4 A.M.

Looking out of the window you catch a glimpse of a dog rounding the corner of your street. The screams trail behind. The rain continues. [[Return|Start]]

The rain soaks you instantly. You follow the fading yells for help. As you round the corner you hear a [[van]] door slam shut.

You enter a tunnel about 12 feet high. There is a main dirt path and on each side are knee high structures made out of wood with large wooden poles that reach the ceiling every 4 to 5 feet. Small wooden struts fill the ceiling with the lower struts having animal skin and various fruits being hung off of them. Home made bone tools litter the ground and lower structures. In the distance you still hear cries for help along with a lit [[fire pit|fire pit wphon+clothes]] at the end of the long passage.

You can't see the car any more but it's red and blue lights light up the street around the corner. [[Suddenly]]

As you head back home you notice a shadow in your window.

You make your way down using the phone as a light. The ground is mud. Now in a wooden hall way, there are short wooden structures around you. Above is a network of wooden struts. At the end of this passage is a lit fire pit. At this distance you can only make out thick strands of hair. It seems something is dropped into the cauldron. Loud scratching sounds from above. It stares down the hall. You wake up in the hopital. The police were right out side the van when you got shot out of it. When you have the strength, you ask about the squrriel. They tell you the wind that brought you back to the surface was so strong that it nearly pushed everything in the street. In the confusion they lost track of the animal. Before you can ask about the van they tell you the van tipped over and the tunnels underneath collapsed. Any further invesitagtion has been put on hold to revonate the whole city block. It takes months to recover. Life is getting back to normal. You finally get a new phone, thankfully [[all the data was backed up in the cloud]].
