Welcome to Thayer High in Pinnacle, GA. Giselle is a graduating senior who is biding her time until she enrolls in Georgia State on a partial scholorship. "Good. I got a B on that science test. I was nervous." Giselle is an honor roll student 4 years straight but not an "A" student by any means. She's a sometimes 'A', Most of the time 'B', a few times 'C' student. Giselle spots Hailey Michaels walking down the hallway, grinning, and passing out pamphlets Hailey is one of the nicer minions of Thayer High's resident beauty queen, Dana Dox. Dana Dox is pristine, prim and hell in heels. Hailey walks up to Giselle to hand her a pamphlet to support Dana Dox at this year'd Miss Pinnacle Pine Pageant. Giselle takes the flyer. "Thanks Hailey! How have you been?" "I'm good! How did you do on that chem test? I really struggled." "I got a B. It was super hard though so I'm not sure how" "Haha! Same. See you around!" [[ Head to Lunch ]]

Giselle rolls her eyes and scoffs. "No thanks, Hailey" "Oh, okay. Sorry" [[ Head to the library]]

Arriving in the cafeteria, Giselle sees her best friend Katie. They have been friends since elementary school. Giselle scans the room for her boyfriend, Danny, but he's not here. Danny may be late for every class on his schedule but never lunch. "Hey Katie! Where's Danny?" "Hey! I'm not sure" [[Text Him]]

Giselle walks into the library, heading straight to the computers to print her paper for 3rd period class. As she walks past the aisles, she hears a girl giggling in the "kissing corner" of the library. "Oh shoot, it's lunchtime" a guy in the corner says. "Got to go". There's more giggling. Giselle texts Danny. "Hey! wya?" No response. "Weird. Maybe he's chatting with a teacher." Giselle sits and chats with Katie on future dorm room decor. As they talk, Dana Dox and her posse walk in the cafeteria. Dana smiles at Giselle but the smile doesn't reach her eyes. [[ Leave lunch early to print History paper ]] [[Go Find Him]]

Something about what she hears throws her off and she decides to peek around the corner. Giselle's boyfriend, Daniel, is making out with pageant queen, Dana Dox between the the bookshelves [[ Call him out ]] [[Meet Katie at Lunch ]]

Students are always hooking up back there. Giselle rolls her eyes and prints her paper. [[ Head to Lunch ]]

As Giselle hustles down the hall to library, she runs into something hard. Or Someone. "Ow" "Sorry! Hey babe!" Danny pulls back to see Giselle. "Hey! What happened to you at lunch?" Giselle walks through her front door and goes straight upstairs to her bedroom. Her phone buzzes with a text from Katie. "Gi, have you heard?" [[ Respond. This sounds important. ]] [[ Ignore. She just wants to gossip ]]

You respond. "Heard what?" Katie calls. "Hey Katie! What's going on?" "G, I don't know how to tell you this but there's a rumor that Danny was hooking up with Dana in the library today during lunch" "Huh?" you laugh in disbelief. "No way. Giselle ignores Katie's text and opts to call Danny instead. They didn't see much of each other this week. [[ Call Danny ]]

You call Danny and he picks up on the second ring and you can hear the nervous energy in his voice. "Gigi, hey!" "Hey Daniel" "How was your day? I'm sorry we didn't get to see each other more" [[Ask him about the rumor]] [[Don't ask. There is no way it's true]]

You decided to queston him. "I heard about you and Dana in the Library today but it isn't true, right?" Danny goes quiet for several long moments. "Dana, I" "Dana?" "No, I mean Gigii. Shoot. Giselle doesn't want to fight and just wants to put all the chaos behind her. She's confident this isn't true. "I think we should break up." says Danny. "Excuse me?" "I think we just want very different things and that's okay!" Danny says. "I want to see other people." [[Hang up]]

The next day, Giselle stands at Katie's locker. "What a jerk? You guys have been together since freshman year and he doesn't even have enough respect for you to break up with you before he hooks up with someone new" "I know." You say quietly. "How did I not see this coming?" Then the double doors to the senior hallway open. The marching band leads a beat down the hallway and students cheer. "What the hell?" The cheerleaders follow the band shouting "Let's go Dana. Let's go!" Hailey shouts " Come support Dana Dox at the Miss Pinnacle Pine Pageant next weekend!" Behind her follows Dana Dox wearing her Miss Junior Pine Crown and Dana has her arm hooked into Danny's. Katie sees red. "Is he serious?" [[Stop Katie]] [[Let her cause a scene]]

Before Katie can fly off the handle, you grab her. "The last thing is a huge hallway scandal. Let's just get out of here." "Fine." [[Pretend your sick and head home]] [[Push through the school day]]

Katie sets off before you can stop her. "Daniel!" Daniel startles and Dana glares. "You trifling, son of a -" before she can finish that sentence you jump in. "Alright now, Katie" "Don't talk to my boyfriend that way!" Dana exclaims. "BOYFRIEND?" You and Katie exclaim together. "Yes, you underachiever," Dana sneers at you. "It's called dating UP! Why suffer with you when he can date a queen!" Daniel looks down unable to face you. Hailey signals for the band to keep playing and they all march past you. Giselle storms through the library doors enraged. Consumed with a strong need for revenge. She takes some deep breaths and opens PicGram on her phone. Every story is a clip of the hallway showdown or a Dana Dox promo. She keeps scrolling until the Miss Pinnacle Pine instagram post. It reads "Last day for applications to be the NEXT Miss Pinnacle Pine" Giselle reads the post and remebers Dana's harsh words. She downloads the application. [[ End Another School Day ]]

In her next class, Giselle struggles to focus. She feels sick about the events of the last 24 hours. When the bell rings, Danny walks up to her desk. "Hey Gi" [[ Ignore him and walk away ]] [[Give him some sass]]

Dana burts through her bedroom doors and pulls out her laptop. She shoots Katie a text calling an SOS. The phone rings with a video chat from Katie. "I'm doing the pageant." "Very funny, Gi" "I'm serious! I submitted my application during study hall today!" "What? Why?" Giselle hears a voice but decides she's hallucinating. She grabs her bag and walks out of class. But unfortunatley, Dana runs into her. "Jeez, watch where you're going! You could've broken my legs! Then how would I win Miss Pinnacle Pine?" Her obnoxiousness enrages Giselle. This is what Danny wants? This is what is means to be a "beauty queen". Sounds pretty mediocre to her. Then, Giselle gets a thought clear as day an before she can stop herself, she says "You aren't going to win Miss Pinnacle Pine with or without your legs. Especially with me on the pageant floor." Danny walk around to Giselle in shock. "I didn't know you entered a pageant." Dana is equally as shocked at Giselle's declaration but she says "You never asked." [[ End Another School Day ]]

Before he feed Giselle a bunch of excuses, she jumps in. "Save it, Daniel. I don't care. I don't need your apologies. I needed my boyfriend to be a good person" "I'm s-" "Shh! Save it." Giselle cuts in. Then she adds "By the wait, you just gained your girlfriend some competition. I may be an 'Underachiever' but now there is blood in the water and I'm going for the kill" "Giselle, don't be petty. You aren't the pageant type."
