About Haneda
Tokyo International Airport, commonly known as Haneda Airport, is one of two primary airports that serve the Greater Tokyo Area. Located in Ota, Tokyo, it handles the vast majority of domestic flights to and from Tokyo as well as an increasing number of international flights. It is the hub for Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways.
Haneda is consistently rated as one of the world's best airports for its cleanliness and efficiency. It is located much closer to central Tokyo than Narita Airport, making it the preferred choice for business travelers. The airport has three terminals, with Terminal 3 dedicated to international flights.
It operates four runways, including the recently completed D Runway which was built on a pier/island structure in Tokyo Bay to minimize environmental impact on the Tama River flow. Haneda is one of the busiest airports in the world, handling nearly 90 million passengers annually prior to the pandemic.
