already too late...

Someone brings food to you. Her voice indicates she's a young girl. You express your interest in learning about their culture to her. She takes your hand and leads you to a house, mentioning it's the tribe's library. You discover Braille books from the era just before your hibernation ten thousand years ago. The girl explains that these books are the wealth left by their ancestors, and their language and knowledge are passed down through these books.

You realized the world has been taken by the rats. (Twenty years ago, a scholar had predicted the sun's extinguishing. Initially, no one believed it, but subsequent substantial evidence confirmed this prophecy. Once the news was announced, the entire world was immersed in a gloomy atmosphere. In such an environment, some people went mad, some resorted to suicide, and others engaged in chaotic behaviors. Soon after, scientists began full-fledged research and development of hibernation pods to survive the prolonged period until the re-ignition of the sun in the future. Hibernation seemed to become humanity's final hope. Before the sun extinguished, thousands of hibernation bases had been established worldwide, enough to accommodate the entire human population of the Earth.)
keep information ([[sun]])You moved to the countryside and started to experiment with self-sufficiency. Later, you and your friend became partners. You prepared plant growth lights to substitute sunlight, utilized a small-scale hydroelectric generator to power the house, and started growing vegetables and grains. They sprouted and grew successfully, and everything seemed to be heading towards a positive direction.
Until the tenth month after the sun extinguished, the Earth didn't become covered in ice and snow as expected; the temperatures remained normal. However, the planet's plants withered successively during these months, and there was a significant decrease in the animal population. Relying solely on the food you cultivated was no longer sufficient for basic sustenance.
You decide: [[Go to the city]] /stay in [[the countryside]] “You're in danger! Follow these words, you might live.
1. Be alert! This is a new world.
2. Be brave! It's the only way you can survive.
3. Don't trust nobody!
4. Cover your scent! Don't let them smell you.
Good luck! May you find the truth."
