It's a giant wolf, with droopy ears and wide, terrified eyes. The wolf is staring right at you, whimpering and whining.
That's when you notice the chain – a winding mass of char-black steel that pins the wolf in place. It's on so tight that the frightened animal must be barely able to breathe.
You hear that desperate voice again, although the giant wolf doesn't actually move its mouth. Somehow, it seems to be speaking the words directly inside your brain.

Valhalla. It must be. Odin's hall of heroes. But how are you supposed to get there?

You stop when you're still a few steps away. Where the chain loops back over the wolf's huge shoulder, you see something that looks like a clasp. There are more of those runes inscribed on the metal, but they're much too small for you to read.

Looking up again, you notice a delicate structure in front of you. It's a bridge, by the look of it, long and spindly, and made of something like silver.
