[[ඞ]]Mary, Kyle, Anthony, and Sarah stumble upon a box of bakery cookies. Their eyes all light up as they get to taste some delectable sweets, but there’s a problem.
There are four siblings, but only ''3 cookies left''.
The four siblings are gathered in a circle playing old maid. They’re all playing to decide who gets those last three cookies based on the order of each winner. As time passes on, it’s down to the last two siblings, Anthony and Sarah.
[[Choice]]Anthony only has 1 card left and needs that last pair to win the last cookie. It’s his turn to pick a card from Sarah’s hand and she only has 2 left. One of them is the 7 of hearts, and the other is a joker.
You will take the responsibility of making Anthony's next choice. What you choose will decide the fate of who gets that last cookie. And you really like cookies, right? ...at least I hope you do.
Your up now. Make your move.
[[Reach towards Left Card]]
[[Reach towards Right Card]]
Anthony reaches towards the left card. Before he takes the card though, he gets a look at Sarah's face.
To say she looks sad is an understatement. The adorable puppy eyes, tears starting to take form, her downcasted frown. She looks like she's on the verge of a breakdown. If that face means anything, it would probably mean "DON'T CHOOSE THIS CARD PLEASEEEEEEEEE!!!11!!1!11!!", or something of the sort.
Anthony starts to second guess himself. This could be the joker that she has, but would Sarah really put on this much of a show all over a cookie? There has to be more to it, but it's hard to be sure.
Are you sure this is the card you want Anthony to take?
[[Take that Left Card]]
[[Choice]]Anthony reaches towards the left card. Before he takes the card though, he gets a look at Sarah's face.
She looks determined, like she was born to win this game. It was like you could actually see the fire in her eyes. Anthony even fears that her face might turn red or she might even start foaming in the mouth. It's ''that'' bad. She's never looked this serious for anything in her life, so for Anthony to be seeing this for the first time has got him thinking.
Anthony starts to second guess himself. This is most likely the joker she has. It could also be the 7 of hearts, but I mean, what are the chances of that. Look at that face. It's clearly a trap. This is definitely her joker, no doubt about it. About a 99.9% chance it's the joker. I could show you the chance of it being the 7 of hearts, but I'm afraid I don't have enough in my imaginary Mickey Mouse budget for all the zeroes I'd have to put.
Nevertheless, the choice is still yours.
[[Take that Right Card]]
[[Choice]]Despite the mess that Sarah is right now, you make Anthony choose the left card. As soon as his hand pulls the card towards him, something happens to Sarah.
Suddenly, the tears go away. Her frown quickly turns into the smuggiest grin Anthony's ever seen in his life. She took a complete 180 the moment Anthony looked at what card he took. It was the Joker. ...he honetly can't believe it.
How? Or dare he asks, why would she go to such lengths for a cookie? Whatever the reason, he lost the game. Forget the game, he straight up got played for a fool. The other siblings don't even know what to say about what just happened. But one thing is for sure.
In the future, they ''never ''got between Sarah and her delectable bakery sweets ever again.
The game is over, but you can go back to the start if you want.
[[Start]]Despite knowing the obvious dangers, you make Anthony choose the right card. As soon as his hand pulls the card towards him, something happens to Sarah.
That once dedicated aura that she had completely went away. Like poof, it's gone. Curious as to why, Anthony takes a look at the card... there's no way. It's the 7 of hearts! The last pair you needed to win the game! How was that even possible??? Like no, seriously, I have so many questions. It just doesn't make any sense to me at all!
Whatever, Anthony wins. He gets the last cookie to himself. Or he shares it with Sarah, or... man I don't even know. Happy Ending I guess, yippee. I'm going to the gas station to buy a powerball ticket. If you want to replay the game, there will be a different narrator who definitely isn't me, but it's not like you'd know that anyway, this is a text game. I don't even know why I'm telling you this but see ya.
[[Play]] ...woah! Wha- What are you doing here? This room is off limits to you.
You have a game of Old Maid to decide upon. Don't waste your time in here.
Go on. Shoo. Get.
[[Start]]
[[...]]So this is what we're doing. Ok. That's fine.
I didn't wanna see you pick a card anyway. Just treat my whole game as a joke, will you?
I got the message.
[[Start]]
[[Come on, man]]No. Don't give me that. If you wanted to start caring now, you'd already be at the game, making a choice. Do you know what I had to do to make this whole thing possible?
I had to steal a cookie from some bakery. I committed theft to make this game a reality. It wasn't even good.
Waste of a sunday afternoon to you, I guess?
[[Look, I'm sorry]]*sniff* You mean it? Like, real talk? You're not messin with me? You'll play the game the right way??
[[Anything for you]]Aw shucks. I'm glad I got you to change your mind.
You know, you're not that bad. I misjudged you, pal. This just might be the start of a beautiful friendship. Wait here, I'll get the game ready. Whatever you do, just don't press that big "Convenient Mind Eraser That Erases The Mind of Everyone in the Room" button.
That would be a real doosey, wouldn't it? Haha!
