We've compiled some advices from our best baseball managers. But if you can't find what you're searching, feel free to send an email or tweet and ask your question!
Baseball Star 2 is a strategy game where you manage a baseball team through a season of
125 days.
As games are simulated, your job is to create the best possible batting lineup and get the most efficient pitchers, while balancing their energy, morale, and the team money of course!
At the end of the season, the best team of each conference, and the fourth best team overall, will play against each other in the Baseball Cup.
The first round is played in a 3 games series, while the finale is played in one unique game.
After the Baseball Cup, you'll have the choice to start a brand new game, or keep the same team and start a new season with them, keeping your progress.
Each player needs to rest between games, especially pitchers. if you view a player details page, you can check their energy level. A bright green arrow indicates a full level of energy, while a bright red arrow is a sign of great tiredness. Tired players are less efficient during games, so you should make your lineup carefully.
Players are also affected by the issue of the games they play. Great moves and wins are increasing their morale, while misses and defeats decrease it. Change their position in the lineup or let them play only the "easy" games to make them more efficient.
The best way to earn money is to simply play games. The more you win, the more you'll earn money. After each game, the earned reward will be diplayed on the game result page.
You can also make trades with other teams to earn money in some case, if you're trading a valuable player. It's the easiest way to get a lot of cash very quickly.
You can make trades with any other team while the Trade period is open. It lasts from the beginning of the season to its half.
To make a trade, simply visit a player you'd like details page, and tap the trade button (with two red arrows) on it. It will open a page where you can see what the owning team asks, and offer them cash, a player, or both. Some teams will not agree to trade you some players, or might have some demands. For example, teams will rarely trade you one of their all-star players, except for another one.
Players evolve two times during the season: one time once you've played through half the season, then at the end of it. At this time, players might level up. For example, an elite player might become an all-star player if he's played well. Rookies especially might become regular players.
Any player can be selected as player of the week (elected each 7 days) or player of the month (elected each 30 days). At the end of the season, the best batter and the pitcher are elected MVP. Four other players are selected as MVP candidates.
You can get new players by two ways: enrol a free agent or draft a rookie.
You can access the free agents screen from your lineup screen, using the top-right corner menu. You'll find all kind of free agents, but know that they can also be signed by other teams, so don't wait too long to sign an interesting player!
You can also draft rookies during draft day, which happens at the middle of the season. It lasts for two rounds, and at each of them, you'll be able to sign a rookie. Before signing him, you can read the report of your scouts so you'll have some idea about the player potential.
Draft order is determined by your current standing in the league.
